What is Claude Code Interpreter and How to Use It
It can also be used to perform heavy mathematical calculations for accurate results. Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet model is one of the best AI models for writing code, and the new upgraded model takes it even further. While Claude can generate code, earlier, there was no option to compile the code in Claude itself. But that's changing now with the Analysis tool aka Code Interpreter on Claude. It's a great feature addition for quickly running your code on Claude. Unlike ChatGPT's Code Interpreter (now called Advanced Data Analysis) which can run Python code, Claude can execute JavaScript code in the browser itself. Anthropic is calling the feature Analysis tool and currently, it's in preview. It can be used to perform data analysis, number crunching, visualize data in an interactive window, and more. Basically, you can upload spreadsheets, CSVs, PDFs, and data-heavy files and ask Claude to process the data. It can generate JavaScript code to run analysis and share meaningful insights from the data. With the help of web libraries, it can render and generate beautiful interactive visuals such as graphs, charts, diagrams, dashboards, etc. You can also use Claude Code Interpreter aka Analysis tool to perform heavy mathematical calculations. LLMs tend to hallucinate when you throw large numbers. In that case, with the help of JavaScript libraries, it can accurately perform math calculations. Keep in mind that the Analysis tool is different from Claude Artifacts. Artifacts only run web languages such as React, HTML, CSS, etc. to render web content, and can't run JavaScript code. The Analysis tool is available to free users with some message capping. Here's how you can run code on Claude itself. So this is how you can use Claude's Analysis tool and interpret JavaScript code in the browser itself. I like this functionality as it makes LLMs more reliable and usable. Google also added Implicit code execution to Gemini recently that works like Code Interpreter. Anyway, that is all from us. If you are facing any issues, let us know in the comments below.

Anthropic's Claude Now Writes Code to Do Math
Anthropic's Claude AI chatbot already has a well-deserved reputation for excelling at coding-based tasks. That advantage grew on Thursday when the company announced that Claude can now write and run Javascript code in order to analyze data and generate insights in real-time. ā Remove Ads "When you need precise, verifiable answers from data, Claude now works more like a real data analyst," the company wrote in Thursday's announcement blog post. "Instead of relying on abstract analysis alone, it can systematically process your data -- cleaning, exploring, and analyzing it step-by-step until it reaches the correct result." This allows the AI to accurately analyze and visualize data from your CSV files, providing results that are both mathematically precise and reproducible. While Claude has long been able to generate computer code from natural language prompts, the accuracy of those outputs could not be mathematically verified. The new analysis tool, on the other hand, operates more as a "built-in code sandbox," per the company. Within it, "Claude can do complex math, analyze data, and iterate on different ideas before sharing an answer." ā Remove Ads The company lays out a number of potential applications for the new analysis tool. For example, marketers can upload customer interactions for Claude to dig through and uncover opportunities to improve those conversions, while sales teams will be able to upload global sales data and get Claude to generate performance analysis for each country or territory. Similarly, finance teams can upload their monthly financial data so that Claude can identify key trends within them. Engineers, on the other hand, will be able to upload performance logs from various servers and ask Claude for help in more effectively utilizing those resources. As with its Artifact feature, Claude's analysis tool is mirrored by other major chatbot brands. Google's Gemini offers users Code Execution, which generates and runs python code, iteratively improving the results. OpenAI's ChatGPT, for its part, offers the Advanced Data Analysis tool which can also generate and run code. Khanmigo from Khan Academy, acting as an AI tutor for students, also offers highly accurate mathematic responses. ā Remove Ads Source: Anthropic

Anthropic's AI can now run and write code
Anthropic's Claude chatbot can now write and run JavaScript code. Today, Anthropic launched a new analysis tool that helps Claude respond with what the company describes as "mathematically precise and reproducible answers." With the tool enabled -- it's currently in preview -- Claude can perform calculations and analyze data from files like spreadsheets and PDFs, rendering the results as interactive visualizations. "Think of the analysis tool as a built-in code sandbox, where Claude can do complex math, analyze data, and iterate on different ideas before sharing an answer," Anthropic wrote in a blog post. "Instead of relying on abstract analysis alone, it can systematically process your data -- cleaning, exploring, and analyzing it step-by-step until it reaches the correct result." Anthropic gives a few examples of where this might be useful. For instance, a product manager could upload sales data and ask Claude for country-specific performance analysis, while an engineer could give Claude monthly financial data and have it create a dashboard highlighting key trends. Claude could attempt these tasks before. But, because it lacked a mechanism to mathematically verify the results, the answers weren't always incredibly accurate. Google offers a comparable feature for its Gemini models called Code Execution, which lets the models generate and run Python code to learn iteratively from the results. OpenAI's flagship models similarly can write and execute code via a capability that the company calls Advanced Data Analysis. Anthropic's analysis tool is available for all Claude users on the web as of Thursday. To turn it on, log into Claude.ai and click here.

Claude AI Can Now Write and Run JavaScript Code With This Tool
Anthropic's new tool can be turned on from the feature preview menu Anthropic introduced a new tool for its native Claude artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot on Thursday. Dubbed analysis tool, the feature offers a coding sandbox environment for the AI model where it can both write and run JavaScript code. While the AI model could generate code earlier, the new capability allows it to run deeper data analysis, complex mathematics, and multiple iterations. The AI firm says that despite undertaking so many processes, Claude will be able to generate real-time insights. Currently, the feature is available in preview. In a newsroom post, the AI firm detailed the new feature. The analysis tool essentially offers a sandbox environment where the AI model can now execute the written code and show the output. This feature is interesting as it allows Claude AI to source data from files such as spreadsheets and PDFs, analyse the data, write the required code, and share real-time insights. This is similar to Cognitive Labs' Devin AI, which was released in March and can handle end-to-end coding tasks and build apps and other software. For Claude, the innovation here is the addition of the test environment, which allows the AI chatbot to run code and see it perform in real-time. As a result, if a code has glitches and bugs, Claude can also fix it in successive iterations without requiring further input from the user. Anthropic highlighted that the analysis tool builds on Claude 3.5 Sonnet's state-of-the-art coding and data skills. With this, the chatbot can perform complex mathematical problems, deep data analysis, as well as test multiple ideas to find the best way to generate the requested output. Highlighting how the tool can help different enterprise teams, Anthropic said product managers can upload customer engagement data to Claude, and the AI chatbot can generate sprint planning and development priorities. Marketing teams can also benefit from this tool as the AI can find gaps in customer interactions across various channels and suggest ways to improve funnel conversions. To use the new feature, users can log into Claude AI, click on their name at the bottom left corner and look for the "feature preview" option. The analysis tool will be available there.

Anthropic updates Claude AI to write and run Javascript code
Anthropic has announced a significant update to its Claude AI chatbot allowing it to both write and execute Javascript code. Through a new analysis tool, Claude users can process data, conduct analysis and produce real-time insights with a higher degree of mathematical accuracy, making it a much more powerful and reliable tool in industries outside of the creative context where this accuracy matters. For example, it can perform complex calculations, analyze large data sets and generate interactive visualizations based on CSV files, which can be hard to digest. Anthropic claims Claude's added capabilities mean that responses will be "mathematically precise and reproducible," something that other chatbots have proven incapable of doing. "Instead of relying on abstract analysis alone, it can systematically process your data -- cleaning, exploring, and analyzing it step-by-step until it reaches the correct result," the company wrote in a blog post. Anthropic also detailed how marketers could upload customer interaction data to let Claude suggest customer engagement optimizations, or how product managers can use it to analyze customer engagement to inform sprint planning and development focus areas. The feature adds Claude to a growing list of AI models that integration code execution abilities, such as Google's Gemini models which offer Python-based code execution and OpenAI, which offers Advanced Data Analysis on flagship models. However, the company's decision to go down the route of Javascript makes it particularly useful in the realms of web-based data processing and interactive elements. Claude's new Javascript abilities are available to Claude.ai users, who can enable the update through their account settings as a preview.

Anthropic introduces a new feature that lets it write data analysis with JavaScript - SiliconANGLE
Anthropic introduces a new feature that lets it write data analysis with JavaScript Anthropic PBC, the creator of the generative artificial intelligence chatbot Claude, today introduced an analysis tool that allows Claude to write and run JavaScript code. Using the new tool, which is currently in preview, Claude can analyze data, perform complex math and create visualizations using code. "When you need precise, verifiable answers from data, Claude now works more like a real data analyst," the company said. "Instead of relying on abstract analysis alone, it can systematically process your data -- cleaning, exploring and analyzing it step-by-step until it reaches the correct result." The new feature is available in Claude.ai, Anthropic's web interface for the chatbot. It builds on Claude 3.5 Sonnet's coding and data skills, which have been improved with a recent upgrade to the large language model. Anthropic added that although Claude has always been able to code, the analysis tool adds another layer to provide answers that are "well-reasoned" and "mathematically precise and reproducible." With the feature enabled, users can upload CSV files, PDFs and other data formats to have it analyzed by the tool to have it generate rich visualizations, including graphs, charts and other analyses. Using JavaScript code, the graphs are dynamic and interactive including pop-ups and other elements that make them more useful. For example, a salesperson could upload global data for Claude to generate a trend chart for performance analysis, including mouse-overs that would display extra detail. An engineer could use the tool for disk and CPU logs on servers and the chatbot will display insights for resource utilization, including interactive plot points with extra notes. All this is done with JavaScript code so the user can ask the chatbot to change it on the fly. Because this is within Claude's chatbot interface, it also includes suggestions on potential follow-up questions or how the AI can enhance or modify the chart. The types of charts it can generate are numerous including trend lines, candle charts, pie charts, scatter plots and more.
