Deloitte Is Planning A GenAI Agent App Bonanza Based On HPE Private Cloud AI
"The time to results, time to value on this has significantly decreased (with HPE Private Cloud AI)," says Deloitte Consulting LLP GenAI Principal Abdi Goodarzi. "We have a full commitment with the (Deloitte-Nvidia-HPE) partnership to bring this to the enterprise as fast as possible." Deloitte -- the $67.2 billion global technology strategy, tax and systems integration behemoth -- is creating a GenAI agent applications bonanza based on Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Private Cloud AI service. The first of a wave of Deloitte GenAI agent applications based on HPE Private Cloud AI was unveiled at HPE Discover Barcelona as part of an expanded collaboration agreement between Deloitte, HPE and Nvidia centered on the Nvidia AI Computing by HPE Private Cloud AI service. "We're going to build (AI) agents for almost every part of the business from the front office to the back office to the heart of the business," said Abdi Goodarzi, GenAI products and innovations leader and principal for Deloitte Consulting LLP, in an interview with CRN. "This is basically the wave of the future. It is the era of AI enablement. We are making a significant amount of investments in this space. Our objective is to help our clients have more efficient businesses." Among the first of the HPE Private Cloud AI-based GenAI agent offerings is Deloitte C-Suite AI for CFOs. That GenAI agent offering provides chief financial officers with a GenAI financial analysis, modeling and competitive market analysis. Another new Deloitte offering, Atlas AI, is a GenAI solution designed to accelerate life sciences discoveries centered on molecular modeling and drug discovery. Deloitte LLP has a 2025 product road map based on the HPE Private Cloud AI service that includes a "significant number" of new GenAI agents in the finance sector, said Goodarzi. "In 2025, we are going to focus on supply chain, sales, services, marketing, and tax (AI agent applications)," said Goodarzi. "Those are the areas that a lot of clients have told us they would welcome these advanced capabilities and enhancements." Deloitte is moving forward with a broad spectrum of GenAI agent apps from simple agents to assist customers to advanced agents that process large amounts of data. The Deloitte GenAI agent app offensive covers dozens of categories from the many facets of financing like invoice processing or sourcing and procurement to supply chain with planning, product lifecycle management, warehouse management and logistics, said Goodarzi. Literally every industry has business processes like claims processing for insurance companies that can be speeded up with the use of GenAI, said Goodarzi. The net impact of such an insurance claim AI agent will result in higher customer satisfaction and increased sales, he said. Goodarzi called the HPE Private Cloud AI platform a "significant game changer" that will drive dramatic improvements in business processes of all kinds. "This is a significant commitment to the partnership with Nvidia and HPE for Deloitte," he said. "We have an AI factory with thousands of developers and thousands of AI practitioners, data scientists that understand how you can bring these ideas and innovations to life. Our goal is to enable this as fast as possible." The Deloitte GenAI agent design and architecture is based on very "short cycle" development times aimed at delivering rapid time to value AI gains for customers, said Goodarzi. "The time to results, time to value on this has significantly decreased (with HPE Private Cloud AI)," he said. "We have a full commitment with the (Deloitte-Nvidia-HPE) partnership to bring this to the enterprise as fast as possible." The HPE Private Cloud AI service with HPE GreenLake packs at least a "five to ten times" cost advantage over a standard infrastructure offering, said Goodarzi. "If you don't have the power of PC AI how do you do this?" he asked. "You would need significantly more computing power. You need a lot more data. You need a lot more networking." In fact, Goodarzi said HPE Private Cloud AI allows Deloitte customers to get much more rapid time to results. "Day one you can actually get results out of (HPE) PC (Private Cloud) AI once it is connected to your system," he said. "Obviously there's a short deployment cycle to get PC AI connected to your data and integrated with your security...Once it is connected it starts consuming the data and starts understanding the data and generating results instantly. No other system can do that!" HPE Senior Vice President of GreenLake Flex Solutions and Common Services Cheri Williams said the Deloitte C Suite AI was enabled in less than three days. Furthermore, Williams said Deloitte has just added two additional use cases on PC AI. "The ability for Deloitte to enable these use cases on PC AI at such a rapid speed means that they are then able to turn and offer the same or even faster deployment of AI use cases to their customers," she said. "One of the challenges customers are facing is actually enabling their GenAI use cases and they are turning to partners like Deloitte to help them figure out how to enable those use cases," said Williams. The partnership with Deloitte will ultimately allow HPE to reach and "empower" a lot more customers with GenAI-based services, said Williams. Goodarzi predicted that 2025 will be a pivotal year for customers to get their enterprise data in order to build GenAI based agents. "Customers need to think about enterprise data strategies and platforms and how they can prepare themselves for the arrival of silicon and infrastructure that can give them a significant boost," he said. Goodarzi stressed that talented employees will remain at the center of the new wave of GenAI agent applications offerings. "Humans are at the center of this and will be at the center of this forever," he said. "So therefore get your data right. Get your talent right. Get your risk and regulatory expectations right. Invest in (HPE) PC AI and other infrastructure. By then you are able to ready to actually activate all these agents and other innovations and unleash them on your business to accelerate and actually be a disruptor in your industry."
