HONOR has expanded its MagicBook line-up with the launch of the MagicBook Art 14 2024 in China, alongside the Magic V3 and Vs3 foldable smartphones. The MagicBook Art 14 2024, made with aerospace-grade materials, weighs 1.03kg and is 12.95mm thick. It features an Excimer UV-cured skin-friendly coating and an ultra-fine velvet texture. The laptop has a 14.6-inch 3.1K OLED touch display with a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display includes HDR peak brightness of 700 nits, 4320Hz PWM dimming technology to reduce screen flicker and eye strain, Honor Oasis Eye Protection Screen, E-Book mode, and supports ten-point precise touch with various gestures. The laptop runs on an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Core Ultra 7 155H processor with Intel Arc graphics, a 1TB SSD, and supports LPDDR5X RAM. It has six speakers with spatial audio and DTS support, and a 60Wh battery that charges fully in 95 minutes and reaches 46% in 30 minutes. The cooling system uses an ultra-thin VC module with high-performance fan blades to minimize noise. The 120cm² multi-touch trackpad supports features like screenshots, screen recording, window minimization, and sidebar invocation. The detachable webcam can be placed next to the two USB-C ports or at the top center of the screen. HONOR just introduced its latest foldable devices, the HONOR Magic V3 and HONOR Magic Vs3, in China today, as promised. The Magic V3 measures 9.2mm thick for the vegan leather version and 9.3mm for the glass model, with a weight of 226 grams (230 grams for glass). When unfolded, it is 156.6 x 145.3 x 4.35-4.4mm and folds to 156.6 x 74 x 9.2-9.3mm. Its hinge is 2.84mm thick and can withstand up to 500,000 folds. The device features a 7-series aluminum alloy frame, an IPX8 rating for water resistance, and is usable with wet hands. The device has a 7.92-inch main display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The cover display, also with 120Hz adaptive refresh, measures 6.43 inches. Both displays offer a peak brightness of 5,000 nits for HDR content, support 1.07 billion colors, Dolby Vision, and have a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits. They are compatible with a stylus and include Rhino Glass, AI defocus eye protection, and TÜV Rheinland certification, along with 4,320Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the phone features HONOR's RF enhancement chip C1+, an independent secure storage chip, and the HONOR Cicada Wing Pure Titanium Cooling VC for thermal management. Its inner screen is 7.92 inches with a 2344×2156 resolution and 1600 nits brightness, while the cover screen is 6.43 inches with a 1060×2376 resolution and 2500 nits brightness. Both screens support Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, 1.07 billion colors, stylus support, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and eye protection with AI defocus and TÜV Rheinland certification. The Magic Vs3 uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with the RF enhancement chip C1+ and an independent secure storage chip. Its 5,000mAh battery supports the same charging speeds as the Magic V3. Its camera system includes a 50MP main camera (f/1.9, OIS), a 40MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2, 112° FoV), and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens (f/3.4, OIS) with 5x optical zoom. Selfies are handled by two 16MP cameras, one on each display, with 90° wide-angle support and 4K video recording. Both devices have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, support dual-satellite communication (Magic V3), dual SIM capability, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1), stereo speakers, an IR sensor, and NFC. They run on MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14, offering features like Any Door, smart capsule, AI connectivity, Parallel Space for dual SIM card use, and more. While all other specs remain the same, the Magic Vs3 doesn't support satellite communication and doesn't have an IPX8 rating.
