Get a free Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL when you trade-in any phone at AT&T
Get more in-depth Made by Google coverage from ZDNET: Add us as a preferred Google source on Chrome and Chromium browsers. Google has officially revealed its latest smartphone series, the Pixel 10, and to coincide with the upcoming releases, AT&T is rolling out three new deals. First, you can get either the Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL completely for free with an eligible trade-in. According to AT&T, this offer is only valid with "eligible [smartphones] that [have] a minimum trade-in value of $35." Additionally, "Pixel smartphones from any year will be accepted in any condition." Also: Everything announced at Made by Google Second, if you do take either the Pixel 10 Pro or 10 Pro XL offer, you'll also have the opportunity to buy a 128GB Pixel 10 for just $7.99 a month, with no trade-in required. That $8 monthly plan will run for the next 36 months. Finally, if you buy a Pixel 10 series smartphone, you'll receive a free Pixel Watch 3 and 50% off select Google Pixel accessories, which include Pixel buds, screen protectors, phone cases, a power charger, and a wireless charging stand. An AT&T representative told me that the cases, charger, and charging stand all support the new PixelSnap feature. Also: PixelSnap is the MagSafe for Android phones we've been waiting for - here's our first look PixelSnap is essentially MagSafe charging for Android. It provides fast, Qi2-compatible wireless charging via a magnetic charger that goes on the back of the phone. The accessory offer does have a few restrictions. For example, you can only get one accessory per eligible device purchase, with a limit of four. Google's Pixel 10 series incrementally upgrades the previous generation, improving the smartphone in key areas. The base Pixel 10 model gets a triple camera system, with a 5x telephoto lens as the new third option. Every device houses new AI features, like Camera Coach, which provides photography tips in real time. There's also Magic Cure, a more proactive digital assistant that surfaces information and files before you begin searching, be it flight details or pictures of your dog. Also: Wish you could take better pics? Camera Coach on the Pixel 10 can help - here's how The Pixel 10 line shares various similarities with the Pixel 9 -- mostly its durable form factor. They sport the same Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen to protect the display against damage and boast an IP68 resistance rating. This means the phones are totally protected against dust and can survive submersion underwater. On the software side, Google's Pixel 10 phones will receive seven years of Pixel Drops, OS, and security updates, ensuring the device stays secure against malware. More Google Pixel phone deals: Best Buy | Verizon | T-Mobile | Best Pixel 10 phone cases As per ZDNET's rating system, this deal gets a perfect score of 5/5. You're getting two of Google's latest smartphones completely for free (so long as you qualify). On top of that, you can also get a third Pixel 10 phone at a massively reduced price, a free smartwatch, and 50% off accessories. You can't get any better than that.

Where to pre-order Google's Pixel 10 series to get the best deal, trade-in value
The Pixel 10 series is officially here, and while they might appear pretty similar to last year's models, looks can be deceiving. From a more powerful, more efficient Tensor G5 chipset to a 5x telephoto on the base model -- not to mention Pixelsnap and all of the AI skills you can handle -- this is a much larger launch than first impressions might imply. If you're looking to pre-order one of Google's new smartphones, there are plenty of places to score a deal, either through retailers or through your carrier. Google If you're looking to trade in your old device, Google is probably going to deliver the best rates you'll find outside of some very specific carrier deals. Last year's Pixel 9 Pro XL, for example, will save you $600 on its successor, cutting that $1,200 price tag in half. Don't go in expecting you'll need one of Google's most recent Pixels to save cash, though. In some ways, the best bargains are actually found on older devices. $500 for the Pixel 8 Pro and $425 for the Pixel 7 Pro are pretty excellent deals, for example, specifically when you factor in 2-3 years of use. Here's a round-up of what trading in a Tensor-powered Pixel can save you. Values appear the same regardless of which device you're buying, as well as the storage allotment in the phone you're trading in. Non-Tensor Pixels can also be traded in, dating back to the very first Pixel from 2016, which nets you $110 in value. Not bad for a 9-year-old phone! Google also accepts trade-ins from Apple, Samsung, as well as older OnePlus devices and a single Motorola phone. Largely speaking, these devices don't deliver quite the same value. Here's a small sampling; visit Google's online store to view the entire list. Google is also giving store credit to anyone who purchases unlocked Pixel 10 series devices through Sept. 4th. While you can't use that credit on your Pixel upfront, you'll be able to spend it on accessories and other future purchases. Best Buy I've always been a big fan of pre-ordering smartphones through Best Buy, since in-store pickup eliminates that dreaded "where's my delivery?" feeling that inevitably arrives on launch day. Shoppers can save up to $760 when buying the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, or up to $600 on the non-foldable Pixel 10 trio, with a qualifying trade-in. Best Buy will also give you an e-gift card after you cash out, with the value depending on which device you pick: There's no trade-in required to get those gift cards -- they come with every Pixel 10 pre-order. Amazon As usual, Amazon doesn't do trade-ins for smartphone launches, but you can still pick up any of the three non-foldable devices from here. That's particularly useful if you have a pile of Amazon gift cards burning a hole in your pocket, but don't expect to save any serious cash here until the holidays. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold isn't on Amazon yet, but you can still pick up its predecessor for $1,099 if you're looking to save some cash. Verizon Outside of Google, carriers are probably going to be your best bet for saving some cash on the Pixel 10 series. Verizon is offering the Pixel 10 Pro for free or $1,000 off the Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pro Fold when trading in a qualifying Google, Apple, Motorola, or Samsung device. Unfortunately, you'll need to be on an Unlimited Ultimate line for any of these deals, Verizon's most expensive plan currently offered. Verizon customers can also score six months of Google's AI Pro plan for free when purchasing any Pixel 10 device on an Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus line. After that initial period, you can keep your plan around for $10 per month rather than $20. Verizon is also the only network carrying the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at launch, if you're into that sort of thing. AT&T AT&T customers can pick up a Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL for free with a trade-in of any Pixel in any condition, provided they're on an eligible plan -- the company's Value and prepaid offerings are not eligible, and the fine print specifically calls out plans starting at $76/month before discounts. If you're on an Unlimited plan, you'll probably be set. AT&T is also offering the regular Pixel 10 for $8 per month on any Unlimited plan, no trade-in required. The carrier is also offering 50% off Pixel accessories when purchasing your phone, a perfectly enticing offer if you're really feeling Pixelsnap. T-Mobile T-Mobile customers can get a free Pixel 10 Pro or $1,000 off a Pixel 10 Pro XL when trading in an "eligible" device on its Experience Beyond plan. The regular Pixel 10 is available for free when adding a line or trading in an eligible device on "most" plans, which includes Essentials. T-Mobile also now owns UScellular stores, where new and existing subscribers can save $300 on the Pixel 10 or $450 on the Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL. Xfinity Mobile If you've swapped to Xfinity Mobile, you can save up to $1,000 off the Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pro Fold with an "eligible" trade-in, or $400 off any Pixel 10 without one. That's one of the rare Pixel 10 Pro Fold deals this time around, as well as a pretty solid price for anyone who doesn't have an older device for exchange.

Not a typo! You can get the Pixel 10 Pro for free with Verizon -- here's how
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are here and, amid all the new features and upgrades, Google has managed to keep the pricing consistent with last year. That means the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro start at $799 and $999, respectively. While the base Pixel 10 Pro XL has been bumped to $1099, you get double the amount of storage (256GB) this year. But here's the thing: there's a way you can get Google's brand spanking new phone for free with Verizon if you've got an eligible phone to trade in. My colleague Louis Ramierez wrote about this deal in his Pixel 10 pre-order round-up, but it's so good I'm mentioning it again here. To activate the deal, you're going to need to sign up with Verizon for three years. You get a monthly credit that will, after 36 months, have paid off the phone. If you simply want the Pixel 10, that's all you need. But if you're eyeing up the Pro or the Pro XL, you'll need to trade in an eligible phone as well. Verizon will accept any older Pixel phone as well as any Apple, Motorola or Samsung devices -- regardless of the age or condition. So if you've got an older handset collecting dust in a drawer, this is a great way to put it to good use. The one thing to be aware of is that to action this deal, you're going to need to sign up for a Verizon Unlimited Ultimate plan. At $55 per month, that's one of the network's most expensive options. Are Google's new handsets worth it? Well, we haven't given them the full TG review treatment yet, but the early signs are that Google has served up a very tempting upgrade. In our Pixel 10 hands-on review, my colleague John Velasco commented that the Pixel 10 is "without question the biggest upgrade in the series in recent memory, which I think lessens the gap between it and the more expensive Pixel 10 Pro." That doesn't mean the Pixel 10 Pro isn't worth your time, though. The handset is supercharged with AI assistance that has every other phone playing catch-up in this regard. And the ability to get either one of these handsets for free is a deal worth looking into if you're considering an upgrade.

Each device in the Pixel 10 range is powered by the new Tensor G5 chipset, which is said to be 34% faster on average than its predecessor, and up to 60% more powerful when it comes to machine learning workloads. Google Pixel 10 preorders are live - I've found all the best deals, including free phones and huge trade-in discounts
Google has unveiled its latest lineup of Pixel phones in the recent Made By Google 2025 event, with four new handsets set to debut in the coming weeks. If you've got your eye on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pixel 10 Pro Fold, then I've gathered up all of the best preorder deals right here. As I've come to expect from new phone launches, the best deals I've seen so far involve trading in your existing device to get a big discount. The amount you save varies depending on the device you hand over, but at some carriers and networks, it allows you to pick up a new Pixel 10 for free. Let's take T-Mobile in the US, for example, where you can get a trade-in rebate of up to $800, effectively dropping the price of the standard Pixel 10 to nothing when you also sign up for a new plan. Meanwhile, in the UK, the official Google Store is offering a bonus of £250 when you trade in a handset, meaning you can get up to £770 off the Pixel 10 Pro. For more info on these brand new handsets before you lay down a preorder, be sure to have a read of our impressions of the Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, after our phone experts had some early hands-on time. I'll be keeping an eye on retailers, carriers and networks over the coming days for even more of the best Google Pixel 10 preorder deals, so stay tuned for updates. Four new phones are part of the new lineup, including the standard Google Pixel 10, the larger Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, and the premium foldable, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. But what are the new worthwhile features, and what are the key differences between all of these handsets? Here's a quick breakdown. Let's start with the Tensor G5 chipset that powers the entire range of new Pixel 10 phones. This is a direct upgrade to the previous G4 chip, boasting a 34% faster CPU and a 60% more powerful TPU. In basic terms, that means faster overall performance, a more efficient battery and speedier processing - especially when it comes to AI features. Google phones have always been good for photos, too, and that theme continues with the Pixel 10 range. There's a dedicated telephoto camera, which is best on the Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL with its 48MP telephoto sensor that offers up to 100x digital zoom. You also get a Camera Coach feature, which uses AI to offer suggestions for shot composition and shooting modes to help you take better photos. For snaps you've already taken, there's the Edit with Ask Photos feature, which will suggest tweaks to the lightning, sharpness and more to refine your pics even further. One of the most exciting features, though, is Pixelsnap: a built-in, magnetic Qi2 wireless charging technology for the entire Pixel 10 line. This is similar to Apple's MagSafe technology, which means you can snap wireless chargers, stands, grips, and other accessories to the phone and take advantage of 25W wireless charging. It's a convenient addition, so you no longer need magnetic rings or bulky magnetic cases. Altogether, there are some impressive upgrades across the new Pixel 10 lineup. Combined with one of these preorder deals, you could come away with an awesome new phone at a great price, too.

Here's how to get a free Google Pixel 10 Pro from Verizon
SAVE $999: Verizon is offering a free Google Pixel 10 Pro to all new and existing customers with an Unlimited Ultimate plan when trading in a Google, Apple, Motorola, or Samsung phone in any condition. The new Google Pixel 10 Pro is a great option if you're in need of a phone upgrade. For years now, Google's Pixel lineup has given us awesome Android options like the Google Pixel 9a, which landed itself on the Mashable list of the best phones of 2025. But if you're interested in the latest and greatest model, listen up, because you could be in line for a free phone. New and existing Verizon customers can snag a free Google Pixel 10 Pro with the carrier's Unlimited Ultimate plan when you trade in a Google, Apple, Motorola, or Samsung phone in any condition. Overall, that puts you in line to save $999 on the free Google Pixel 10 Pro. The Verizon Unlimited Ultimate plan comes with perks like access to 5G, unlimited mobile hotspot data, and unlimited international data should your travel plans take you abroad. The lineup of Google Pixel 10 devices is packed with AI upgrades like voice translation, AI camera features, and the Take a Message option, to name a few. The Google Pixel 10 Pro has some pretty nice specs like a 6.3-inch display with 1280x2856 resolution and 3,300 nits at peak brightness. Google mentions the 4,870mAh battery will be capable of at least 30 hours of life before it'll need to recharge. In terms of the Pixel 10 Pro's camera, Mashable Tech Reporter Alex Perry is optimistic. "The cameras this year haven't undergone huge (or any) changes in terms of megapixel counts, but one big thing Google did is increase Super Res Zoom capabilities from 30x all the way to 100x," wrote Perry in the Pixel 10 announcement recap. "We'll see how that works in practice, but given the excellent telephoto zoom quality on previous Pixel phones, this is potentially very exciting." If you're looking to snag a free Google Pixel 10 Pro, sign on with Verizon's Unlimited Ultimate plan, trade in your old phone, and you'll be on your way to Android bliss.

T-Mobile is basically giving away the Google Pixel 10 right now
For those after a shiny modern smartphone upgrade but dreading the four-figure price tag that usually comes with it, T-Mobile's latest Pixel promotion is about as good as it gets. The carrier is offering the freshly announced Google Pixel 10 completely free, or $800 off the Google Pixel 10 Pro, when you add a line on a qualifying plan. What makes this even better is that there's no trade-in required -- you just need to stick with T-Mobile and enrol in AutoPay. The savings are spread out as 24 monthly bill credits, so as long as you keep your account in good standing, you'll end up paying next to nothing for one of the most hyped smartphones of the year. The Pixel 10 is powered by Google's new Tensor G5 chip, designed to boost multitasking and battery efficiency. That translates to up to 30 hours of use on a single charge, which is a nice step up from last year's Pixel 9. You're also getting the built-in Gemini AI, which can handle tasks like text-to-speech, summarising info, and web searches natively on the device. Its 6.3-inch 1080p display is also sharp enough for everything from TikTok scrolling to Netflix binges. If you want the bells and whistles, the Pixel 10 Pro cranks things up with a 2856 x 1280 display, AI-assisted photo and video editing, and support for Pixelsnap wireless charging. Plus, with eSIM technology, you can juggle multiple phone numbers on one device. That makes it perfect if you need both a personal and a work line without carrying two phones. T-Mobile says you can snag up to four devices per family, making it a no-brainer if you're looking to upgrade everyone's phone at once before the school year kicks into gear. Just remember that you'll still owe taxes and fees upfront, and if you bail on your plan before the 24 months are up, you're on the hook for the remaining balance (which is up to $1,000). There's no firm end date for this promotion, which means it could vanish once preorder demand spikes or Google caps supply. If a free Pixel (or an $800 discount on the Pro) sounds tempting, lock it in. If you're still weighing up your options, take a browse of our list of the best smartphones of 2025 so far -- including the Google Pixel 9a, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and iPhone 16e. For anyone still looking to splash a bit less cash, we have a roundup of the five best budget smartphones in 2025 as well -- including the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and OnePlus 13R.

Massive Google Pixel 10 Pro launch deal is live - get up to £770 off with a trade-in
Google just unveiled the new Pixel 10 Pro at its Made By Google 2025 event - and the official Google Store has a massive introductory offer that means you can get up to £770 off the Pixel 10 Pro when you trade in an old phone. With its next-generation flagship features, Google fans will love the new Pixel 10 Pro. Not only does it close the gap to the iPhone, but it also delivers AI features that Apple has so far failed to deliver. I even expect it to convert many long-standing Apple fans - it looks that good. It's even more tempting when you consider the huge discount you can get with this trade-in deal. The amount you get does vary depending on the phone you hand over, with the full £770 coming from trading in an iPhone 16 Pro. However, a flat £250 bonus is added to any trade-in for a limited time, so you could get a significant boost on many other handsets. Do check Google's full list of eligible devices to see what yours is worth. It'll be some time before we know whether the Pixel 10 Pro will make its way onto our list of the best phones, but our early impressions are very positive. Hopefully, it will build on the success of the Pixel 9 Pro, which was our favourite phone of 2024. With Google's Tensor G5 chipset and 12GB of RAM, the Pixel 10 Pro is more than capable of on-device AI processing as well as anything else you could want to throw at it. A 48MP wide camera, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 10.8MP zoom serve up a fantastic array of image-capturing options. It's too early for a full-on review, but we've been hands-on with the Google Pixel 10 Pro. Our initial impressions are very positive indeed. We love the improved software alongside new hardware - all of which shows that Apple is at risk of falling behind. The design is almost identical to last year's Pixel 9 Pro, aside from some minor changes to the colour, materials, and finish. That's not a negative, though, as Google has absolutely nailed the aesthetic of its flagship phone.

Best Pixel 10 Carrier Deals: T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T & More
T-Mobile is leading with aggressive promos that make the Pixel 10 series highly accessible. Customers can get the Pixel 10 Pro for free or up to $1,000 off any Pixel 10 model with an eligible trade-in on Experience Beyond or Business plans. Even Essentials plan users can score the Pixel 10 for free or save $800 by adding a line or trading in. UScellular mirrors the same lineup with smaller but still solid discounts: $300 off the Pixel 10 and $450 off the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL. Beyond pricing, T-Mobile stands out with its exclusive T-Satellite support powered by Starlink. Pixel 10 devices on T-Mobile can use Google Maps, Messages, and Find Hub even without cell service, giving users peace of mind when off the grid. Verizon is matching T-Mobile's generosity with a Pixel 10 Pro free promotion or $1,000 off the Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pro Fold. These discounts only require a trade-in from Google, Apple, Samsung, or Motorola, and devices can be in any condition. Business customers also get access to a no-trade-in-needed Pixel 10 offer, plus heavily discounted Pixel Watch 4 bundles. On top of the hardware deals, Verizon adds a six-month subscription to Google AI Pro at no cost. After the trial, it renews at half price, making it one of the strongest combined hardware and software offers on the table. AT&T is keeping it simple with some of the best all-around offers. Customers who trade in any phone, regardless of age or condition, can walk away with a free Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL. For those without a trade-in, the base Pixel 10 drops to just $7.99 per month on a 36-month plan. Sweetening the deal, AT&T is also giving away a free Pixel Watch 3 with every Pixel 10 purchase, plus 50% off Pixel accessories like chargers and earbuds. It's the most accessory-friendly package out of all the carriers. Xfinity's deals depend heavily on trade-ins. Customers who hand over an eligible device can get the Pixel 10 or Pixel 10 Pro for free, or take $1,000 off the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Without a trade-in, buyers can still enjoy a flat $400 discount on any Pixel 10 model. For existing Comcast or business subscribers already on premium unlimited plans, this makes Xfinity one of the better value options if you don't mind sticking with their ecosystem. US Mobile is focusing on upfront discounts instead of bill credits. With an annual unlimited plan, customers can get the Pixel 10 for $499, the Pixel 10 Pro for $669, or the Pixel 10 Pro XL for $789. Without a plan, prices are only slightly higher, starting at $529 for the base model. The catch is that all devices must be activated on US Mobile within 15 days, and orders are capped at five per account. Still, for buyers who prefer simple, no-contract pricing, it's one of the most straightforward ways to get the Pixel 10 unlocked at a discount. Google's own Fi Wireless is offering heavy bill-credit incentives. Buyers get $300 instantly off the Pixel 10, with the rest of the cost covered by bill credits over 24 months. The same formula applies to the Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold, with a $300 upfront discount and $500 back in credits. Fi also throws in one year of Google AI Pro and 2TB of Google One storage for Pixel 10 Pro buyers, making it a strong choice for anyone already deep in Google's ecosystem. Boost Mobile is offering some of the most straightforward preorder pricing for the Pixel 10 series. Customers who sign up for the Unlimited Premium plan at $60 per month can grab the Pixel 10 for $299.99, the Pixel 10 Pro for $399.99, or the Pixel 10 Pro XL for $499.99. The best part is that these deals don't require a trade-in or long-term contract, making Boost a solid choice for budget-minded buyers who want an unlocked Pixel 10 with predictable monthly service.

At the heart of the Pixel 10 series is the new Tensor G5 chipset, which offers substantial improvements over its predecessor. The G5 boasts a 34% faster CPU and a 60% more powerful TPU, resulting in enhanced overall performance, improved battery efficiency, and faster processing, especially for AI-related tasks 5.
The Pixel 10 series leverages this increased power to introduce new AI features. One notable addition is Camera Coach, which uses AI to provide real-time photography tips and suggestions for shot composition 1. Another AI-powered feature, Edit with Ask Photos, offers intelligent suggestions for refining images after they've been taken 5.
Google continues to prioritize photography with the Pixel 10 series. The base Pixel 10 model now features a triple camera system, including a new 5x telephoto lens 1. The Pro and Pro XL models push this further with a 48MP telephoto sensor capable of up to 100x digital zoom 5.

One of the most exciting innovations in the Pixel 10 series is Pixelsnap, a built-in magnetic Qi2 wireless charging technology 15. Similar to Apple's MagSafe, Pixelsnap allows users to magnetically attach wireless chargers, stands, grips, and other accessories to the phone. This technology supports 25W wireless charging, offering both convenience and faster charging speeds 5.
The Pixel 10 starts at $799, while the Pixel 10 Pro is priced from $999. The Pixel 10 Pro XL sees a slight increase to $1,099 for the base model, but now includes 256GB of storage as standard. The premium Pixel 10 Pro Fold is set to retail at $2,699 34.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are scheduled for release on August 28, with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold following on October 9 4.

Major carriers and retailers are offering attractive deals for pre-orders. Verizon, for instance, is offering the Pixel 10 Pro for free or $1,000 off the Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pro Fold with eligible trade-ins 23. AT&T is providing a free Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL with any Pixel trade-in, regardless of condition 1.
Google's own trade-in program offers up to $600 for last year's Pixel 9 Pro XL, with generous values even for older models 2. Best Buy is offering gift cards of up to $200 with pre-orders, depending on the model 2.
Google has committed to providing seven years of Pixel Drops, OS, and security updates for the Pixel 10 series, ensuring long-term value and security for users 1.
The Pixel 10 series represents a significant step forward for Google's smartphone lineup, with its focus on AI capabilities, improved performance, and innovative features like Pixelsnap. As the devices hit the market, it will be interesting to see how they compete with offerings from other major smartphone manufacturers.
