Acer Introduces Swift 14 AI & Swift 16 AI Laptops Powered By Lunar Lake CPUs, Starting at $1199

Acer Swift 14 & 16 AI laptops will be available with various Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V CPUs, up to the Core Ultra 9 288V & starting at $1199. The new Acer Swift AI laptops are lightweight & Copilot+ certified AI PCs with different screen sizes, powered by Core Ultra 200V "Lunar Lake" Acer has released several new products at the IFA 2024 and one of its newest additions is the new Swift AI lineup, which includes the Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI laptops. The Swift AI laptops will bring the power of Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V CPUs to enhance the AI performance drastically all the while remaining thin, ultra-sleek, and lightweight for easy portability. The Acer Swift 14/16 AI laptops are equipped with powerful mid-range and high-end Core Ultra 5, Ultra 7, and Ultra 9 200V processors that deliver up to 48 TOPS of NPU AI performance to carry out intensive AI workloads. Apart from delivering incredible AI performance, they also boast longer battery life compared to their predecessors. Moreover, they also come with advanced security features such as biometric security and several layers of protection at both hardware and software levels. Both laptops feature a premium design with an aluminum enclosure and a touchpad that illuminates with an AI Activity Indicator when the NPU is carrying out operations or the Copilot is activated. Users can also lay the laptops completely flat via the 180-degree hinge, ensuring it's easier to share the work with colleagues. The laptops feature 90Hz OLED displays with HDR500 certification for high-quality visuals and come with either 2K or 3K resolutions based on the laptop size. The Acer Swift 14 AI will be available in either resolution along with IPS touch while the Acer Swift 16 AI will only offer a 3K OLED display on a 16-inch screen size. Specs-wise, the Acer Swift 16 AI will be available with five different Intel Lunar Lake CPUs: Ultra 5 226V, Ultra 5 228V, Ultra 7 256V, Ultra 7 258V, and Ultra 9 288V. The Swift 14 AI will be limited to four of these excluding the Ultra 9 288V and will be available with up to 1TB of storage. The RAM capacity can go up to 32GB LPDDR5X for both but the Swift 16 AI can have up to twice the storage of the Swift 14 AI. The Acer Swift 14 AI will launch at a starting price of US$1,199.99 in September in various regions, including North America, EMEA(EUR 1,199), and Australia(AUD 1,899). The Swift 16 AI will launch later in October starting at US$1,199.99 in North America, EUR 1,299 in EMEA in December, and AUD 1,999 in Australia in Q1 2025.
