I got to see Eufy's stair climbing robot at IFA (and more new Anker products)
From pet robots to way more robot mowers than the world needs, IFA features some of the coolest tech we'll see all year. Companies use the event to showcase new products and the latest innovations they're working on, and Anker delivered some exciting updates. Also: The coolest gadgets I've seen at IFA 2025 (including ones you can actually buy) Part of the appeal of events like IFA and CES is showcasing groundbreaking technology, even if it's still a prototype. This time, Anker has the Marswalker, a stair-climbing robot that can escort your robot vacuum up and down the stairs. The Marswalker isn't a robot vacuum in itself. Instead, it's a robot meant for the new Eufy Omni S2 robot vacuum and mop, though you can also use it with the S1 Omni. Anker is reportedly planning to make it compatible with the Eufy E25 and E28 robot vacuums and mops. Also: The latest robot vacuum innovation I've tested keeps my floors sparkling (and it comes with a spot cleaner) The purpose of the Marswalker is to solve a problem that many robot vacuum users have: having to carry their robot upstairs to clean a second story and then back downstairs to recharge when it's finished. The Marswalker has tracks to move along the stairs and can adapt its stride to the shape and texture of different types of stairs to move around. Anker plans for the Marswalker to go on sale next year, though pricing information isn't yet available. Though the Marswalker is the flashiest product you'll see at Anker's IFA booth, it's not the only noteworthy one. From an AI voice recorder to the most powerful robot vacuum on the market, here are other products Anker announced during IFA 2025: Eufy Omni S2: This is the strongest robot vacuum and mop right now, with 30,000Pa of suction power. It is the successor to the S1 Omni, one of the best robot vacuums and mops. The Eufy Omni S2 has an improved mopping system, new optional aromas, and an extendable side arm. This robot will be available in late October. Soundcore Work: An AI-powered recorder can capture and transcribe audio files, and you can then ask the AI bot about what was discussed in the recording. Anker's Soundcore also announced new Sleep A30 earbuds with active noise cancelling (ANC) and a 4K portable projector called the Nebula X1 Pro. Also: Anker's coin-size AI recorder can transcribe and summarize your meetings - in one click EufyCam S4: Anker's Eufy brand combines three cameras to create the flagship EufyCam S4, a battery-powered security camera with a replaceable battery and solar panel support. The EufyCam S4 has a 4K camera and a dual-lens 2K pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera to cover every angle and proximity. The S4 camera is available for presale for $300. Eufy also launched the Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 with a radar to detect motion so they can react accordingly. AI Core: This is powered by a Qualcomm 4-nanometer AI chip and works as an addition to a Eufy Security setup. The AI Core processes captured data from your cameras to make inferences on specific behaviors that a simple security camera system doesn't capture. For example, rather than simply detecting motion, the AI Core can identify situations as a whole to send you informative alerts, like when someone is trying to open your parked car. This device is still some months away, with price info to come. Anker Prime: Anker launched a 160-watt charger with a 1.3-inch display and three USB-C ports; a new 3-in-1 Prime Wireless Charging Station for Apple devices; and an Anker Prime Docking station with 14 interfaces to support 8K monitors, four USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, and an audio port. Buyers will also be able to purchase the Prime Powerbank 26K on September 25, while a 20K version is coming later.

Anker is upgrading its global ambitionsâ€"with AI and a stair-climbing robovac system
You probably associate Anker with portable charging banks that keep your devices topped up with juice through the course of a day (or week), but the company has much bigger ambitionsâ€"as we're going to see at IFA 2025 in Berlin. Anker Innovations, to give it its full name, incorporates not just Anker products (now the number one mobile charging brand in the world) but also the eufy smart home range and the Soundcore series of earbuds, headphones, and speakers. It's an impressive line-up, and it's getting bigger. With eufy for example, Anker is expanding from home security cameras into robotics and smart printing. Case in point: Its eufyMake UV E1 3D texture printer is now officially the most successful Kickstarter of all time, raising a cool $46 million at the time of writing. Who knew UV texture printing was so popular? Anker Innovations CEO Steven Yang is one of the key speakers at IFA 2025, and will be using his stage time to set out Anker's vision and values for the futureâ€"a future powered by advanced AI, robotics, and the ultimate in innovation. "With our value framework and focused brand vision, we are championing a Maker spirit at Anker â€" creating a playground where our teams can push boundaries and define the next generation of intelligent consumer technology," says Yang. "This is not about technology for its own sakeâ€"it's about solving real challenges for consumers and igniting possibilities that make life simpler." Speak to the rest of the team at Anker Innovationsâ€"which is now more than 5,000 people across more than 100 countries, most of whom are involved in research and developmentâ€"and they'll tell you there are three key values driving everything at the company, including the new products at IFA 2025. Those values are to start from first principles and work from there, rather than following convention, to seek the ultimate in raising standards and finding long-term resolutions, and to grow togetherâ€"sharing success with users and partners, in a way that's fair and sustainable, and that can bring everyone forward. There's plenty to talk about when it comes to new Anker products at IFA 2025. First up is the eufy Marswalker, which gives your robovac the ability to get up and down stairs, with tracked drive, balance control, 3D mapping and auto-floor detection. For the first time you can clean your whole house with the touch of a button. This will be demonstrated in the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2, which is also the world's first robovac with HydroJet and AeroTurbo technologies included. These deep-cleaning systems, with up to 30kPa suction, draw up dirt and pet fibers from the deepest reaches of carpets, while also effectively wiping out stains from hard floors. It's coming later this year in Europe, with worldwide availability in January. Then we've got the eufy Security AI Core, a brand new, large-model-powered, AI home security system. The idea is it can not just recognize what's happening, but also recognize and predict intent: That means it can use lights, sirens, and voice alerts if something bad is happening, and even dispatch ExpertSecure personnel. And if the AI can tell all is well and is likely to stay that wayâ€"based on training from more than 100 real-world scenariosâ€"then the number of false alarms you get on your phone get cut down. It's a perennial problem with home security systems, the issue of too many unnecessary alerts, but eufy may have finally solved it with AI. One of the cameras that AI Core will be coming to is the brand new eufyCam S4, also unveiled at IFA 2025. There's a lot to like with this device, the first DIY hybrid camera eufy has put out: A 4K fixed lens combined with dual 2K pan-tilt-zoom lenses, providing the ultimate in flexibility, panoramic coverage, and facial detail. Pre-sales are opening up at $299. When it comes to the Soundcore sub-brand, Anker is unveiling the Nebula X1 Pro, the first portable projector with both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for a top-tier audio and video experience. The triple-laser projector offers a 4K resolution, 3,500 ANSI lumens brightness, adaptive contrast, and 110 percent Rec.2020 color coverage to tempt you into a purchase. There's also a retractable handle and wheels to improve portability, dual 5.25-inch subwoofers to get living room-level sound everywhere you go, and IP43 dust and water resistance so you don't have to stress too much about taking it outside. The Nebula X1 Pro launches on Kickstarter on September 23, for $4,000-$5,000. And there's a new Anker-branded product at IFA 2025 too: The Anker SOLIX Solarbank Multisystem and Power Dock. It brings with it up to 4.8kW AC output, 14kW PV input, and 64.5kWh storage, ensuring you always have power for all of your devices everywhere you go (up to four Solarbank units can connect to the Power Dock). With plug-and-play DIY upgrades and dual EV charger ports, it may be the most versatile solar-powered power station Anker has put out yetâ€"adding to its status as the world's #1 solar balcony solution. As per Anker's calculations, you can save up to 80 percent on electricity bills, and the system could pay for itself in four years (plus, the semi-DIY installation approach cuts installation costs by 85 percent and future-proofs homes with dual EV charging ports). It's launching in Germany first, before rolling out more widely. We can definitely expect a focus on robotics and large AI models in the years ahead (as with the Security AI Core system), and that's going to lead to smarter products as well as more product categories across Anker, eufy, and Soundcore. Anker says it's committed to thinking about the end points for these technologies, even if returns aren't immediate. In other words, some of Anker's visionâ€"which the company describes as involving "a playground for makers" (starting with 3D UV printers, but going much further too)â€"may not be realized until years down the line. It's about producing hardware and companion apps that aren't just smarter, but also safer and more creative, as the AI era continues to transform technology. While there's a limited amount of AI you can stuff into a portable phone charger, Anker isn't taking its position as a multi-billion dollar global company for granted: On top of the new products getting their grand unveiling at the IFA 2025 show, watch out for even more innovation and experimentation in the future.
