Genpact unveils agentic solutions for domain-specific AI, starting with accounts payable
Technology services and solutions company Genpact on Wednesday said it has launched agentic solutions in a bid to move beyond generic AI models to domain-specific autonomous agent-led delivery. "Genpact's service-as-agentic-solutions will accelerate innovation for enterprises by fundamentally changing the way services are delivered, enabling business operations to evolve from traditional, linear models to autonomous agent-led delivery," the company said in a statement. The first of these solutions being rolled out is for accounts payable, leveraging data and insights to enable faster invoice extraction with higher precision, it added. This seeks to address the pressures CFOs face to evolve the way their teams work. The statement said agentic solutions are trained with an industry-specific semantic layer that allows agents to learn, adapt and make autonomous decisions based on real-world feedback. "The rapid evolution of intelligence is reshaping the future of work. Businesses are looking to effectively embed AI at scale," said Balkrishan Kalra, president and chief executive officer, Genpact. "The key unlock is mass personalisation and precision supported by strong governance of autonomous agent-led delivery." This approach will help businesses move beyond standardised processes to hyper-personalised, AI-driven service delivery while industry-specific knowledge embedded in the AI agents will make them self-improving, driving accuracy, adaptability and deeper insights, the company said. Modular design flexibility, scalability and efficiency are key features, it added. "As businesses delegate more tasks to AI, observability, security and control become critical," the company noted. To address this, guardrails and human oversight to monitor AI actions, prevent errors and maintain compliance are integrated, it said. Genpact last week also launched its AI 'gigafactory', an accelerator programme to help enterprises scale AI rollouts from pilots to production with on-demand talent, a data marketplace and pre-built generative AI models.
