How to Use LimeWire Key Takeaways LimeWire has evolved from a file-sharing service to an AI image and audio generator tool. LimeWire offers free and paid plans with varying image and audio track allowances. LimeWire's AI tool is slower than ChatGPT, but free credits allow users to experiment with image and audio creation.
With the modern prominence of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, it's easy to forget about LimeWire. This P2P tool used to let you download any track that you wanted, and it's now back... as an AI image generator.
What Does LimeWire Look Like Now?
These days, LimeWire looks very similar to other AI image-generation tools like Adobe Firefly. The tool lets you enter text prompts to create images and audio, with a couple of example prompts included on the page for inspiration.
When using LimeWire, you can also use an assistant to get information and create various types of content. Many of the things you can do with ChatGPT can, as a result, also be performed in LimeWire.
Besides becoming an AI generation tool, LimeWire also made a return as an NFT marketplace in 2022.
LimeWire Pricing
At a base level, LimeWire is free to use. With a free plan, you can make up to 20 daily images and four audio tracks. Paid plans give you bigger allowances that range from 2,000 to 22,500 images per month and 400 to 4,500 new audio tracks monthly. You also get access to all AI models.

How to Use LimeWire
Now that you know that LimeWire is no longer a file-sharing tool, let's look at how to use the new and improved version.
1. LimeWire Image Generation
To use LimeWire's image generation feature, follow these steps.
On the homepage, select Image. Type your prompt in the text box and press Enter on your keyboard or the send button. If you want to try different generative models, choose your model on the right-hand side. Customize the negative prompts, dimensions, and image quality. If you want to make adjustments beyond the original, you must spend credits; you get a free amount each day.
One thing I noticed when using LimeWire's generative AI is that it typically takes much longer than ChatGPT to produce results. So, you should keep this in mind.
2. LimeWire Audio
To create audio in LimeWire, follow these steps instead.
Select the Audio tab on the homepage. Enter the prompt for your music. In this case, I wanted an upbeat classical track. Hit the Enter key or press the Send button. Choose your song duration. You can choose up to 45 seconds, depending on your credits. Select Generate. 3. LimeWire Assistant
Here's how to use LimeWire's AI assistant:
Select Assistant on the homepage. Enter your prompt. In this instance, I wanted to see if LimeWire could help me create a routine to prepare for a 10km run. Wait for LimeWire to generate the prompt. I had to try twice here because the software crashed. If needed, change your prompt. My second attempt was much better than the first in getting the information I wanted.
When I adjusted my prompts with the assistant, I had to pay with credits for additional edits. So, you should keep this in mind and use your prompts wisely.
LimeWire's AI tool is an interesting shift from the file-sharing service it once was. It still needs some work, in my opinion; ChatGPT is faster and provides me with better advice with the same prompts. Nonetheless, I recommend experimenting with your free credits and seeing what you can create.
