Verizon Perk Cuts Google One AI Premium Cost in Half: Here's What It Includes
(Credit: Thomas Fuller/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images) If you're a Verizon customer who needs some extra storage or is eager to try out Google's AI, the carrier is offering a Google One AI Premium add-on. Starting Feb. 6, Verizon customers can add Google One AI Premium to a myPlan (mobile) or myHome (internet) plan for $10 per month -- 50% less than the regular price of $19.99. The offer is valid for existing and new customers, but it is limited to one line per plan. With the Google One AI Premium subscription, you get access to Gemini Advanced, which lets you summon the AI assistant anytime from a Google Workspace app like Gmail, Docs, Meet, Slides, or Sheets. Click the star-like Gemini button and ask the assistant to create drafts, plan projects, generate images, or take notes in a meeting. On Google Drive, you can drag and drop a folder to the Gemini sidebar to find the type of files it houses. Gemini Advanced also provides access to AI agents like "Deep Research," which can conduct hours of research in minutes and prepare a detailed report with citations to sources. This being a Google One plan, you also get 2TB of cloud storage across a Google account. Verizon will also allow users to include Google's recent YouTube Premium add-on with Google One AI Premium. When combined, users can save up to $13.98 per month, Verizon says. The carrier also offers the Disney Bundle and Netflix & Max (with ads).

The perk costs $10 per month instead of the AI subscription's full $20 price. Verizon's myPlan wireless and myHome internet subscriptions allow users to choose from a selection of , which include Netflix & Max with ads, a Disney bundle, a Walmart+ membership and numerous others. Another one is ; this time, it's a Google One AI Premium subscription for $10 monthly instead of $20. The Google One AI Premium perk functions the same as the original one aside from the 50 percent discount. It includes access to , which is capable of summarizing more information and performing "Deep Research." Google says Deep Research can use Gemini to go through 1,500 pages of information and prepare a report for you within minutes. You can also now use Gemini in Google Docs and Gmail. As the cherry on top, there's 2TB of Google One cloud storage and a handful of other benefits like the ability to share that storage with your family and a recurring 10 percent back from any purchase on the Google Store. Verizon customers can select Google One AI Premium as their perk for their plans starting February 6. This applies to new and existing customers, as perks can be swapped. It's worth noting that if you don't care about Gemini, Google has long offered 2TB of Drive storage for $10 a month or $100 a year.

Verizon offering epic deal on Google One AI Premium for 50% off
Verizon today announced the addition of Google One AI Premium into its myPlan and myHome offerings, marking the first instance of a U.S. wireless provider incorporating an AI-powered perk into its services. Starting February 6, Verizon customers can add this feature to their plans for an additional $10 per month, a discount from the standard $19.99 monthly fee for Google One AI Premium. Users who take advantage of the new feature will receive access to Gemini Advanced, Google's latest AI assistant. Because Gemini integrates so seamlessly within Google's suite of apps, users can use the AI in nearly every application. From writing support within Gmail and Google Docs to taking notes in Meet, creating presentation in Slides, and staying organized in Sheets, Gemini Advanced assists users in a number of ways. Additionally, subscribers receive 2 TB of cloud storage, ensuring ample space for files, photos, and videos. Sowmyanarayan Sampath, CEO of Verizon Consumer, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, stating, "As the first U.S. wireless provider to offer an AI-powered perk at an incredible value, we're putting the future of AI directly into our customers' hands, making everyday tasks easier via Google One AI Premium." Beyond the core features, Google One AI Premium also offers tools like Deep Research, enabling users to analyze extensive documents and generate comprehensive reports swiftly. The service allows the creation of custom AI experts, or "Gems," tailored to specific topics, serving as personal brainstorming partners, study helpers, or planning assistants. To add Google One AI Premium to their plan, Verizon customers can log into the My Verizon app or visit the company's website. For those not currently subscribed to Verizon, a free trial is available, providing an opportunity to experience the new offerings firsthand. This move mirrors the trial offer Google typically offers for Premium One. Google One AI Premium is an add-on available to the best Verizon phone plans, including Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate. Those plans range from $65 to $90 for a single line of unlimited data. Other $10 add-ons include Disney bundle subscriptions, travel passes for overseas data use and other streaming packages. As someone who has tested Gemini Advanced and has a subscription, I have to say this is an incredible deal -- you get access to one of the leading AI assistants at a fraction of the price. Gemini Advanced excels in complex reasoning, coding assistance, and image generation. You can upload multiple files directly from your Verizon devices or via Google Drive for summarization and in-depth analysis. This collaboration between Verizon and Google not only makes AI tools more accessible to a broader audience but also highlights the growing trend of integrating advanced technology into everyday consumer services.

Verizon will let you add Google One AI Premium for $10/month
Verizon is going to start offering access to Gemini Advanced with Google One AI Premium as part of it's monthly bundles. Google's AI suite will come as an add-on to home and internet plans for just $10/month. Verizon announced that Google One AI Premium would now come as an add-on to its existing plans for $10/month. That add-on gives users access to the service and all of its benefits. According to Verizon, this offer is good for both home and mobile plans and comes as a discounted way to access the suite. Google's AI offerings have been a solid add for users, though its best models come at a price. Users can get access to Google One AI Premium with Gemini Advanced for $20/month, which includes access to the newest experimental models, an extra 2TB of storage, and integration into apps like Gmail and Docs. That offer is great if you find yourself using Google's AI throughout your day. It also extends to other Google apps with added storage, which means more photos can be saved in original quality and more files can be stored in Drive. Verizon's addition of Google AI means those features come down in price for existing customers. Verizon's offering is a nice way for customers who are already signed up for a plan to add Google's AI for half the original price. Verizon will also continue to offer other perks, like the Disney+ and Hulu bundle. Verizon touts itself as the "first U.S. wireless provider to offer an AI-powered perk," so it'll be interesting to see how Google AI and other models find themselves in carriers' arms going forward.

Verizon Lets You Add Google One's 2TB AI Plan for 50% Off What...
We may earn a commission when you click links to retailers and purchase goods. More info. As a part of its myPlan set of plans that were introduced back in 2023, Verizon also launched its new perks system. This system would rip away the included plan freebies that Verizon customers loved, like the Disney Bundle, and asked you instead to pay $10 per month for each. It was sold as a customizable system that could be great for customers, but I think you and I know the reason it exists. Fast forward to today and while we still don't love myPlan or the perks system, Verizon has tried to grow the list of available perks by making that $10 cover services that would typically cost much more. For example, this week they plan to introduce the Google One AI Premium as a new perk and it'll be 50% off if you add it to your plan vs. buying it directly from Google. Google One AI Premium is Google's $20/mo 2TB storage plan that also gives you access to Gemini Advanced, it's higher-tier AI model. At $10/mo through Verizon, this actually seems like a really good deal. Even if you don't care about having access to Gemini Advanced, getting 2TB of Google storage for $10 is a steal. You all know that you are going to fill up your free Gmail storage before long if you haven't already. If anything, your Google Photos account will thank you, since it uses this 2TB too. Verizon says the new Google One AI Premium perk launches February 6. If you are with Verizon and on a myPlan and also want Google One storage, this might be one to jump on.
