IBM to Set Up Software Lab in Lucknow Focusing on Agentic AI

The upcoming lab will develop AI solutions using LLMs to meet evolving business needs both domestically and internationally. IBM has announced plans to open a new Software Lab in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, aimed at accelerating innovation in generative AI and agentic AI. The facility will be located at Platinum Mall in Sushant Golf City and is part of IBM's broader expansion efforts in India. The upcoming lab will develop AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs) to meet evolving business needs both domestically and internationally. IBM India Software Labs, among the company's largest software development centres globally, will leverage this new facility to enhance solutions in data and AI, automation, cybersecurity, and sustainability. The lab will adopt global best practices in software engineering, design, and development to create cutting-edge technologies. "The new Software Lab in Lucknow will play a pivotal role in the state's economic growth through job creation and the engagement of local talent. It will accelerate AI-driven innovation and use cases that enhance productivity, efficiency and improve citizen services.
