I love the clarity with which you're executing it," said Dream11 CEO Harsh Jain in response to Ambani, adding, "And I know Jio is going to give it an affordable cost. And it, you know, keeping up with the Jio mentality of bringing affordable data to the masses." To this Ambani, responded, "Absolutely," adding, "You can't really impact it if it's not cost-affordable. You know, Jio is a pan India company. We acquire customers from tier-one cities to tier-six cities. You know, the top thousand towns of India are covered by Jio. That's the connectivity impact that we've had. But even with our platforms, that's something that we aim to do." Jio Brain offers ML-as-a-service for enterprises, eliminating the need for expensive infrastructure. Ambani emphasizes AI's role in transforming jobs and the importance of AI hardware, R&D, and talent for India's leadership in AI.Jio Platforms, the telecom and digital arm of Reliance Industries, is building an AI personal computer in the cloud which is compatible with any consumer screen and will allow users to build compute-intensive AI applications, Aakash Ambani, chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm said. He added that companies which do not embrace AI and reimagine their functions will have a "bleak" future. Further, he believes that AI will transform the future of jobs but won't replace them. "We have a consumer application which we will be shortly launching. It's a cloud PC, which is a complete PC in the cloud, which is accessible in each of your houses but really be device agnostic. Jio Brain, which offers ML-as-a-service for enterprises, doesn't need users to have costly infrastructure to build AI applications. "You can just tag on to JioBrain, and we'll launch that in the coming quarters as we perfect the use cases for that." Similarly, with JioTele OS, the operating system for connecting smart TVs, the company wants to reach 100 million users in the shortest possible time. "One of our biggest growth missions of Jio and where we want to make an impact is connecting each home. But with that, we'll be opening ourselves up as a platform for developers to come on the platform, have access to these homes, reach all of those consumers, and then deploy India-first solutions" said Ambani. "We'll be able to build really a platform that can sustain this growth for the Indian entrepreneurship and tech hub." He called AI the biggest technology revolution that "we have seen in our lifetime. In my view, it is the engine that will empower India to grow at 10% or double-digit growth numbers for the foreseeable future." He said that India needs to focus on three fundamental blocks that will enable us in AI leadership - AI hardware infrastructure, research and development, and talent. "Today at Jio, we've already invested in our overall full stack AI team, which is led by data scientists, researchers and engineers to be a thousand plus." He said that companies which do not embrace AI and reimagine their functions are going to have a "bleak" future. "Our (Jio's) operations centres, customer care, sales, data analytics, all of that we have to embrace AI as we build our companies." Ambani also said that he is a firm believer that AI will transform the future of jobs but won't replace them - similar to the emergence of the internet which created new industries such as fintech, e-commerce, creator economy etc. "At Jio, we are already embracing it. We prepared for it, equipped ourselves with the right tools, and insights to excel our impact, excel our businesses." For instance, Jio today monitors its network that now covers about 95% of the living population of India. "We can proactively monitor, and before even a customer has a bad experience, we can predict it. The patterns are being picked up by ML/AI engineers, who spend the time to actually solve the problem, rather than finding it."

On Jio's AI ambitions, he noted that the company has already "invested" in an "overall" full stack AI team, without specifying the number. He, however, said that the digital giant boasts over a thousand employees in its AI team including data scientists, researchers and engineers. Ambani also went on to claim that the companies that do not embrace AI and "reimagine" their functions with the tech will have a "bleak" future. "Our (Jio's) operations centres, customer care, sales, data analytics, all of that we have to embrace AI as we build our companies," he added. On the impact of AI on jobs, the Jio Infocomm chief executive said that the emerging technology will "transform the future of jobs" but will not replace them, citing the emergence of the internet which created new industries such as fintech, ecommerce, creator economy, among others. Earlier in the day, Hyderabad-based listed entertainment company 7Seas Entertainment said that it has signed a partnership to offer its games to smartphones and set-top box users of JioGames. "This marks a significant milestone for us since JioGames is a leading brand and the fast growing conglomerate, with (a) huge gamer's base...
