Google confirmed via the Gemini Twitter account that it's offering 50% off the Google AI Pro annual plan. The Google AI Pro plan offers Nano Banana Pro, the Deep Research tool, the more advanced Gemini 3 Pro plan, and 2TB of cloud storage. Other benefits include higher usage limits in services like NotebookLM and Jules, access to the Flow tool, and AI-powered calling for local businesses in the US. Not seeing this promotion in your market? That might be because the offer only applies to new subscribers. In fact, a Google employee clarified that existing Google One subscribers can't take advantage of this deal, either. The employee noted in other tweets that this promotion was available in regions like Chile, the EU, and the UK. It's unclear when the deal expires, but the deal URL and tweet suggest that it'll be available until December 31. So you likely still have some time if you're considering a purchase.

While Gemini's X post only mentions a discount on the AI Pro plan, you can get a similar discount on almost all Google One plans, with only one exception. The Basic plan, which will expand your Google account storage by 100GB, is discounted to only $10 for the whole year. That's over 50% off its annual subscription of $20. Similarly, the Premium plan with 2TB storage is available for only $50 -- down from its yearly price of $100. Both plans do not provide higher limits for using Gemini 3 Pro or more AI credits. Instead, they will only increase your Google account storage, which you can share with up to five other family members. The Google AI Pro (2TB) plan is currently discounted to $100 for a full year, a $100 reduction from its regular price. The subscription includes priority access to the latest Gemini model, higher rate limits for Gemini and Nano Banana Pro, additional features and filters in Google Photos, access to Whisk with Veo 3, and Google Home Premium Standard. That's on top of higher rate limits for several other AI tools from Google, such as Antigravity, Gemini CLI, and Code Assist. No discount on Ultra tier Unfortunately, for power users, Google is not offering a similar last-minute discount on the AI Ultra tier, which costs $200 per month. The deal is also not available in all regions. The 50% off only applies to new users. So, if you are an existing subscriber or have previously paid for Google AI Pro, your account won't likely be eligible for the offer. It is a limited-time offer, and there are caveats as to who can avail the benefits and who cannot, but with the new pricing, the Mountain View-based tech giant is letting individuals access its full suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features with higher rate limits without it weighing too heavily on the wallet. Additionally, a report claims that a similar discount is being offered on Google One's annual plans as well. Google One, Google AI Pro Plans Cheaper by 50 Percent In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the official handle of Gemini announced a 50 percent flat discount on the annual Google AI Pro plan. The offer is only available to new subscribers, meaning they should not have purchased the plan previously from that Google account. Additionally, the discount is only available in select regions. It is available in the US, but Gadgets 360 staff members were not able to confirm it in India. Further, the offer is only valid till January 15. So, for a new subscriber in the US, the 12-month Google AI Pro plan, which is usually priced at $199.99 (roughly Rs. 17,950) for the first year, is priced at $99.99 (roughly Rs. 9,000). After the offer period, the next year will be charged at $239.88. Do note that the subscription auto-renews after the duration of the offer, so users who do not wish to continue should either turn off auto-pay or disable the mandate. With the Google AI Pro subscription, users will get higher access to the Gemini 3 Pro AI model, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, Veo 3.1 Fast for video generation, as well as access to the Gemini chatbot across the company's Workspace products. Users will also enjoy 2TB of cloud storage across Drive, Photos, and Gmail. Separately, a 9to5Google report stated that Google One is also running a similar offer where new subscribers can get a 50 percent discount on the annual plans. The terms and conditions are the same as the Gemini plan. With this change, the Basic 100GB plan will cost users $9.99 (roughly Rs. 900) for 12 months instead of $19.99 (roughly Rs. 1,800). Similarly, the Premium 2TB plan, which typically charges $99.99 (roughly Rs. 9,000) for a year, is currently available for $49.99 (roughly Rs. 4,490).

For image creation and editing, Nano Banana supports up to 1,000 images daily, while Nano Banana Pro allows 100 images per day. Video creation is also part of the plan, with up to three short videos per day using Veo 3.1 Fast. The AI Pro plan adds deeper support across Google apps, and users can generate up to 20 deep research reports per day and work with very long documents using a large context window.
