Apple unveils its Series 10 watch
Apple is unveiling its new iPhone 16 on Monday replete with artificial intelligence-driven features as the company introduces the buzzy technology into its signature smartphone. The Cupertino, California-based company is also releasing fresh versions of its Apple Watch and Apple AirPods. The announcements arrive months after Apple raised the curtain on an AI-fueled operating system to be used across many of its products. The generative AI capability, called Apple Intelligence, will allow users to summarize messages and enhance photos, among other features, the company said. The product rollout on Monday marks the first time consumers get a look at exactly how the firm is incorporating AI into some of its top items, analysts told ABC News. "There is still a large question mark around AI of, 'Should I care?'" Ben Bajarin, an analyst at research firm Creative Strategies, told ABC News. "That's the question that the industry has to address." For Apple, Bajarin added, the latest round of product updates are a "big deal." Here are the new products released by Apple on Monday: Nearly 10 years after Apple announced the debut of its Apple Watch, the company released its Series 10 model, featuring a wider display, brighter screen and new processor. The display screen on the Series 10 is as much as 30% larger than previous models of the Apple Watch, the company said. The larger display eases typing and reading on the product, Apple said. Meanwhile, the screen is nearly 40% brighter than previous models. The display updates once per second in always-on mode instead of once per minute. The updates are powered by a new chip: the S10 SiP. The improved processing enables better crash and fall detection, among other benefits, the company said. The Series 10 Apple Watch starts at $399. It can be preordered today and will be available beginning on Sept. 20, the company said. The company also released a new model of its high-powered Apple Watch Ultra. The Apple Watch Ultra II starts at $799. It can also be preordered today and will be available on Sept. 20. The company released AirPods 4, the latest model of its ear-bud headphones. The new product features the capacity for noise cancellation, as well as an upgraded processor and improved surround sound, the company said. AirPods 4 allows users to nod their head "yes" or "no" in response to prompts from Siri, Apple said. Meanwhile, the product uses what Apple calls "noise isolation" in order to automatically remove background noise during a phone conversation. When a user begins a conversation with someone in his or her immediate environment, AirPods 4 automatically turns down music or other media perviously playing through the ear buds, the company said. A new h2 chip fuels the new features, Apple said. AirPods 4 begin at $129. A version of the ear buds that includes noise cancellation will cost $179. The product is available for pre-order and will go on sale on Sept. 20, the company said. An enhanced version of the product, AirPods 4 Max, will begin at $249.

Apple Watch gets AI push as tech giant unveils new models (NASDAQ:AAPL)
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) took the wraps off new versions of its Apple Watch and AirPods product lines on Monday. "Apple Watch has deeply impacted the lives of millions of people around the world," Chief Executive Tim Cook said in a presentation, adding that he receives messages every day from Apple Watch consumers on how it's changed their lives. The Apple Watch Series 10 has a new design, including a larger display than Apple Watch Ultra and 30% more screen area than previous generations, Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams said. Under the front crystal is a wide angle OLED display, used to display more colors and make it brighter when viewed at an angle or a quick glance. The Series 10 comes in several colors, including jet black, rose gold and silver aluminum. It's also 9.7 millimeters, or roughly 10% thinner than the Series 9, Williams added. Music and podcasts can also be played directly through the Watch, alleviating the need for headphones, Williams explained. It starts at $399 and is available on September 20. The new material also allows for a faster charging experience, giving users an 80% charge in just 30 minutes, Williams said. The watch also comes with a custom S10 chip, which has a four-core neutral engine and aids Siri, automatic workout detection, crash and fall detection, and improved phone calls, to suppress background noise. Artificial intelligence is also being infused on WatchOS, with tasks such as widgets automatically showing up when a user needs them, Williams explained. The Apple Watch Series 10 can also detect sleep apnea, Apple vice president of health Dr. Sumbul Desai said. New watch bands were also introduced at the event, including those from Nike and Hermes.

Apple Unveils New Watches as Tech Waits for New iPhones
A decade after introducing its first smartwatch, Apple is making the Apple Watch thinner and packing it with more health features, as it looks to drive a new wave of sales for the world's most popular timepiece. On Monday, the company unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, which has rounder corners and a larger, brighter display that comes in a 10 percent thinner design. It can also alert people about whether their breathing has stopped overnight, so that they can speak with their doctor about the issue. It is the most significant change to the original watch since its introduction. Though the Apple Watch was initially slow to win over customers, the device has become popular enough to make Apple the world's biggest watchmaker. Its timepieces have become a reliable contributor to the company's overall business, and combined with its wireless AirPods earbuds account for about a tenth of its annual sales. In addition to announcing those changes to the Apple Watch Series 10, the company said that the Apple Watch Ultra, a larger watch designed for athletes and adventure sports enthusiasts, will include a new black finish. The Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399, while the Ultra starts at $799. The new Apple Watches, which were unveiled in a prerecorded video at the company's futuristic Silicon Valley campus, opened an event that is expected to culminate with the introduction of the company's first artificially intelligent iPhone. The new phones arrive at a pivotal time for Apple and the broader tech industry. Apple's business has sputtered in recent years as iPhone users have held onto their phones for longer. It has made a major bet by realigning its engineering teams to work on artificial intelligence in hopes that the technology, which can answer questions, create images and write software code, will persuade people to buy new devices.

Apple's latest smartwatch, the Watch Series 10, introduces groundbreaking AI capabilities and health features. The new device marks a significant leap in wearable technology, blending artificial intelligence with personal health monitoring.
Apple has once again pushed the boundaries of wearable technology with the introduction of its Watch Series 10. The new smartwatch, unveiled at the company's annual September event, showcases a range of advanced features powered by artificial intelligence (AI) 1.
The Watch Series 10 represents Apple's most significant push into AI for its wearable devices to date. This AI integration allows for more personalized health insights, improved voice recognition, and predictive features that anticipate user needs throughout the day.
Building on its reputation as a health-focused device, the Series 10 introduces several new health monitoring features. The watch now includes an advanced sleep tracking system that uses AI to provide detailed analysis of sleep patterns and quality. Additionally, a new stress management feature utilizes heart rate variability and other biometric data to offer real-time stress level assessments and guided breathing exercises 3.

The new Always-On Retina display features improved visibility in bright sunlight and a more responsive touch interface. Apple has also introduced new watch faces that take advantage of the AI capabilities, offering dynamic information based on user behavior and preferences 1.
Addressing a common concern among smartwatch users, Apple has made significant strides in battery life. The Series 10 offers up to 24 hours of use on a single charge, with a new low-power mode extending that to 36 hours. The device also supports faster charging, reaching a full charge in just 45 minutes 2.
In line with Apple's commitment to environmental sustainability, the Watch Series 10 is made with 100% recycled aluminum and uses more recycled components than any previous model. The company has also pledged to make its entire supply chain carbon neutral by 2030 3.
