Nebius: A 10x AI Growth Story Still Flying Under Wall Street's Radar (NASDAQ:NBIS)
Despite execution risks and possible backloaded AAR growth, the projected growth justifies the 11 P/S ratio. I maintain my strong buy rating. As a European AI infrastructure company, Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ:NBIS) is attracting more interest from US investors, particularly after the economic uncertainty brought by the new administration. Since my last article on Nebius, shares are Small deep value individual investor, with a modest private investment portfolio, split approx. 50%-50% between shares and call options. I have a B.Sc. in aeronautical engineering and over 6 years of experience as an engineering consultant in the aerospace sector. The latter statement is not relevant in any way whatsoever to my investment style, but I thought to add it for self-indulgent purposes. I have a contrarian investment style, highly risky, and often dealing with illiquid options. How illiquid? Well, you can land a Jumbo on the spread and still have clearance for take-off. From time to time, I buy shares, mostly to not be categorized as a degen by my fellow investor friends, therefore the 50%-50% allocation. My timeframe tends to be between 3-24 months.I like stocks that have experienced a recent sell-off due to non-recurrent events, particularly when insiders are buying shares at the new lower price. This is how I often screen through thousands of stocks, mainly in the US, although I may own shares in banana republics. I use fundamental analysis to check the health of companies that pass through my screening process, their leverage, and then compare their financial ratios with the sector, and industry median and average. I also do professional background checks of each insider who purchased shares after the recent sell-off. I use technical analysis to optimize the entry and exit points of my positions. I mainly use multicolor lines for support and resistance levels on weekly charts. From time to time I draw trend lines, taken for granted, in multicolor patterns. Note: I tried to keep my introduction as real, and authentic as possible. I dislike empty suits, high-level BS, deep-level BS, unnecessary jargon, and self-indulgent, third-person written introductions with an air of superiority. Thanks for reading my introduction! Nebius Group announces major AI infrastructure expansion plans, including early adoption of NVIDIA's Blackwell Ultra platform and new data center construction, driving stock price gains and attracting investor attention.
Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ: NBIS), a European AI infrastructure company, has made significant announcements that have caught the attention of investors and industry analysts. The company's stock has seen a notable increase in trading activity following these developments 12.
Nebius has revealed its position as an early adopter cloud provider for NVIDIA's advanced Blackwell Ultra platform. This partnership will allow Nebius to offer its customers access to NVIDIA GB300 NVL72-powered instances, significantly enhancing its AI capabilities 1.
By the end of 2025, Nebius plans to provide accelerated computing through 72 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, a move that promises to unlock powerful on-demand AI capabilities for enterprises and AI developers 1.
The company has confirmed the general availability of NVIDIA Blackwell GPU capacity at its U.S. data centers starting in the second quarter of 2025. This development is expected to provide AI builders with access to world-class infrastructure for developing next-generation AI models 1.
Nebius is also constructing a new data center in New Jersey with a planned capacity of up to 300 MW. The facility is designed to Nebius's specifications, aiming to achieve maximum efficiency and offer superior performance to customers. The first phase of this data center is expected to be completed as early as summer 2025 1.
The stock market has responded positively to these announcements, with Nebius Group shares trading higher in the premarket session. The stock has gained over 28% in the past year, indicating growing investor confidence in the company's potential 12.
Options trading activity for Nebius Group has also seen a significant uptick, with both bullish and bearish positions being taken by investors. This increased activity suggests that market participants are closely watching the company's developments and adjusting their positions accordingly 23.
Some analysts view Nebius as a high-conviction play in the AI infrastructure space. With a market capitalization of $7 billion compared to competitor CoreWeave's $23 billion, some believe that NBIS stock has the potential to double or triple if the company successfully scales in the AI cloud race 4.
However, it's important to note that while the projected growth may justify the current valuation, there are execution risks and the possibility of backloaded Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth 5.
Nebius Group's recent announcements and partnerships have positioned it as a significant player in the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure market. As the company continues to expand its capabilities and data center presence, investors and industry watchers will be keenly observing its ability to execute on these ambitious plans and compete in the growing AI cloud sector.
