Wellness and longevity startup Biopeak raises $3 million from Ranjan Pai's Claypond Capital, Accel's Prashanth Prakash, others
The company has launched its first longevity clinic in Bengaluru and plans to expand to other metros within a year.Wellness startup Biopeak has raised $3 million in seed funding from Claypond Capital -- the family office of Manipal Group chairman Ranjan Pai -- Accel's Prashanth Prakash, and Zerodha's Rainmatter. The Bengaluru-based startup has launched its first longevity clinic and plans to expand to other metro cities in the coming year. Biopeak offers a personalised preventive healthcare service, combining diagnostics, AI, and concierge-style care to predict health risks and craft tailored intervention plans. "We offer solutions that are predictive, not reactive," cofounder and CEO Rishi Pardal told ET. The service includes lab tests, imaging such as MRIs and CT scans, and non-invasive diagnostics to assess organ system health and recommend long-term regimens. "The funding will go towards building our scientific capabilities, expanding the AI platform, and scaling operations," Pardal said. Targeted at athletes, health-conscious individuals, and people with unresolved chronic issues like IBS, Biopeak's approach integrates traditional diagnostics with AI insights. The startup has partnered with IISc and Longevity India -- a scientific forum backed by Prakash -- to tailor interventions for South Asian genetics. "There are breakthroughs in cellular tech and AI-led diagnostics, but they're not widely accessible," said Prakash. "Medicine 4.0 is about predictive, proactive care using personalised data. Clinics like Biopeak can deliver this new model of healthcare." Each Biopeak client undergoes over six hours of multidisciplinary consultation, with specialised modules for gut health, women's health, ageing, skin, and musculoskeletal function.

Biopeak Bags $3.5 Mn From Prashanth Prakash, Kamath Brothers, Ranjan Pai
Bengaluru-based wellness startup Biopeak has raised $3.5 Mn in a seed round, led by Prashanth Prakash of Accel Partners, and saw participation from Zerodha founders Nikhil and Nitin Kamath, and Ranjan Pai's Claypond Capital. Biopeak has received active interest from the investor community and the round can even close at $5 Mn, according to sources. The proceeds from the funding round will be spent on expanding the operations of Biopeak, including hiring talent, and setting up clinics. Founded in 2024 by Rishi Pardal and Shiva Subramanian, Biopeak offers comprehensive healthcare with cellular insights, imaging, and AI for personalised health and long-term vitality, its website says. The company claims to be working on healthspan engineering that detects risks early, maps the body's internal state, personalised insights based on an individual's unique biology and lifestyle, and makes interventions that preserve and enhance long-term health. CEO Pardal told Inc42 that at the heart of Biopeak lies a multi-layered diagnostic system that maps healthspan from cells to organ systems. This includes molecular testing like organic acid profiling, gut microbiome mapping, salivary cortisol rhythms, and whole-exome functional genomics, paired with high-resolution imaging such as MRI, CT, DXA, ECHO, and Carotid IMT. Its non-invasive tissue screening tools assess intracellular mineral levels, toxic metal contents, glycation load, and oxidative stress that give an insight into metabolic strain and functional drift in a patient. According to the startup, a client undergoes over six hours of multidisciplinary consultation, with slow, thoughtful medicine guiding the navigation of his or her personalised roadmap at the longevity clinics designed for deep diagnostics and sustained intervention. Biopeak's specialised modules address women's health, skin and gut longevity, advanced imaging for silent degeneration, and other critical areas. "It is crucial to go beyond the conventional biomarkers typically offered by standard labs, as those indicators often reveal diseases only after they've developed. At Biopeak, we focus on a cellular-level analysis such as assessing mitochondrial health to spot early signs and set up a disease trajectory. This allows us to intervene earlier and potentially delay or prevent the onset of specific conditions," Prakash, who is the majority shareholder and mentor at Biopeak, told Inc42. He stressed that Biopeak doesn't offer treatments like red light therapy of IV shots. Instead, it delivers AI-driven diagnostics and therapeutics, rooted in data and science. Biopeak's collaboration with institutions like IISc and Longevity India enables it to contextualise healthspan data for South Asian genetics, environment, and lifestyle, providing greater relevance and accuracy in care.
