Brand Engagement Network Inc. (BEN), a leader in AI-powered customer engagement solutions, has announced the termination of its Exclusive Reseller Agreement with AFG Companies, Inc. (AFG). This decision comes alongside the filing of a lawsuit against AFG and its CEO, Ralph Wright Brewer III, in the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division 12.

The lawsuit alleges fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of contract, and the concealment of a ransomware attack on AFG's network shortly before the agreement was executed. BEN's CEO, Paul Chang, stated, "We believe AFG's actions significantly disrupted our efforts to modernize dealership operations" 1.

Impact on BEN's Automotive Initiatives

The agreement, signed in August 2023, was intended to accelerate BEN's entry into the automotive market. However, AFG's failure to provide access to the agreed-upon operational-ready data platform hindered BEN's ability to deliver its AI solutions to dealerships 12.

Despite this setback, BEN is moving forward with its automotive sector plans:

  1. Preparing to launch its Automotive AI Agent in 2025
  2. Integrating with major automotive data and service platform providers
  3. Supporting over 13,000 dealerships nationwide
  4. Expanding through pilot programs in the Midwest
  5. Strengthening reseller partnerships in Mexico
  6. Collaborating with Canadian dealership groups 12

AI Healthcare Solutions Expansion

Parallel to its automotive initiatives, BEN continues to expand its AI healthcare solutions. These are designed to transform patient engagement and streamline communications while adhering to key regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 Type 1, and CCPA 12.

Walid Khiari, BEN's CFO and COO, emphasized the company's commitment to data security and trust in the automotive industry. He stated, "The termination of this Agreement underscores our zero tolerance for actions that undermine trust" 1.

Chang assured that BEN's systems, data, and customers were never impacted by the ransomware attack on AFG, as it occurred before any integration would have taken place 12.
