Samsung's 2025 Bespoke appliances are going all in on AI
The company is also launching what it says is the most powerful stick vacuum on the market. Back at , Samsung for 2025. But more recently, I got a chance to check out the entire lineup all in one place. It seemed like a perfect time to do a quick rundown of some of the most interesting new products and features coming to Samsung's Bespoke portfolio later this year. The centerpiece of the Bespoke line remains , which is now available with two different-sized screens. There's a model with a smaller 9-inch screen that starts at $3,999 or one with a massive 32-inch panel called the Family Hub+ for $4,699. The former is ostensibly designed for people who want something a bit more discreet but still want access to Samsung's smart features, which includes widgets for your calendar, music, weather, various cooking apps and more. Meanwhile, the larger model is for families who aren't afraid of having a small TV in their face every time they open their fridge. You can even play videos from TikTok on it, if that's what you're into. That said, Samsung is hoping to entice people to take advantage of those displays with even more AI-powered tools, most notably its improved AI Vision Inside object recognition. By using sensors mounted within the appliance, Samsung says its latest Bespoke fridge can detect 37 different types of fresh ingredients (e.g. produce and dairy) and up to 50 processed foods. This allows the device to keep an up-to-date list of items you may (or may not) have on hand, which you can view on the fridge's display or from your phone while you're grocery shopping. Now, I will fully admit that AI has become a somewhat empty buzzword recently, and in this situation, I'm not entirely sure what the difference between AI-based and traditional object recognition really is. But being able to have your fridge generate a list of what's inside when you're at the store is the kind of convenience I'd like to see more of. Other features on Samsung's Bespoke French-Door fridges include built-in Wi-Fi and SmartThings connectivity, a Dual Auto Ice maker that can create both regular and smaller "Ice Bite" cubes and the always useful Beverage Center with its built-in cold water pitcher. If all this isn't techy enough, Samsung also has a of its 4-door fridge (starting at $3,999) that chills its contents using both a standard compressor and a solid-state . The idea is that in normal use, the compressor provides consistent baseline cooling while the Peltier module (through the power of AI) turns on to address big changes in temperature. For example, the module would kick on when you're loading groceries or simply have the doors open for too long. Not only does this help bring temperatures back to normal faster, it also reduces overall energy consumption. For people looking to cram a new fridge in a tight spot, Samsung also made the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Kitchen Fit Refrigerator (price is still TBD). While it doesn't have a Peltier module, the advantage of this model is that it has different doors and hinges that don't protrude nearly as much when open. This means the fridge only needs a gap of just 4mm (0.15 inches) on each side instead of multiple inches like a normal fridge. For cooking, Samsung's matte glass induction cooktops are mostly the same, but its Bespoke 30-inch single ($3,759) and double ($4,649) wall ovens have...you guessed it, more AI. In addition to a 7-inch display, there are also cameras and sensors inside the oven that can recognize up to 80 different recipes to provide optimal cooking times. But if you prefer to go off-script and create something original, Samsung says the oven will give you the option to save the recipe and temperature settings after cooking the same dish five times. And for a more fun application of its tech, the oven's cameras can record videos and create time-lapses of your baked goods for sharing on social media. When it's time to clean up, Samsung's $1,399 Bespoke Auto Open Door Dishwasher has a few tricks of its own. In this case, the washer uses AI (yet again) and sensors to more accurately detect food residue and optimize cleaning cycles. There's also a third rack with dedicated sprayers for glasses. But the best part is that while in use, the washer tops out at just 38 decibels, which Samsung says makes it one of the quietest models in its class. Moving on to laundry, Samsung says its $3,099 Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo is the first of its kind, as most combined washer/dryers are typically meant for ventless installations like small apartments (of course, there is a non-vented model as well). But to me, the more impressive thing is that Samsung claims its combo laundry machine can perform a full wash and dry cycle in as little as 68 minutes, which is faster than many paired units can achieve. Finally, there's the $1,099 Bespoke AI Jet Ultra Cordless Stick Vacuum, which seems like Samsung's attempt to one-up Dyson. Thanks to its new HexaJet motor, the Jet boasts up to 400AW of suction while battery life is rated at up to 100 minutes. The company says that combo makes this stick vac the most powerful and long-lasting model available today. It also uses AI to better detect what surface its on to more effectively hoover up dirt and debris. The main downside is that the vacuum's shaft and housing are significantly thicker than what you get on many of its rivals, so it may not be quite as maneuverable. Samsung Unveils New Refrigerator Lineup Equipped With Screens and Enhanced AI Vision Inside Feature
Company expands screens across 4-Door, 4-Door French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators, expanding the 'Screens Everywhere' vision Refrigerators with innovative AI Hybrid Cooling Technology roll out globally Samsung Electronics today announced the global rollout of its latest lineup of smart refrigerators, reinforcing the "Screens Everywhere" vision introduced at CES 2025. This expansion includes the introduction of the 9-inch AI Home screen on the 4-Door, 4-Door French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators, as well as an enhanced Family Hub screen on select French Door and Side-by-Side models. An enhanced AI Vision Inside feature is integrated on select 4-Door and 4-Door French Door models, refining food identification and streamlining meal planning to ensure a more intuitive kitchen experience for users. "By offering a wide array of refrigerator options across type and also screen sizes, we are expanding choices to meet diverse household requirements," says Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. "Consumers can enjoy greater flexibility in choosing fridge designs while benefiting from the AI-powered smart home experience Samsung provides." Samsung's new refrigerators incorporate the intuitive 9" AI Home screen and 32" or 21.5" Family Hub screens, which are designed to enhance four key areas of daily life: Food, Home, Family Communication and Entertainment. The first category, food, is especially powered by the upgraded AI Vision Inside, which adds four more food items to the list of recognizable types for a total of 37. Furthermore, adding on to fresh food items, AI Vision Inside can now also recognize processed food items. Refrigerators with the enhanced AI Vision Inside will recognize and recommend users to save processed food items that have been placed inside multiple times, allowing up to 50 items to be saved with designated names. Based on the improved food list, the screen will provide tailored recipe recommendations and meal planning, making home cooking more seamless and personalized. Beyond food, the screens also enhance smart home connectivity. The latest advancements provide deeper integration into the smart home ecosystem, making the refrigerator a central hub capable of controlling connected appliances throughout the entire home. With the integration of Map View, users can monitor and control Samsung appliances and even third-party smart home devices like lights and smart plugs. There's also SmartThings Energy, which helps users track and optimize their energy consumption, facilitating greater efficiency in everyday life. The intuitive display provides users with access to a great deal of information about their home, with users also being able to issue voice commands through Bixby. The new Daily Board feature keeps everyone informed and connected. Placed at the heart of the home, the refrigerator screen delivers real-time updates throughout the day -- whether it's the morning weather and schedule before heading to work, or daily energy consumption reports in the evening. Users can also easily access their schedules through voice commands and receive tailored responses. By recognizing each family member's voice and replying accordingly, Bixby will serve as both a helpful assistant for the entire household and for each person individually. Additional family-focused features include a shared gallery for storing precious memories and a calendar to help with daily planning. Samsung's latest refrigerators also redefine entertainment in the kitchen, allowing users to stay engaged while cooking or spending time with family. With Spotify integration, users can listen to their favorite music or podcasts directly from their fridge. SmartView Mirroring enables seamless screen sharing from smartphones or Samsung TVs, and the dedicated gallery feature lets families display their favorite photos, adding a personal touch to the kitchen. The 4-Door Refrigerator is designed to meet the needs of modern households with its innovative features. The 9" AI Home applied on select models allows the refrigerator to integrate seamlessly with the smart home ecosystem. Models that incorporate Hybrid Cooling technology keep produce fresh for even longer, while also allowing extra space by utilizing a peltier module that is compact in size for cooling. By utilizing the conventional compressor and the Peltier module together, AI Hybrid Cooling is capable of providing additional cooling whenever necessary, such as when the internal temperature increases or when AI predicts a potential rise. When users put in a large amount of groceries after shopping or open the door multiple times in the summer, the Peltier module will assist the compressor to maintain a consistent internal temperature. The 4-Door Refrigerator also comes in Kitchen Fit design, allowing agile installation that requires only a tiny gap of just 4mm from the sides and 20mm from the top. Also, the refrigerator's doors have been enhanced with SpaceMaxâ„¢ insulation technology that uses less amount of high-efficiency insulation, increasing the space in the doors by 56% compared to previous models equaling 10L in capacity. Users can also enjoy convenience with the wide opening door that opens more than 90 degrees, and the food showcase to store frequently used items. The 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, launching in North America, is available in various configurations, including a 32" Family Hub and a 9" AI Home. This flexibility allows users to choose the best fit for their kitchen. The Auto Open Door feature ensures hassle-free accessibility with just a gentle tap, making it accessible to everyone in all kinds of situations to effortlessly access the inside of the fridge. It also has a Beverage Center that includes a water dispenser and a 1.4L Auto-Fill Water Pitcher that is dishwasher safe and BPA free. Apart from ensuring that fresh, filtered water is always available, the pitcher also allows users to infuse their water with fruits and herbs. The Side-by-Side Refrigerator also offers multiple screen options, including the 21.5" Family Hub and 9" AI Home. The model, featuring an Auto Open Door that opens up widely makes it simpler to reach stored items, is designed for users who prioritize easy access and organization. Select European models are equipped with Hybrid Cooling technology -- as seen in the 4-Door refrigerator -- to maintain freshness by preventing temperature fluctuations. All three types of refrigerators come with the AI Energy Mode feature, allowing users to reduce energy consumption by up to an additional 10%. Users can choose to activate the mode always or when electricity bills are expected to exceed the preset target. With these latest innovative solutions, Samsung continues to push the boundaries of the connected kitchen, transforming the refrigerator into an intelligent hub that enhances food management, smart home integration and entertainment. By seamlessly blending AI-enabled convenience with energy efficiency, Samsung is redefining how users interact with their appliances and bringing the future of the smart home to life.

Samsung's new AI smart fridge could stop you from accidentally wasting food, and I've seen it in action
Some also have AI-powered dual-cooling to keep temperatures consistent Samsung has launched a new range of smart refrigerators designed to help reduce food waste in two ways: by keeping it colder with a system that provides extra cooling when necessary, and an AI system that can identify foods that are about to expire and suggest recipes to use them up. The new fridges debuted at CES 2025, and I got to see one in action for the first time at Samsung's London KX showroom earlier this week. The tech is impressive, and not just for show - it's also practical. Other smart features include doors that can be opened with a wave of your hand or a voice command via an integrated Bixby smart speaker (ideal when you have your hands full and need to put something large on a shelf). The new set of refrigerators sport a new 9-inch screen - much smaller than the displays on most smart fridges. The display is positioned at eye level, and although compact, it means you don't need an additional screen cluttering up your kitchen. It makes a lot of sense; devices on the kitchen counter are a recipe for disaster when flour and sauces are involved. The smaller screen can do pretty much anything that one of the best smart displays can, including running apps, playing music and videos, displaying recipes, and using any smart home devices that are compatible with Samsung's SmartThings platform (take a look at our roundup of the best smart home devices for some options). You'll find the 9-inch screen on certain four-door and side-by-side refrigerators, while others will have an updated 35-inch Family Hub display. Whichever one you choose, you'll get improved food identification, which can monitor items as you put them in the fridge, and draw from a huge catalog of recipes to help you use what you already have. The system can even spot foods that are about to expire and suggest ways to use them. At the KX showroom demo, I got to see how you can use Bixby to search for recipes by both ingredients and cuisine. For example, you can use voice commands to look for Chinese recipes using tomatoes, and the fridge will display instructions for you to follow. Some of Samsung's models also have a hybrid system that adapts on the fly to boost cooling when necessary and use less power at other times. The compressor in the bottom of the fridge is supplemented by a Peltier module (a thermoelectric heat pump) in the top, which kicks in whenever extra cooling is needed (like when you've had the door open for a while to load up your weekly groceries). Together, it should help your food last longer and make it easier to use everything before it spoils - provided your budget can stand it. Prices start at £2,199 (about $2,800 / AU$4,500).

Samsung Electronics Unveils 'AI Home' Vision at Welcome to Bespoke AI Event
â–² Samsung DA held a global event to unveil its vision and new products. Samsung Electronics unveiled its refreshed "AI Home" vision and innovative appliance lineup at its global launch event, Welcome to Bespoke AI, in Seoul, Korea. With a focus on providing a more secure and intuitive user experience, the company introduced an AI Home experience, showcasing advanced AI features and a wider range of screen-enabled appliances. Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, opened the global press conference by introducing the company's vision for creating an AI Home that harmoniously connects various devices and, as a result, caters to user needs in every room of the home. "Through our Bespoke AI appliances, Samsung has brought an AI Home to life that not only enhances everyday convenience but also enables energy savings and care," said Jeong Seung Moon. "We will continue to expand the advanced AI Home to more households, leveraging smart screens, Bixby and Knox security." During the event, Samsung introduced its Bespoke AI appliances for 2025, which bring new and innovative functionalities to solve users' difficult problems. At the heart of the company's vision is the AI Home display. Built upon the innovation of the first introduction of the AI Home display last year, the AI Home with new size options has been expanded to a broad range of new products, such as Bespoke AI Refrigerators, the Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, Washers and Dryers. The 9-inch AI Home screen on the Bespoke AI Refrigerator lineup increases consumers' options by offering a similar experience to what's available on the larger AI Family Hubâ„¢ screen. With the upgraded AI Vision Inside, food management has been enhanced with new features such as automatic recognition of processed food items, for models with the AI Family Hubâ„¢ and those with the AI Home. Through the 7-inch AI Home in the Bespoke AI Laundry, users can intuitively control the washing and drying cycles, as well as monitor and control other connected devices. Moreover, the new Bespoke AI appliances bring enhanced features that adapt to consumer needs. For example, the Bespoke AI Hybrid Refrigerator utilizes AI to efficiently cool the inside of the fridge, detecting its current status and predicting internal temperature changes to effectively adapt cooling. The Bespoke AI Laundry includes new functions to enhance consumer convenience, with new standalone models that have upgraded AI Wash and AI Dry to AI Wash+ and AI Dry+, as well as models to be launched in Europe, using up to 55% less energy than class A minimum requirements for the washer. Also, Samsung unveiled the new Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, which is the first ever vented combo in its class. It significantly reduces drying time, finishing both washing and drying in 68 minutes with its Super Speed cycle. Samsung is continuing to innovate its vacuum cleaner lineup, as well. The cordless stick vacuum cleaner, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, will be launched with the world's most powerful suction power of up to 400W. The upgraded AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 classifies more diverse environments like corners and the type of carpets for improved cleaning performance. Samsung also revealed the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra. Not only is the robot vacuum cleaner designed to climb thresholds, but it is also enhanced with AI Object Recognition for complex environments, which can recognize obstacles as small as 1cm, and even transparent liquids for better cleaning results. And when it encounters corners or walls, the brush pops out, allowing it to clean areas that can be difficult for typical robot vacuum cleaners to deal with. Samsung elaborated further on its "AI Home" vision and its commitment to integrating AI across the connected experience to cater to diverse lifestyles -- through the core benefits of Easy to Use, Care and Saving. Thanks to the adoption of the AI Home display, users will find it easier than ever to engage with the full functionality of their Bespoke AI appliances. The smart screen is now an even better central control hub, even connecting third party devices through SmartThings without the need for a separate hub device. Users can also utilize features like the refrigerators' Daily Board to receive personalized information and better manage their day -- or use Map View to effortlessly monitor and control other connected devices. The upgraded Bixby allows for easier control of appliances through voice commands and enhances usability through new features like Voice ID. It personalizes services by recognizing the user's voice, automatically switching to the Samsung account of the speaker and showing their calendar on the screen. And if that person also uses the low vision option on their Galaxy smartphone, it will be automatically synced to the screen for a better viewing experience. New SmartThings services were also introduced during the event, including Family Care, which sends an alert to other family members if a user's movement is not detected at the set time -- or if there is no activity for a certain amount of time after the last activity. It is also possible to use the robot vacuum cleaner to look for signs of an emergency, with all of this functionality being tightly secured by Samsung Knox. To complete its "AI Home" vision for 2025, Samsung shone a light on how it is pushing the boundaries of innovation, prioritizing a trusted experience for users. First, Samsung will apply enhanced Knox security to devices across the lineup so that users will be able to enjoy their AI Home experience with peace of mind. This year in particular, Trust Chain, which is part of Knox Matrix, is applied to all Wi-Fi enabled appliances launching in 2025. Users can continuously monitor products' security status in real time through the dashboard. Knox Vault is also applied to home appliances for the first time, storing particularly sensitive user information, such as passwords and authentication information, in a separate hardware chip to ensure protection. Furthermore, to protect against the potential of future quantum attacks, Samsung's security is also equipped with post-quantum cryptography (PQC), a part of Knox Matrix Credential Sync, for its screen-applied products. Another key priority for Samsung is making sure that customers can use the latest software features on their existing appliances without buying new ones. With Smart Forward, the software update service through SmartThings, Samsung continuously updates its appliances with new features to enhance the consumer experience. Samsung is also actively improving product maintenance. SmartThings Home Care utilizes AI to diagnose each appliance's status, and if signs of malfunction are detected, it sends a notification in advance. In addition, a technical support representative can provide guidance on remote measures based on pre-diagnosis results. This support feature has already expanded to more countries, including France, Netherlands and Canada, following Korea and the United States. By integrating all of these wide-ranging initiatives, Samsung aims to create safer and more reliable smart home experiences that users can enjoy with comfort and peace of mind.

Samsung's new fridges can open their doors with a voice command
Samsung has revealed a selection of new refrigerators to its range of home appliances, with each of the 4-Door, 4-Door French Door and Side-by-Side models all seeing the introduction of a 9-inch AI Home screen, enforcing the "screens everywhere" approach the company detailed for its appliances at CES 2025. The 9-inch AI Home screen is designed to deliver users opting for Samsung's latest refrigerators with a range of extra functions, from being able to control SmartThings connected appliances and keep track of energy consumptions through SmartThings Energy, to keeping a family informed and connected through the Daily Board feature or streaming songs through Spotify. Recommended Videos Select 4-Door and 4-Door French Door models will also have an enhanced AI Vision Inside feature, which is an integrated camera that can recognise specific food you put in and take out of your fridge. Four more food items have been added to the list of items the fridges can distinguish, bringing the total to 37, but you can also save processed food items with names too, allowing for tailored recipe recommendations and meal planning. Ask your fridge to come up with a recipe for broccoli and lemons and it will give you some ideas - trust me, I tried it and it worked. Please enable Javascript to view this content Bixby plays a big part in the new refrigeration offering from Samsung too, with the company's voice assistant not only able to recognise the voice of different family members and reply accordingly, but you can ask it to open your fridge door and the door will fully open towards you. I tried this too and I can see a use for it when you come home from the store with your hands full. The new refrigeration range also has an Auto Open Door feature however, allowing you to tap a particular area on the door to open the fridge door if you don't want to use your voice. What other new tech do Samsung's latest fridges have? Smart features aside, and there's new Hybrid Cooling technology within the new Samsung fridges for some models too, designed to keep food fresher for longer and maximise space inside. The technology uses the conventional compressor and the Peltier module together to deliver additional cooling when the internal temperature of the fridge increases or AI predicts a potential rise, such as your routine Sunday afternoon grocery shop. Samsung hasn't revealed the price details for its new refrigeration range as yet, but we will update this story once we have those. The 4-Door Refrigerator will have the 9-inch AI Home Screen and it also comes in a Kitchen Fit design that requires just 4mm from the sides and 20mm from the top to squeeze into place. The 4-Door French Door Refrigerator meanwhile, is destined for North America and available in various configurations, including a 32-inch Family Hub and a 9-inch AI Home. The Side-by-Side Refrigerator will also come in multiple screen options, including the 21.5-inch Family Hub and 9-inch AI Home.

Samsung's latest smart appliances aim to enhance your home life
Samsung has launched additional Bespoke AI appliances for 2025. These join other products in the new lineup revealed earlier this year at CES and KBIS. Regardless of device, each product in this year's lineup emphasizes three key features: AI-enhanced convenience, better connectivity, and stylish modern designs. The first new smart home product is the Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, which claims to be the industry's first vented all-in-one washer-dryer. This innovative product eliminates the need to transfer clothes between machines. It features a 7-inch AI Home LCD touchscreen, making it easy to control cycles and settings with a drum capacity of 5.3 cu. Ft., it delivers powerful cleaning in just 68 minutes. Recommended Videos The AI Opti Wash & Dry feature automatically adjusts the settings to ensure optimal washing and drying results. For drying, the unit uses an internal heater and fan, while the Auto Open Door feature allows moisture to escape after the cycle, helping clothes to dry further. Additionally, the Flex Auto Dispense System offers convenience by automatically dispensing detergent (up to 47 loads) or a combination of detergent and softener. Samsung also introduced the new Bespoke AI Jet Ultra Cordless Stick Vacuum. Samsung's HexaJet motor boasts an impressive 400 AW of suction power, making it one of their most powerful cordless stick vacuums. This vacuum is ideal for whole-home cleaning with a remarkable battery life of up to 100 minutes. Please enable Javascript to view this content The vacuum features an LCD that allows for easy monitoring and control. It also includes AI Cleaning Mode 2.0, which intelligently adjusts the suction power and brush speed based on the cleaned floor type. A standout feature is the All-in-One Clean Station, which automatically charges the vacuum and empties the dustbin, eliminating the need for manual dirt handling. The Clean Station utilizes Air Spin Edge Technology to remove debris efficiently and traps 99.999% of fine dust particles, ensuring cleaner air in your home. Additionally, the vacuum offers built-in Wi-Fi and SmartThings connectivity for enhanced convenience. Previously announced Samsung Bespoke products for the year include refrigerators equipped with AI cameras to monitor food inventory and create grocery lists and ovens that recognize food and suggest the appropriate cooking settings. Additionally, Bespoke AI laundry combinations, front-load washers, and dryers with user-friendly AI home screen displays enhance the user interface.
