Team Group Launches T-Force GC PRO: A New Performance-Segment M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD
Team Group has unveiled the T-Force GC PRO, its latest performance-segment M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD. This new addition is distinct from the previously launched T-Force GE PRO in January 2024, despite their similar appearance. The T-Force GC PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD is available in 2TB and 4TB capacities and supports the NVMe 2.0 protocol, offering sequential read and write speeds of up to 12,500MB/s and 11,000MB/s, respectively. The T-Force GC PRO features advanced Security Isolation, which safeguards data from external malicious attacks. It incorporates the enhanced 4K Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) technology, significantly extending the SSD's lifespan and improving both security and durability. The device is equipped with Team Group's patented graphene heat spreader, providing effective cooling to maintain stable system operation. Users can monitor the SSD's performance and quality through the S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software. The GC PRO employs a high-speed interface, reinforced with advanced security and durability technologies, making it suitable for gamers and AI storage applications. This design meets the high standards expected by consumers for hardware equipment. The GC PRO is powered by the InnoGrit "Tacoma" IG5666 controller, similar to the GE PRO, but with slightly reduced speeds. Available in 2TB and 4TB variants, it offers maximum sequential read speeds of 12,500MB/s and write speeds of 11,000MB/s. In comparison, the GE PRO achieves 14,000MB/s maximum sequential reads with the same 11,000MB/s writes. The GC PRO is designed to be a more cost-effective option, positioning it against pre-Max14um Phison-powered SSD models. Both the 2TB and 4TB models provide identical sequential transfer speeds but differ in endurance, with 1,200 TBW and 2,400 TBW, respectively. While the manufacturer recommends using a heatsink, the drive is equipped with a graphene-coated metal-foil heat spreader. Pricing details have not been disclosed, but the drives come with a 5-year warranty.
