New Ironheart Trailer Unveils Magic Suit And New J.A.R.V.I.S. For Riri Williams
Marvel's upcoming miniseries Ironheart may only have six episodes, but its latest trailer proves it's going to pack in all of the magic and machinery it can. In a newly released trailer, we not only get to see Riri Williams' latest suit, but we also see her unique take on an Iron Man favorite. The show's first trailer laid out almost everything we needed to know about the upcoming season. We saw Williams (Dominique Thorne) proving her genius to Parker "The Hood" Robbins (Anthony Ramos) in a life-threatening test, we heard her coyly describe her time in Wakanda during Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as "an internship abroad," and we also got a look at some of the cool suits she'll be piloting. This new trailer is shorter but reveals two major additions: a magic-infused suit and her own spin on Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. After hearing Williams say she needs to think outside the box, we see a crimson-colored explosion of the same magical sigils we've seen sorcerers like Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) wield. We later get a glimpse of someone actually drawing those symbols and of Williams inside a suit that gets ensconced in those sigils. We don't know yet who introduces her to this magic, but I'm praying to the MCU gods that somehow Wanda makes a surprise return to give our new iron-clad hero a lesson in multiversal magic. Another cool part of the trailer is Williams building her own version of J.A.R.V.I.S. in the likeness of her best friend, played by This Is Us actress Lyric Ross. Since Ross's character is memorialized in a mural with Williams's late father, it's safe to assume she's dead and that this is Williams's way of keeping her memory alive, whether she did so consciously or subconsciously. In the comics, Ross's character is named Natalie, and her AI counterpart is dubbed N.A.T.A.L.I.E. This, and the profound quote from Williams's father about taking something apart to really know what it's made of, provides Ironheart the emotional core that gives its fantastical action human stakes. Ironheart will have a three-episode world premiere on June 24 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Disney+.

Tech and magic combine in the new trailer for Marvel's Ironheart
While she's not Iron Man's successor, Ironheart does share a lot of similarities with the former hero. Riri Williams likes to take machines apart, and is smart enough to put them back together, just better than they were originally. She designed her own suit, and wants to use it to protect people. In the new trailer for Marvel's Ironheart, we see Williams begin her hero's journey proper, learning that she's going to have to take herself apart to find out who she really is. Not in a literal sense, of course, but she's basically going back to the drawing board. From there, she appears to get her best ideas. Combining tech and magic looks like it's on the cards for Williams when Ironheart premieres, and she also makes her own Jarvis-like AI. Unlike Jarvis, though, this creation doesn't seem like she'll be taking on the butler role. Check out the trailer below:

Ironheart Trailer Reveals Magic-Infused Iron Man Suit, Sparking Fresh Speculation Marvel Will Finally Introduce Mephisto - IGN
Marvel has dropped a new trailer for upcoming Disney+ show Ironheart that reveals a magic-powered Iron Man-style suit for heroine Riri Williams. The teaser also showcases a couple of allies for Williams (Dominique Thorne), including Riri's late friend Natalie (This Is Us' Lyric Ross) who the inventor brings back as an AI hologram, and a character played by Solo: A Star Wars Story's Alden Ehrenreich. But the trailer's biggest reveal is Williams crafting a new Iron Man suit that fuses her own technological genius with the kind of magic we've previously only seen wielded by witches and wizards like Wanda Maximoff and Doctor Strange. And it's this reveal that has now reignited long-standing rumors of Ironheart finally being the place we first see the MCU's version of Mephisto. If it feels like Ironheart has been a while coming, well, that's because it has. First announced by Marvel in 2020 as a spin-off from the then-upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the series was shot in 2022 and has been sat waiting for release ever since. While not part of Ironheart's officially-announced cast, multiple reports from Deadline in late 2022 claimed that Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen had filmed for the series in a secret role, believed to be that of fan-favourite comic book villain Mephisto. So far, however, Mephisto has been kept under wraps -- but the show's blending of technology and magic has long hinted at something more fantastical bubbling under its MIT-set surface. Indeed, earlier looks at Ironheart have focused on Williams' relationship with Parker "The Hood" Robbins (Hamilton's Anthony Ramos), another familiar character from Marvel comics who looks set to act as her gateway to magic use. Comic book fans will know The Hood as a villainous criminal, with superpowers gained from wearing a magical, well, hood. Fans suspect Robbins' relationship with Williams to deteriorate throughout the series, turning him from ally to adversary, perhaps through continued temptation by a greater magical power. Who could this be? Well, all fingers point to Mephisto, a character who has long been expected to turn up in the MCU, as far back as celebrated Disney+ series Wandavision. In the comics, The Hood gets similar powers from Dormammu, the demonic entity already seen within the MCU during the first Doctor Strange movie. But the sense here is that Marvel has not cast Baron Cohen to take on the mantle of that character -- and instead, Dormammu's role will be taken by another devilish foe. Also, Mephisto likes hanging around in his underpants, which would fit with the Borat star. Ironheart debuts with its first three episodes available via Disney+ in just a couple of weeks, on June 24, 2025.

One of the most intriguing revelations from the trailer is Williams' creation of her own AI assistant, reminiscent of Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. However, Riri's version takes a more personal approach. The AI is modeled after her late best friend, played by Lyric Ross, known for her role in "This Is Us" 1. This AI, potentially named N.A.T.A.L.I.E., serves as both a technological marvel and an emotional anchor for the young inventor 12.

The trailer showcases Williams' innovative approach to superhero tech by unveiling a suit that incorporates magical elements. Viewers are treated to glimpses of crimson-colored magical sigils, reminiscent of those used by Dr. Strange and Wanda Maximoff, enveloping Riri's suit 1. This fusion of technology and magic represents a significant departure from traditional Iron Man-style armor and hints at the series' exploration of multiversal concepts 3.
The introduction of magical elements has reignited speculation about the potential appearance of Mephisto, a long-anticipated villain in the MCU. While not officially confirmed, reports suggest that Sacha Baron Cohen may have filmed scenes for the series in a secret role, believed by many to be Mephisto 3.
Additionally, the trailer provides insight into Williams' relationship with Parker "The Hood" Robbins, played by Anthony Ramos. In the comics, The Hood gains powers from magical artifacts, suggesting that he may serve as Williams' introduction to the world of magic 3.

"Ironheart" is scheduled for a three-episode world premiere on June 24, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET on Disney+ 1. The six-episode miniseries promises to delve deep into Williams' journey as she balances her genius intellect with the challenges of becoming a superhero 2.
As Williams says in the trailer, she needs to "think outside the box," and it appears that "Ironheart" is doing just that by combining cutting-edge AI, magical elements, and emotional storytelling to create a unique entry in the Marvel universe 123.
