OnePlus unveils OxygenOS 16 update with deep Gemini integration
OnePlus is expected to take the wraps off the OnePlus 15 in the next few weeks, but before that, it's giving us a look at the software that will run on it. OxygenOS 16, which is based on Android 16, will also come to the company's other supported phones, and it's going to include a heaping helping of AI features. OnePlus was slower than most smartphone makers to embrace AI, but it's full-steam ahead now with new Gemini integrations. OxygenOS 16 is described by OnePlus in grandiose terms as "a defiant rebellion for authenticity." In the real world, this update is doing a lot of the same things as other AI-heavy smartphones. It's not all AI -- OnePlus notes that OxygenOS 16 will include revamped animations that have been carefully designed for smoothness, as well as the O+ remote app that gives you remote access to Windows and Mac PCs. The lock screen is also more customizable, borrowing a page from the likes of Apple and Samsung. OnePlus began embracing AI back in June, when it launched a feature called Mind Space on the OnePlus 13S. That phone was only for the Indian market, but the rest of the world will get this and more with OxygenOS 16. At launch, Mind Space would collect your screenshots and brief voice messages. Mind Space would analyze the screenshots to create calendar entries and not much else. The updated Android software expands what you can add to Mind Space and uses Gemini. For starters, you can add scrolling screenshots and voice memos up to 60 seconds in length. This provides more data for the AI to generate content. For example, if you take screenshots of hotel listings and airline flights, you can tell Gemini to use your Mind Space content to create a trip itinerary. This will be fully integrated with the phone and won't require a separate subscription to Google's AI tools. Mind Space isn't a totally new idea -- it's quite similar to AI features like Nothing's Essential Space and Google's Pixel Screenshots and Journal. The idea is that if you give an AI model enough data on your thoughts and plans, it can provide useful insights. That's still hypothetical based on what we've seen from other smartphone OEMs, but that's not stopping OnePlus from fully embracing AI in Android 16. In addition to beefing up Mind Space, OxygenOS 16 will also add system-wide AI writing tools, which is another common AI add-on. Like the systems from Apple, Google, and Samsung, you will be able to use the OnePlus writing tools to adjust text, proofread, and generate summaries. OnePlus will make OxygenOS 16 available starting tomorrow (October 17) as an open beta. You'll need a OnePlus device from the past three years to run the software, both in the beta phase and when it's finally released. As for that, OnePlus hasn't offered a specific date. The initial OxygenOS 16 release will be with the OnePlus 15 devices, with releases for other supported phones and tablets coming later.

OnePlus' OxygenOS 16 brings Gemini into your Mind Space
OnePlus has announced OxygenOS 16, its take on Android 16, with upgrades to its Mind Space AI tool including complete integration with Google Gemini. Other updates include new lock screen customizations, improved connectivity options, and design tweaks throughout. Mind Space is where the biggest changes have been made. When it launched in June, Mind Space only allowed you to save screenshots, which the AI would then analyze to extract information or create calendar entries. Now you can also save longer, scrolling screenshots to the AI locker, and record 60-second voice memos to add more information for the AI to work with. More importantly, OnePlus has worked with Google to integrate its Gemini AI Assistant, which is capable of handling tasks based on the information in your Mind Space. Save lots of screenshots of hotels, flight options, and attractions for a vacation, for example, and you can ask Gemini to create a travel itinerary based specifically on what you've saved. Other changes to OxygenOS 16 include significantly more flexible lock screen customizations that echo Apple's additions in 2022's iOS 16. Connectivity with other products has been improved too: you can now tap to share photos between an Oppo phone and an iPhone, connect to an Apple Watch for basic notification syncing, and take remote control of both Macs and now Windows PCs, all through the O Plus Connect app. All that, plus the promise of smoother performance, more fluid animations, and a glowing "Optical Light" effect in some UI elements that bears a passing resemblance to Apple's Liquid Glass. Most of the changes seen in OxygenOS are shared by Oppo's ColorOS 16, on which it's based, also revealed in full today alongside the Find X9 flagship phones. OxygenOS 16 enters an open beta tomorrow, October 17th, and will first launch officially together with the upcoming OnePlus 15 before rolling out to older devices.

OxygenOS 16 has new lock screen customization options and a novel Gemini integration
OnePlus has finally shown off its take on Android 16. OxygenOS 16, first shipping on the upcoming OnePlus 15, combines the new customization options of Android, with smoother animations and a take on AI that seems directly lifted from Nothing OS. The centerpiece of OxygenOS 16 is a deeper integration between OnePlus' "Mind Space" app and Google Gemini. Mind Space debuted alongside the Plus Key -- the replacement for OnePlus' classic Alert Slider -- on some OnePlus 13 phones earlier this year. Like Nothing's Essential Space, it captures screenshots and voice memos and automatically sorts them into folders you can refer to later. The big innovation of OxygenOS 16 is that you can now ask Gemini to refer to content in Mind Space to personalize responses. The idea being that the added context will make the AI assistant's responses more helpful. OnePlus is also hopping on the AI writing and photo editing bandwagon. AI Writer in OxygenOS 16 can convert text into mind maps and tables with a few taps, and also generate social media captions based on a photo. The usual options for proofreading and summarizing text are also built-in. For photos, OnePlus is adding what it calls AI Portrait Glow to make faces visible even in poor lighting conditions and AI Perfect Shot, which appears to combine multiple photos to generate a single image where everyone's eyes are open, like Google's Best Take feature. Beyond those AI-enabled features, OnePlus says it's also improving customization options and animations across OxygenOS. With OxygenOS 16 you'll be able to customize your lock screen with a variety different fonts and layouts, including the option to convert a still image into an animated GIF or use a video lock screen. On your home screen, OxygenOS 16 is also getting a collection of new widgets and the ability to scale app icons -- another idea present in Nothing OS. Opening and moving between apps should also feel smoother thanks to new, speedier animations and an update to how the OS loads content. Essentially, with Parallel Processing 2.0, OxygenOS 16 "allows new animations to begin before previous actions complete," which is supposed to make everything feel more fluid. Those are just the highlights of OxygenOS 16, which also includes an expansion of the tablet multitasking system OnePlus uses on its OnePlus Pad tablets, and new connectivity options that let you mirror your phone screen to macOS or Windows computers. OxygenOS 16 will be released alongside the OnePlus 15, which doesn't have a release date, but is expected to launch this fall. The new OS update will also be available on recent OnePlus devices starting in November 2025, like the OnePlus 13, OnePlus Pad 3 and OnePlus Open. A full list of compatible devices is available on OnePlus' website.

OnePlus reveals Android 16 update with an iOS-like redesign and Apple Watch support
The OnePlus 15 is seemingly a short few months away, as it's already been officially announced for both China and global markets. In order to launch a new phone, though, OnePlus also needs a new software build, and with Android 16 having been around for a while now, it's time for OxygenOS 16's official debut. OxygenOS 16 feels like a big update for the company, continuing a push into all things AI-focused after a similar initiative last year while also throwing in a fresh redesign for good measure. If you were hoping for something inspired by Material 3 Expressive, however, I have some bad news. Rather than beating around the bush, it's worth coming right out and saying it: OxygenOS 16 looks almost exactly like modern builds on iOS, taking a style usually reserved for China-exclusive devices and setting it up for a launch in the US unlike anything we've really seen. OnePlus says its new design language is called "Breath [sic] with You," and practically every element reminds me of pre-Liquid Glass iOS. The weather app, already relatively similar to Apple's relaunched version, is practically indistinguishable. Quick settings looks right out of Control Center (even moreso than last year), with rounded translucent circles and oval-shaped sliders. The app drawer can be transformed into a category-based layout that's a dead ringer for Apple's App Library. The lock screen is one of the few places where Liquid Glass inspiration really does appear, with OnePlus utilizing those same ultra-tall numbers for one of its clock stylings, right next to iOS-styled widget icons. OxygenOS really is loaded with good ideas, but it's difficult to see beyond just how blatantly stolen the overall design is, and the stuff that isn't directly inspired by Apple -- like elongated home screen icons -- just doesn't look very good. I'll be curious to see how longtime fans react. At the very least, some of the more ridiculous elements like an App Library-esque app drawer can be ignored. The obsession with Apple doesn't stop there, though, as OnePlus has also continued adding "Cross-Eco Connectivity" to its platform. Last year, the company effectively built an AirDrop client into OxygenOS, allowing OnePlus and iPhone users to trade files back and forth. This year, though, the company's going much farther, adding the ability to pair an Apple Watch with their OnePlus device through OHealth. OnePlus says this enables notifications, messages, synced exercise records, and even phone call support, though I'll be shocked if Apple doesn't snuff this feature out in the coming weeks. Finally, after launching the OnePlus 12 less than two years ago with barely a focus on AI, the company has done a complete 180, loading OxygenOS 16 with as many AI-focused tools as possible. Some of these are enhancements to existing apps. Mind Space -- an app for organizing screenshots and other saved content from your screen -- now includes Gemini support, allowing Google's chatbot to see what you've saved on-device. The company's productivity-focused suite gets things like AI Scan for scanning screens and presentation slides, alongside more AI writing tools for customizing your language. For as overwhelming as the focus on AI might feel, it's also relatively shallow. Writing tools, recorders with AI transcriptions, even an AI-based menu translator -- none of it feels particularly unique, which is sort of the story of OxygenOS 16. There's plenty of new here, if that's all you're looking for, but practically all of it has been seen before. Even Plus Mind's ability to save content in Mind Space on your behalf feels overly vague, and considering its hardware shortcut key can be changed to activate other tools, I wouldn't be surprised if most users end up missing it entirely. I'll really have to try OxygenOS 16 for myself before fully cementing my opinion; unfortunately, I was unable to go hands-on with an early preview before today's announcement. Thankfully, it's not far out from launch. OnePlus kicks off an open beta program starting tomorrow, October 17th, while the upcoming OnePlus 15 will launch with this update out of the box. Expect lots of legacy devices to get this upgrade in the coming months.

OnePlus lays out OxygenOS 16 update roadmap for older models
19 devices are eligible, with some set to receive the update as early as next month. What happened? OnePlus recently revealed the latest version of its software skin, OxygenOS, based on Android 16 and confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 15 will be the first device to run the software out of the box. During its OxygenOS 16 announcement, OnePlus also said that beta testing for older devices would begin on October 17. We now have a list of devices eligible for the update, along with the expected release timeline. November 2025: Recent models including the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Pad 3, and OnePlus Pad 2. December 2025: OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus 11R 5G, OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Nord CE5, OnePlus Nord 4, and OnePlus Nord 3 5G. Q1 2026: OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, OnePlus Nord CE4, OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G, OnePlus Pad, and OnePlus Pad Lite. Why is this important? OxygenOS 16 is a major update that brings new Android 16 features along with several AI-powered extras unique to OnePlus. The update adds a new Collections system to the Plus Mind feature that debuted with the OnePlus 13s, which automatically categorizes saved items. It introduces a new long-press shortcut for the side key that allows users to record voice notes and transcribe them in real time. OxygenOS 16 also adds an AI-powered contextual search feature and a smart scan tool that automatically adjusts the angle and brightness of images before saving them as PDFs. Other noteworthy improvements include Gemini integration in Plus Mind, seamless file transfers and screen mirroring between OnePlus phones and Windows or Mac devices, Apple Watch compatibility, and a few clever AI photography enhancements. Why should I care? If you own one of the eligible devices, OxygenOS 16 should seriously level up what you can do with your phone. The new Collections system and Gemini integration in Plus Mind will make it easier to keep things organized and pull information from the content saved in Plus Mind. The AI-powered contextual search feature will help you find exactly what you're looking for without digging through apps, messages, or settings. Seamlessly connectivity with Windows and Mac devices should help streamline your workflow, while Apple Watch compatibility will give you the option to ditch Wear OS watches. The new scan tool and long-press shortcut for the side key will prove handy when you want to scan documents or capture quick voice notes, while the AI photography features should level up your snaps. Recommended Videos What's next? With the beta rollout kicking off soon, OnePlus users won't have to wait long to test OxygenOS 16's new AI capabilities. However, OnePlus notes that some new features may not be available on all eligible devices due to hardware limitations.

OnePlus Delivers OxygenOS 16 Update With More Fast and Smooth, AI
We may earn a commission when you click links to retailers and purchase goods. More info. Today, OnePlus officially revealed its Android 16 update for current phones and the upcoming OnePlus 15. They are calling this OxygenOS 16 and it has a slogan of "Intelligently Yours," since there is a lot of AI behind-the-scenes. That's not all that is new, although, its is the stuff that OnePlus wants to talk to the most about, just like every other phone maker. The big pitch for OxygenOS 16 and Android 16 on flagship OnePlus phones is what they are calling the "Plus Mind." Futuristic robotic takeover scary sound aside, Plus Mind is the power behind a hub of information that you store in place called "Mind Space." Remember the Essential Space from Nothing? Yeah, it's a lot like that. OnePlus gives you a 3-finger swipe-up gesture that saves anything on your screen to the Mind Space at any time. You can save articles, photos, whatever is in front of your camera's viewfinder, and voice recordings. Plus, with phones that have the new Plus Key (like the upcoming OnePlus 15), you'll be able to access it right from that button. The Plus Mind then analyzes info from the Mind Space to recommend actions, like calendar events. It's big feature is also to organize all of the information you save to it to help you find it when you finally go back looking. A potential secret weapon for this all might be a connection with Google's Gemini. By connecting Gemini to Plus Mind, you can access Gemini for help with information within the Mind Space and Gemini will then also use the web to put together plans or more info. Again, this is just like the Essential Space from Nothing, only in the OnePlus style and Gemini. Continuing in the AI realm, OnePlus is adding more AI tools, like an AI Writer, AI Scan app for your camera, an AI Portrait Glow portrait enhancer, AI Perfect Shot, AI PlayLab, and more. As far as the rest of the non-AI update material, we have improvements worth talking about below: Finally, OxygenOS 16 on tablets is bringing a revamped home screen with scalable icons and an expanded dock that supports up to 18 apps. Users will also find deeper integration with Windows PCs, allowing them to operate their computer directly from the tablet with a virtual trackpad and drag-and-drop file transfer. As far as availability, OnePlus will introduce an OxygenOS 16 Open Beta Program starting tomorrow, October 17. We'll work on getting you a list of devices, but the OnePlus 13 should be at the top of the list. We've been testing it on that device already.

OnePlus reveals OxygenOS 16, an AI-first evolution with a few Apple surprises
OnePlus has just announced the latest evolution of its smartphone software, OxygenOS 16, which brings a generous dose of AI-powered features and upgrades the foundations to Android 16. The first device to run the software out of the box will be the upcoming OnePlus 15, while the beta testing program for the older devices kicks off on October 17th. What's new with OxygenOS 16? OnePlus recently shipped a feature called Plus Mind that serves as a memory bank for all the important stuff you want to save, with intelligent search and intelligence thrown into the mix. OxygenOS 16 adds a new Collections system to the space that automatically categorizes saved items into dedicated clusters, somewhat like app categories on iPhones. Additionally, with a long-press on the physical side key, users can now directly record a voice note and also get it transcribed in real-time, alongside summaries. OxygenOS 16 introduces a new AI-powered contextual search feature that makes it dramatically easier to find relevant items. Users can now even create mind maps based on their saved notes. There's a neat AI scan feature that turns camera snaps into PDFs while automatically adjusting the angle and brightness. Recommended Videos The bigger shift this time around is the integration of Google Gemini into the Plus Mind. Thanks to Gemini, users can now seamlessly combine data pulled from the content saved in Plus Mind, the internet, and Gemini's knowledge bank to get work done. OxygenOS 16 also implements a system-wide AI writer tool that handles style adjustments, proofreading, and summarization, similar to Writing Tools within Apple Intelligence. What else is worth checking out? One feature, in particular, that users will appreciate is the O+ Connect system, which acts like a bridge between OnePlus phones and Windows or Mac devices. It lets you seamlessly access files stored on the phone directly on your PC (in wireless mode), and even mirror the phone's screen, too. Then there's the Remote Control feature that lets users remotely access and control their computer on a OnePlus phone or tablet. When I tested it on a foldable phone to remotely run my MacBook Air, it worked pretty well. Talking about cross-device connectivity, you can now pair an Apple Watch with a OnePlus phone using the OHealth app, complete with full notification, calling, and health activity sync support in tow. Going a step further, the O+ Connect app even lets OnePlus phones share data with iPhones by bringing the two devices closer, just like the NameDrop feature on iPhones. On the more flashy side of things, OxygenOS 16 relies on AI to glow up your portrait shots clicked in low-light surroundings, and can also swap frames with the AI Perfect Shot to make sure you aren't blinking or not showing your best side in a group picture. Furthermore, the update brings a new AI PlayLab feature, where users can get access to experimental features. Among them is YumSee. You just point the camera at a menu, and the AI will not only translate the text, but also pull up a picture so that you get a better idea of what you're about to order. Party Up is another AI-powered tool that turns photos into short clips, somewhat like the Veo-powered tricks in Google's Flow filmmaking tool. Moroever, OxygenOS 16 pushes in-house tech such as Parallel Processing 2.0 and Flow Motion to make UI interactions feel snappier and smoother.

The update introduces refined visuals with the "Breath with You" design language and improved cross-device performance via O+ Connect. Eligible devices will receive the Open Beta starting October 17. OnePlus has officially unveiled OxygenOS 16, its next-generation software built on Android 16, marking a major step forward for the brand's ecosystem. The OxygenOS 16 Open Beta begins October 17, with the stable rollout following soon after. Eligible devices include the OnePlus 13 series, OnePlus 12 and 11 lineups, Nord 5, Nord 4, Nord 3, and the OnePlus Pad series. The update promises smarter AI integration, refined visuals, and faster cross-device performance. The upcoming OnePlus 15 will debut with OxygenOS 16 pre-installed, while eligible models will begin receiving the update through the Open Beta Program starting October 17. According to Arthur Lam, Director of OxygenOS and AI Strategy at OnePlus, the release embodies the company's "Intelligently Yours" philosophy -- software designed to understand users, not just respond to them. At the heart of OxygenOS 16 is Plus Mind, OnePlus's new personal intelligence system. Acting as a digital hub, it learns user habits and organizes content in a dedicated Mind Space -- collecting screenshots, notes, and reminders in one place. Access is seamless through a three-finger swipe or the Plus Key, and contextual recognition allows it to extract details like dates or addresses from images to suggest relevant actions, such as calendar entries or navigation. Integration with Google Gemini adds another layer of personalization. Gemini can draw data from Mind Space to deliver tailored suggestions -- for instance, pulling your saved restaurant notes to create a weekend dining plan or using saved decor images to design a layout. The update also introduces the AI Efficiency Suite, featuring tools like AI Writer for quick content generation, AI Scan for document digitization, and AI Recorder for automatic transcriptions and summaries. On the creative front, AI Portrait Glow, AI Perfect Shot, and AI PlayLab enhance photos and introduce playful features like text-to-image or photo-to-video generation. Visually, OxygenOS 16 brings a lighter, more fluid interface that feels polished without losing its OnePlus identity. The new "Breath with You" design language introduces soft gradients, adaptive blur, and live weather animations that mirror real-world conditions. Subtle refinements to icons and typography add a cleaner, more cohesive look across the UI. The Flux Theme 2.0 makes personalization even more dynamic, with customizable lock screens, motion photos, and interactive mini widgets. Meanwhile, Parallel Processing 2.0 and enhanced Flow Motion animations keep the system running effortlessly smooth -- even during heavy multitasking. Users will also notice stronger device connectivity through the O+ Connect app, enabling seamless, cable-free file transfers between phones, tablets, and PCs. Support for Apple Watch connectivity is an unexpected but welcome addition, allowing users to sync notifications and calls across platforms. Beyond aesthetics, OxygenOS 16 focuses on delivering tangible performance and security improvements. The system's Parallel Processing 2.0 ensures consistent speed and stability, while the Private Computing Cloud offers hardware-level encryption for sensitive data. Region-specific features like Plus Lock -- which helps secure lost or stolen phones -- are currently limited to select markets but expected to expand. The update also extends OxygenOS's capabilities to tablets, offering multi-app split views and improved PC pairing. OxygenOS 16 doesn't overhaul the OnePlus experience -- it elevates it. The interface feels more intuitive, animations are smoother, and AI features enhance usability without feeling intrusive. It's a thoughtful blend of design, intelligence, and performance that reflects where OnePlus software is heading next: a phone that doesn't just keep up with you, but learns along the way. OnePlus launches OxygenOS 16 -- New features, roll out schedule
OnePlus just launched OxygenOS 16, the company's next major software refresh as it had announced. The OxygenOS 16 centered around the philosophy of "Intelligently Yours". The new version introduces a suite of AI-powered features, performance enhancements, a redesigned user interface, and new security protocols. The update aims to seamlessly blend artificial intelligence with the brand's signature "fast and smooth" user experience. I have been testing the OxygenOS 16 closed beta version for a couple of weeks now, and here are the features you need to know about. The cornerstone of OxygenOS 16 is OnePlus AI, a system designed to understand user habits and content to provide a more personalized experience. Plus Mind and Google Gemini Integration A central feature is Plus Mind, a unified system for capturing and organizing content like articles, photos, and schedules from various apps. With a three-finger swipe up or a press of the dedicated Plus Key, content is saved to a central "Mind Space". The system can summarize content and uses AI to automatically group related items into collections. Plus Mind is available in English, Hindi, and Indonesian. In a significant partnership, OnePlus has integrated Mind Space with Google Gemini. This allows Gemini to access information saved in Mind Space and combine it with its own large language model and real-time internet access, creating what OnePlus calls the "industry's 1st personalized AI with Gemini". For example, you can ask Gemini to create an itinerary based on saved locations in Mind Space while cross-referencing the current weather forecast online. You can also ask Gemini for all the content saved on Mind Space. I asked for the gym membership details I had saved on Mind Space from Instagram, and it gave all the details. AI-Powered Productivity and Creativity OxygenOS 16 embeds AI into several productivity tools: AI PlayLab For enthusiasts, the AI PlayLab app provides early access to experimental AI features. These include "YumSee," which translates foreign text-only menus and generates images of the dishes, and "Party Up," which creates short videos from a single still image. OnePlus continues to focus on system fluidity and responsiveness with several key upgrades. Parallel Processing 2.0 and Flow Motion Building on a feature from OxygenOS 15, Parallel Processing 2.0 allows a new animation to begin before the previous one has finished, ensuring smoother transitions during rapid actions. This technology is now expanded to more system areas, including the App Drawer and three-button navigation controls. This foundation enables Flow Motion, an advancement in animation that creates seamless transitions across the entire user interface, from the lock screen to native apps. Seamless Cross-Ecosystem Connectivity OxygenOS 16 enhances connectivity with other devices. By installing the O+ Connect app, users can integrate their OnePlus phone with a Mac or Windows PC to manage files wirelessly, sync notifications, and mirror the phone's screen. In a notable addition, the update introduces integration with the Apple Watch via a dedicated OHealth app, allowing users to view notifications, handle calls, and sync exercise data. The "Touch to Share" feature also now works between OnePlus devices and iPhones with the O+ Connect app installed. The update introduces a new design language called "Breath with You," which is intended to create a light and airy visual experience. It features rounded corners, Gaussian blur effects, and live weather animations that respond to real-time conditions. You can now mute incoming call ringtone to help maintain quiet in public places. OxygenOS 16 bolsters security with the Private Computing Cloud, which uses advanced encryption with both GPU and CPU protection to secure sensitive data. For users in India with a OnePlus 15 or newer, Plus Lock Protection provides multiple layers of security for a lost device, including remote locking and 11 layers of data encryption. The moment the SIM card is removed without authorization, the phone will instantly lock itself, protecting the data. For tablets, the update brings a revamped home screen that can fit more app icons and a dock that can hold up to 18 apps. The Open Canvas multitasking feature now supports up to five apps simultaneously -- three in split-view and two as floating windows. The Compass and Calculator apps now feature the impressive Optical Lights effect. Calling 1+ number from the dialer has a surprise. There are also easter egg in Calculator as usual, and there is a new Boot-up Wizard. Battery details have improved, and it now shows battery usage status and screen on time for 24 hours and the past 7 days clearly. You can also switch between modes easily. Search feature in settings is better. Note app has richer editing, better visual styling and is smoother to use. When a phone connects to a Wi-Fi network, you can now share it with the OnePlus tablet you are using. Battery life has also been improved on the OnePlus 13s compared to OxygenOS 15. I got over 8 hours of screen on time, with 2 and half days of use, compared to 6 hours with 2 days of use. OnePlus changelog mentions that battery-saving strategies have been enhanced for network usage in specific apps or scenarios to extend battery life. OxygenOS 16 represents a clear strategic shift for OnePlus, placing intelligent and personalized AI at the forefront of the user experience. The deep integration with Google Gemini, coupled with a host of in-house AI productivity tools, signals a move towards a more proactive and assistive operating system. While retaining its core focus on performance and a clean design, the latest update's emphasis on cross-platform connectivity and robust customization suggests a comprehensive approach to refining the smartphone experience. OnePlus 15 that will launch globally later this year will be the first device to come with the latest OxygenOS 16 right out of the box. OxygenOS 16 will roll out starting from November 2025 and will continue till Q1 2026. Commenting on this, Arthur Lam, Director of OxygenOS and AI Strategy at OnePlus, said:
