Google's more affordable AI Plus plan rolls out to all markets, including the U.S.
Google on Tuesday announced its more affordable Google AI Plus plan is now available in all markets where its AI plans are available. This includes the U.S, where it will cost $7.99 per month. The expansion brings the lower-cost plan to 35 new countries and territories, after earlier launches in dozens of global markets, which began with Indonesia last September. The plan includes access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, Flow's AI filmmaking tools, research and writing assistance in NotebookLM, and more. It also offers 200GB of storage and the ability to share your plan benefits with up to five other family members. Existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will automatically gain access to all Google AI Plus plan benefits over the next few days, the company says. Initially focused on emerging markets, the Google AI Plus plan is designed as the first step beyond free access to Gemini and other AI tools for those who either don't need or can't afford to subscribe to the more expensive Google AI Pro plan, which is typically priced at $20 per month. While the Plus plan's price point varies by region, its $8 per month price point could introduce a new, more casual audience to Google's AI technology here in the United States. Elsewhere, the plan tends to cost less than $5 per month. For instance, users in India pay ₹399 ($4.44 USD) per month. When it first debuted, Google explained that the plan was designed to bring access to Gemini, Veo, and other creative AI tools to emerging markets at a more affordable price point. It's also designed to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT Go plan, which is $8 per month in the U.S., or less in some emerging markets. These plans are meant to attract the large online population of users who could become regular AI customers over time, giving companies a boost in their AI adoption numbers. For the time being, subscribers can take 50% off for the first two months of their subscription in a promotional offering, Google says.

Google's $8 AI Plus Plan Is Now Available in the US: Here's Everything It Unlocks
Google's more affordable AI Plus plan is now available in the US. At $7.99 a month, the AI Plus plan raises usage limits for advanced Gemini features and increases cloud storage from 15GB on the free plan to 200GB. For a limited time, users can get 50% off the subscription for the first two months. The AI perks start with higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and NotebookLM. You also get 200 monthly credits for video generation with Flow and Whisk, which is twice as many as the free plan. Generating a video using Google's Veo 3 or 3.1 model typically requires 20 credits. For more free credits, you can choose the $20 AI Pro plan (1,000 credits) or the $250 AI Ultra plan (25,000 credits). The AI Plus plan also unlocks access to Gemini in Chrome as well as in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and more. With the latter, Gemini becomes available in the sidebar and can help with the file you're working on. Previously, this feature required at least the AI Pro plan. The AI Plus perks will also be extended to those on a Google One Premium 2TB storage plan. They will be upgraded automatically over the next few days, Google says. Others can sign up for AI Plus from the Google One website. Google's affordable AI plan first rolled out overseas last year. It comes after OpenAI introduced a similar plan at the same price earlier this month. ChatGPT Go provides access to 10x more messages, file uploads, and image generation than the free plan.

Google AI Plus is now available in the US for $8 a month
Google AI Plus, the company's most affordable AI subscription plan, is now rolling out in the US. It will cost you $8 a month for its features, though you can get it for $4 a month for the first two months for a limited time only. AI Plus gives you access to 200GB of storage, as well as access to the Gemini 3 Pro model, Deep Research and Nano Banana Pro inside the Gemini app. Nano Banana Pro generates images that look so realistic, they're nearly indistinguishable from ordinary photos snapped on phones. Google even had to limit its usage due to high demand. A subscription to AI Plus also expands your access to Google's AI filmmaking tool Flow, its image-to-video creator tool Whisk and its research assistant tool NotebookLM. In addition to the US, the plan is now making its way to 34 more countries, making it available in all regions where Google is selling its AI services. In the US, the new option costs less than half of a $20 AI Pro subscription, which comes with 2TB of storage and access to more tools like code assist. Google's most expensive AI plan, the AI Ultra, costs a whopping $250 a month and comes with 30TB of storage, along with all the AI tools the company can offer. Take note that if you're paying for a Google One Premium 2TB subscription, you'll also get all of AI Plus' features over the next few days.

Google's best AI plan comes to the US for just $8 a month
Now Google AI Plus is available anywhere Pro and Ultra are, including the US at just $8 a month. The rise of powerful AI services has complicated modern life in more ways than one. And for a lot of us, that includes a new question we need to consider: Should I be paying for better AI? While something like Google Gemini can do a whole, whole lot for us without making us pay one extra dime, there are also people who are willing to pay a shocking amount of money for unfettered access to the best AI tools around. Between those extremes, Google's AI Plus plan emerged as a nice balance of affordability and feature set -- and now Google's making it available to Gemini users everywhere. Google subscriptions are all too easy to get confused by, with plenty of overlap between services, but when we're focusing solely on AI, most of us had just had the choice between Google AI Pro for $20 a month, or AI Ultra for $250 a month. Even for the more affordable Pro plan, that represents a significant recurring expense, and if you're not an AI die-hard, that might feel weird to commit to. But late last summer we saw Google start to refine that approach, introducing an even cheaper AI Plus plan. While usage limits were also correspondingly lower, it represented a paid offering that looked a lot more appealing to casual users. The problem was, it wasn't available in the US. Well, that's finally changing! Today Google shares that AI Plus has graduated to full availability -- anywhere you had access to those other Google AI plans, you can now choose AI Plus, as well. In the US, that means paying $8 a month, with the first two months discounted down to $4. Better still, if you were already paying for a Google One Premium 2TB plan, you're now getting AI Plus as a free bonus. Google says you should see that automatically kick in within the few days. With AI Plus, subscribers can enjoy limited access to Veo 3 video generation, credits for using Google's Flow and Whisk tools, and expanded NotebookLM support. Check out all the details on the Google One site.

If you're finding Google's free tiers just aren't cutting it for you, but you also don't want to pay $20/mo for the tech giant's Google AI Pro plan, the Mountain View, California-based company has something for you. Google just made its 'sweet spot' plan available in 35 new countries and territories, including the US. This comes roughly four months after the plan's last expansion. Google's affordable Gemini AI Plus plan reaches more markets Now available in 77 countries Posts By Rajesh Pandey Up until now, users in the US only had two main plan options to take advantage of greater access to Google's advanced AI features: * Google AI Pro: $20/month. * Google AI Ultra: $250/month. Now, with Google AI Plus finally available in the US, users have a toned-down offering that only costs $8/month. Although not comparable to AI Pro's offerings, Google AI Plus strikes the perfect balance. Everything under the hood Compared to the free tier, AI Plus offers "enhanced access" to Gemini 3 Pro, Deep Research, image generation with Nano Banana Pro, and even video generation features with limited access to Veo 3.1 Fast. Across Flow and Whisk, free users get 100 monthly credits. AI Plus users get 200 monthly credits, while AI Pro users get 1,000. The tier also guarantees access to image-to-video creation with Veo 3 in Whisk, while the free tier only offers the option to "generate and animate images." In addition to the AI-powered features in NotebookLM, the new tier also unlocks Gemini in Gmail, Vids, Chrome, and other Workspace apps (this was previously limited to AI Pro and higher users). The free tier, for reference, offers only 15GB of total cloud storage, while the $20/mo AI Pro plan offers 2TB of total cloud storage. In the US, the new plan starts at $7.99/mo. This starts with 200 GB of Google One storage for Photos, Drive, and Gmail that can be shared with five other family members, along with the other benefits. In the Gemini app, you get "enhanced access" to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and "limited access" to Veo 3.1 Fast. Google Brings Cheaper $7.99 'AI Plus' Plan to 35 Countries, Including U.S.
Google today announced that it is expanding its more affordable Google AI Plus subscription plan to 35 countries and territories, including the United States. In the U.S., Google AI Plus is priced at $7.99, giving Google Gemini users a more affordable option for accessing upgraded AI services. Prior to now, Google AI Pro was the most affordable AI subscription plan at $19.99 per month. Google AI Plus includes Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, as well as AI filmmaking tools in Flow, and access to research and writing assistance in NotebookLM. It also includes 200GB of storage, with benefits able to be shared with up to five other family members. For a limited time, Google is offering new AI Plus subscribers a 50 percent discount for the first two months of the subscription, dropping the price to $3.99. Customers will pay $3.99 for access for two months, before being charged the full $7.99 per month price. Google One Premium 2TB customers who pay $9.99 per month will automatically get access to the benefits of Google AI Plus in the coming days. Google AI Plus includes 200 monthly AI credits for video generation, which is 100 more credits than the free Google AI option. The free tier has limited access to Gemini 3 Pro, but subscribers will be able to use 3 Pro with fewer limitations, while also accessing Deep Research. The plan also offers limited access to Veo 3.1 Fast and Gemini in Chrome. The more expensive $19.99 per month Google AI Pro plan has even more benefits than the $7.99 plan. It offers a higher number of AI credits, more access to Flow and Whisk, Gemini 3 Pro in Google Search, higher daily limits for Gemini Code assist, Gemini in Google apps like Gmail and Docs, access to Google Home Premium, and 2TB storage. More information is available on Google's website.

Google brings AI Plus to the U.S. with creative tools and shared storage -- and it might be the 'just-right' AI subscription deal
Gemini features, video credits, and storage all in one middle-tier upgrade * Google's AI Plus plan is now available in the U.S. for $8 a month * AI Plus includes access to Gemini Pro and AI video tools * Subscription includes 200GB of shared storage Google has a new option if you're interested in playing with its advanced AI tools but don't want to break the bank. The company has opened access to its AI Plus subscription to 35 new countries, including the United States. Google is pitching it as an entry-level upgrade for anyone who wants more out of Gemini without going all-in on premium pricing. The new plan costs $8, and only $4 a month for the first two months, for a limited time. That's significantly cheaper than the $20 AI Pro subscription, but its feature list makes a solid case for being more than just a compromise plan. For many everyday users, it may hit the sweet spot of enough power for the budget, a space that Google seems eager to occupy as generative AI becomes more deeply embedded into daily tasks. AI Plus includes 200 GB of shared Google One storage, but it's really about the AI experience. AI Plus unlocks what Google calls "enhanced access" to Gemini 3 Pro, the company's most advanced AI chatbot model, along with the image-generating Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research for complex questions, and limited access to the AI video-making Veo 3.1 Fast model. Users also get 200 AI credits each month for Flow and Whisk, Google's video-creation platforms. Flow is designed for cinematic-style generation using Gemini and Veo, while Whisk takes static images and animates them using Veo's video engine. By comparison, the free tier throttles AI usage and doesn't include some of the other features. Even more significant for many users is how the subscription threads AI into Google's core apps. AI Plus provides Gemini features for Gmail, Docs, and Google Vids. It also expands capacity in NotebookLM. Gemini all over For anyone already paying for a Google One Premium plan at $9.99/month, there's even better news: AI Plus is being added automatically at no extra cost. That means if you're on the 2 TB tier for photo and file storage, you'll soon get all the AI bells and whistles bundled in. It's clearly also a move to get more people into the Gemini ecosystem without making them think twice about another subscription. With AI Plus, Google seems to be targeting the casual creator who might want to animate a birthday card or the student summarizing ten PDFs into one study guide. AI Plus gives users enough AI firepower to start thinking of these tools as companions rather than gimmicks. The addition of Gemini into apps like Chrome and the promise of early access to new features are all about how Google wants to make AI synonymous with Gemini. Of course, there's the question of whether most people are ready to pay for any AI yet. Unlike music or movies, AI subscriptions are still a relatively new concept for mainstream users. Most people are used to Google being free, except maybe for cloud storage. Convincing them that AI belongs in the same tier as Netflix or Disney+ might take time. Google AI Plus is live in the US, here's what you get
The subscription expands to 35 new countries and territories, adding more Gemini access plus storage and sharing perks. Google AI Plus is now available in the US, part of a rollout to 35 new countries and territories. It's live now. In the US, the plan costs $7.99 per month, and new subscribers get 50% off for the first two months for a limited time. Google says pricing varies by country elsewhere, so you'll see your local rate during sign-up. Recommended Videos Google AI Plus bundles access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, plus AI tools in Flow and NotebookLM. You also get 200GB of storage you can share with up to five family members. What you actually get Think of this as two bundles in one, model access plus everyday utilities. The Gemini side is the main draw, with paid access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app. Simple. The other half is about what you can do with it. Google calls out Flow for AI filmmaking tools and NotebookLM for research and writing help, so the plan isn't just a chat upgrade. The storage benefit matters too. That 200GB can be shared with up to five family members, which pushes the value beyond one person's usage. Why this rollout matters This expansion makes the subscription available in more places at the same time, including the US. If you've wanted a paid step up without jumping to a higher tier, Google AI Plus is now the obvious entry point. It also changes things for some people who already pay Google for storage. Google says Google One Premium 2TB subscribers in the newly added countries and territories will get Google AI Plus benefits automatically in the next few days. That's a real shift. There's one tradeoff, clarity. Google doesn't include a market-by-market list of the 35 locations in the announcement, and local pricing requires a check at checkout. What to do next If you're in the US, ask two questions. Will you use the stronger Gemini access, and will your household benefit from the extra 200GB? If you're outside the US, open the sign-up flow and confirm the local price and availability before you commit. And if you already have Google One Premium 2TB in a newly added market, keep an eye on your account over the next few days to see when the AI Plus perks switch on.

Google's Most Affordable Gemini Subscription Is Now Available Everywhere
Google has now expanded its most affordable artificial intelligence (AI) subscription globally. On Wednesday, the Mountain View-based tech giant announced that the Google AI Plus plan will be available everywhere it has a paid subscription available, rolling it out to 165 countries and territories. Interestingly, the US is in the last batch of regions to receive this plan, four months after the tech giant ran a pilot in Indonesia. India, on the other hand, gained access to the paid tier in December 2025. Google AI Plus Now Available Globally In a blog post, the tech giant announced that it is now launching the Google AI Plus plan in 35 new countries and territories, including the US, making it a standard in the company's list. The plan falls between the free tier and the Google AI Pro plan, making it the most affordable entry point to try out some of the premium Gemini features the company has to offer. In India, the subscription costs Rs. 199 for the first six months, and Rs. 399 a month thereafter. In the US, it is priced at $7.99 (roughly Rs. 734) per month; however, for a limited period, users can get 50 percent off for the first two months. The benefits include higher access to the Gemini 3 Pro AI model compared to the free tier, but less than the AI Pro and Ultra tiers. The standard Gemini AI model in the app and website has a 128K token context window. The free tier only has 32K tokens. With the Google AI Plus plan, it is now the most affordable way to generate AI video via the Veo 3 Fast model, since it is not available to the free tier users. The per-day rate limit was not revealed. Apart from this, those subscribing to this plan will have access to the Gemini side panel across Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drive. Plus, users also get access to the video creation app Flow, and the image-to-video generation app Whisk. These users also get 200GB of cloud storage across Drive, the Photos app, and Gmail.

The AI subscription plan offers access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, 200GB of cloud storage, and integration with Workspace apps—positioning itself as a middle ground between free access and the $20 AI Pro tier. . Priced at $7.99 per month in the United States, the AI subscription plan fills a crucial gap between Google's free tier and its premium $20-per-month AI Pro offering2
. The expansion marks a strategic shift for Google, which initially launched the plan in Indonesia last September with a focus on emerging markets before bringing it to developed economies1

The timing of this rollout is significant. Google is positioning itself to compete directly with OpenAI's ChatGPT Go plan, which also costs $8 per month in the US
1
. Both companies recognize that casual users—those who want more than free access but aren't ready to commit to premium pricing—represent a massive growth opportunity for AI adoption. As an introductory offer, Google is providing 50% off for the first two months, bringing the cost down to approximately $4 per month3
.Subscribers to the affordable AI Plus plan gain enhanced access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro within the Gemini app
2
. Nano Banana Pro, Google's image generation tool, creates photorealistic images that are nearly indistinguishable from actual photographs—a feature so popular that Google had to limit its usage due to high demand3
. The plan also includes access to Deep Research and NotebookLM, Google's research assistant tool that helps with writing and research tasks1

For video generation and creative work, AI Plus subscribers receive 200 monthly credits to use across Flow and Whisk—double the 100 credits offered in the free tier
5
. These AI filmmaking tools allow users to create videos using Google's Veo 3 and Veo 3.1 models, with each video typically requiring 20 credits to generate2
. The plan also guarantees access to image-to-video creation with Veo 3 in Whisk, while free tier users only have the option to generate and animate images5
.Beyond AI features, the plan includes 200GB of cloud storage—a substantial upgrade from the 15GB available on the free tier
3
. This storage applies across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail, making it attractive for users who need both AI capabilities and additional space5
. Subscribers can also share their plan benefits with up to five family members, extending the value across households1
.A key feature previously reserved for higher tiers is now available in the US through AI Plus: integration with Workspace apps
5
. Subscribers gain access to Gemini in Chrome, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Vids, where the AI assistant appears in the sidebar to help with active files2
. This functionality was previously limited to AI Pro subscribers paying $20 per month, making it a significant value addition for the mid-tier plan.Related Stories
Existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will automatically receive all AI Plus benefits over the next few days at no additional cost
1
. This automatic upgrade rewards loyal customers while introducing them to Google's AI subscription plan ecosystem. The pricing strategy varies by region—in India, for example, the plan costs ₹399 (approximately $4.44 USD) per month, reflecting local purchasing power1
.The expansion signals Google's intent to capture casual AI users before they commit to competing platforms. By offering a price point that matches ChatGPT Go while providing additional benefits like substantial cloud storage and family sharing, Google is betting that bundled value will attract users who want more than basic AI access but don't need the full capabilities of the $20 AI Pro plan or the $250 AI Ultra plan
4
. For users watching the AI subscription landscape, the key question becomes whether these mid-tier plans will expand their feature sets over time or if they'll remain deliberately constrained to push power users toward premium options.
