The partnership extends beyond R&D, too. As reported by Korea Times, Samsung Display and Intel are joining forces in global marketing efforts to showcase their latest display and processing advancements. The duo already has an exhibition running in Seoul titled "Humans with AI." At the exhibit, hosted at the Kyobo Book Centre through next month, visitors can experience Samsung's premium OLED TVs and high-definition displays. They can also test a Samsung Galaxy Book laptop powered by an Intel AI chip against a standard LCD model. Of course, the deal is about much more than impressive demos. With Samsung Display locked in an intense battle against rivals like BOE and LG for premium laptop display dominance, partnering with a semiconductor giant like Intel could prove extremely advantageous.

Intel and Samsung now believe that their collaborative work will push innovation forward and improve user experience with AI-integrated devices, though again, this is a very unclear description of what is to come. Samsung Display competes fiercely against companies like BOE and LG Electronics over the premium laptop market. The collaboration with Intel will secure Samsung Display a place inside next-generation Intel Core-based laptops. Perhaps, the joint marketing campaigns will further draw attention to technologies developed by both companies and will certainly help with additional brand recognition.

Joining the Samsung Display executives were Hans Chuang, Intel's Asia Pacific & Japan general manager of sales, marketing and communications, and David Feng, Intel's vice president of the client computing group. Under the MOU, the two sides agreed to maximize their technological synergy and introduce a distinctive AI experience to users. As part of those efforts, Samsung Display said it will develop display solutions catered to Intel's latest AI accelerator chips, as well as exploring breakthrough opportunities in the global premium laptop computer market, including high-performance IT devices and AI PCs. The exhibition, titled "Humans with AI," began on Friday and continues until next month. At the exhibition, Samsung Display is exhibiting media artist Kim Won-hwa's works on its 77-inch quantum dot OLED televisions, as well as showcasing other high-definition OLED products. The company has also prepared an experience zone where visitors can compare Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Book 5 Pro equipped with Intel's AI chip and an ordinary laptop with an LCD screen. Samsung Display previously demonstrated its technologies at an AI media art exhibition jointly held by Intel Korea and Samsung Electronics in January 2024.
