Ayaneo opens up pledges for the cutest mini PC you'll ever see
* This cute Ayaneo AM01S: 4" flip-up touchscreen (up to 80°) is usable as AYASpace or extended display. * It comes with powerful options, such as a Ryzen AI HX 370 with 50 TOPS AI processing power and 32GB of RAM. * It starts at $499 for Retro White Ryzen 7 with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. We love our mini PCs here at XDA. In fact, one of our editors, Joao, never wants to go back after getting into mini PCs (although he really wishes companies didn't make bad ones). And while they come in all shapes and sizes (well, as long as they're mini sizes), it's not often that you can call one "cute." Well, if you're on the hunt for something truly adorable, this Ayaneo mini PC certainly fits the bill. Not only does jit have a teeny-tiny screen that flips up on the top, but it also comes in at a really agreeable price. And while the product is still in the crowdfunding steps, it has since passed its goal, meaning you don't have to worry about the project failing to find enough money. Ayaneo reveals the AM01S Mini PC As spotted by TechRadar, the Ayaneo AM01S Mini PC is a retro-lover's dream with some lovely modern-day features. While it looks like a simple box at first glance, you can flip up the screen on the top of the mini PC up to an 80-degree angle. It's a cute little thing, reaching a screen span of only four inches and sporting a touchscreen. Ayaneo claims you can use this screen in one of two ways. The first way, and the one I could see myself using if I had one of these PCs, is using it as a display for AYASpace. This lets you convert the screen into a handy tool to display anything you like; the example Ayaneo gives includes a system monitor, a digital clock, and a volume control panel. The company also claims you can use Windows to extend your screens onto it, and while I'm unsure as to how someone can put that to good use, I'm sure you'll have better ideas than I. Under the hood is a pretty powerful piece of kit. We're looking at up to an AMD Ryzen AI HX 370 processor, an AMD Radeon 890M, and 50 TOPS of AI processing power, although you can purchase a less powerful model if you don't want to shell out for all of those specs. Interested? Well, the bad news is, it's going to be a little while until the Ayaneo AM01S releases. After all, it's still in the middle of an ongoing Indiegogo campaign. The good news is, Ayaneo has already hit its goal by 263% at the time of writing, so don't worry about that not happening. If you want to grab one, head over to the campaign page and pledge at the tier you want. Right now, there are two devices: one with an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS, and one with the aforementioned Ryzen AI HX 370. Both of these PCs come in two variants: a "barebones" version, which seems to come without any storage or RAM, or a version with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage (and for the AI HX 370, there's a 2TB variant, too). Each of those variants comes in two more variants: either a default "Retro White" case or a special "B. Duck" one. If you want an idea of costs, the default Retro White model with the Ryzen 7 8745HS and with memory included costs $499, which is a pretty good price if you ask me. However, as usual, exercise caution when pledging: pledges are not purchases and are not subject to the same rules and regulations as buying a product. Only pledge money you'd be okay with losing.

Ayaneo launches crazy little $499 machine with hinge screen, Ryzen AI chip, and shocking early crowdfunding surge worldwide
The Ayaneo AM01S mini PC has begun crowdfunding on Indiegogo with a design that stands apart from typical compact computers. The unit price of this device is $499, and at the time of writing, 18 backers have pledged a total of HKD 104,230 (about $13,400), already reaching 208% of Ayaneo's HKD 50,000 (about $6400) flexible goal, with 55 days still left in the campaign. Many systems in this category focus on discreet form factors and quiet operation, but Ayaneo has instead chosen to add a secondary 4-inch touchscreen mounted on a hinge. The screen flips from 0 to 90 degrees, allowing the device to stand upright or lie flat depending on how it is used, and can work as an extended Windows display, making it one of the few compact devices to integrate a built-in panel for quick monitoring or light interaction. At the heart of the system is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, a 12-core, 24-thread part paired with DDR5 5600MT/s memory and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage options. Graphics come from the Radeon 890M built on RDNA 3.5 with 16 compute units, which should provide enough capability for 1080p gaming and demanding workloads. Ayaneo states this delivers a 20% performance boost over earlier integrated graphics solutions. To maintain stability, the AM01S features a dual-fan cooling system with heat pipes and an additional fan dedicated to the SSD. Sustaining a 65-watt processor in such a small chassis is ambitious, raising questions about how effectively the thermal design will work under extended heavy loads. The inclusion of an NPU capable of delivering 50 TOPS shows that this machine is not designed purely for entertainment. Tasks such as large language model inference and AI-enhanced creative workloads should benefit from faster responses. Connectivity options further hint at professional ambitions, with dual 2.5G Ethernet ports and a full-speed USB4 connection. This makes the system suitable for those who need high-speed networking and fast external storage access, suggesting Ayaneo hopes to position the device as more than a novelty. The CNC-machined aluminum body gives the system a durable feel, while magnetically attached port covers attempt to combine practicality with clean aesthetics. By hiding unused connections, the device presents a tidier workstation appearance when deployed. The unusual flip-screen arrangement may suit individuals who prefer a compact monitoring panel without needing a full external display. The Ayaneo AM01S mini PC's early funding success does not guarantee smooth delivery, as many similar projects have faced delays or compromises once production begins.
