Google Pixel 9 Pro series price leaked ahead of August 13th launch
Pixel 9 series could feature AI goodies like Add Me and Pixel Screenshots. Google is known to have a tough time keeping its upcoming products a secret. While almost everything about the new Pixel lineup is leaked, rumoured, or officially announced, a new listing reveals the supposed prices for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The leaked prices suggest the new phones could be more expensive than their predecessors. Here's how: A Google Pixel subreddit user with the handle @5XDylanBISHF shared a screenshot of T-Mobile's Pixel 9 Pro series listing on Google.com. As per it, the Pixel 9 Pro will cost $999.99 (about Rs 83,934.16) and the Pixel 9 Pro XL (256GB) will start at $1,199.99 (about Rs 1,00,721.16). We believe these are the starting prices. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 launched in the US at $699 (about Rs 58,670.57), and the Pixel 8 Pro started at $999 (about Rs 83,851.07) The Pixel 9 Pro price would seem just $0.99 higher, but from the leaks and rumours, we have learned the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be hardware-wise a successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. If that's the case, the Pixel 9 Pro XL could be $200.99 more expensive than its spiritual successor. The Pixel 9 Pro would sit in between the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Take the following spec table for reference:

Pixel 9 Pro XL to start at $1,099 as more leaks confirm specs and AI features
Google's upcoming Pixel 9 series has already leaked in great detail, but the leaks just keep coming, this time with a reliable source offering a starting price for the Pixel 9 Pro XL as well as a list of specs and features. Just yesterday a leak in Google Search of all places, stemming from T-Mobile, revealed a few details about the price of the Pixel 9 Pro duo. The Pixel 9 Pro, the smaller device, was listed for $999 while the Pixel 9 Pro XL was listed at $1,199. But it was important to note that the price mentioned for the XL was attached to a 256GB model. Now, @MysteryLupin is revealing the starting price of the 128GB Pixel 9 Pro XL and, as expected, it's $1,099. The post on Twitter/X goes on to reiterate the Pixel 9 Pro XL's specs, including 128GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, Tensor G4, a 6.8-inch display which apparently can hit 3,000 nits (higher than past leaks have mentioned), Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and a tweaked camera setup with a 42MP selfie camera, 50MP main camera, and a pair of 48MP sensors for ultrawide and telephoto. It's also mentioned that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will ship with Android 14, but get Android 15 soon, in line with previous rumors. There's further mention of a 1TB storage variant for the XL, which would be the highest amount of storage Google has ever offered on a Pixel. In a separate post, @MysterLupin breaks down Google's new AI features, some of which we've already heard about. They include "Pixel Studio," an AI image generator and "Reimagine" which can "transform" objects in a photo into something new. The new Weather app is mentioned, this time with AI summaries that include "outfit tips." And, finally, the "Pixel Screenshots" functionality that leaked previously is mentioned again, this time with the ability to "find screenshots using natural language search." Google is set to fully unveil the Pixel 9 series and other devices at an event on August 13, so we're just a few short days away from the full reveal on all of this. What do you think of the Pixel 9 Pro XL's starting price?

Recent leaks have shed light on the potential pricing of Google's upcoming Pixel 9 Pro series. According to sources, the Pixel 9 Pro is expected to be priced at $999, while the newly introduced Pixel 9 Pro XL model may come with a higher price tag of $1,099 1. This pricing strategy positions the devices in the premium smartphone segment, competing directly with offerings from Apple and Samsung.
Google appears to be expanding its flagship lineup with the introduction of the Pixel 9 Pro XL. This larger model is set to replace the previous "Pro" designation, potentially offering enhanced features and a larger display to justify its higher price point 2. The addition of a Pro XL variant suggests Google's intent to cater to users who prefer larger devices with top-tier specifications.
While detailed specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, leaks suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro series will feature significant upgrades. The devices are expected to be powered by Google's next-generation Tensor chip, likely the Tensor G4, which promises improved performance and energy efficiency 3. Additionally, enhancements in camera capabilities, display technology, and overall build quality are anticipated.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Pixel 9 Pro series is the rumored focus on artificial intelligence. Google is expected to leverage its expertise in AI to introduce groundbreaking features that could set the devices apart from competitors. These may include advanced natural language processing, improved voice recognition, and enhanced computational photography capabilities 2.
The leaked pricing information positions the Pixel 9 Pro series in direct competition with high-end smartphones from other manufacturers. At $999 for the Pro model and $1,099 for the Pro XL, Google is signaling its confidence in the devices' premium features and capabilities 4. This pricing strategy may also indicate Google's ambition to capture a larger share of the premium smartphone market.
While the exact release date for the Pixel 9 Pro series remains unconfirmed, industry speculation suggests a potential launch in the latter half of the year, possibly around October. As the release date approaches, more concrete information about specifications, features, and regional availability is expected to emerge.
