MaxSun's tweaked ARL-HX Micro Station: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX + dual Arc PRO B60 24GB GPUs
TL;DR: MaxSun's ARL-HX Micro Station is a compact AI workstation featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, dual PCIe Gen5 Arc PRO B60 GPUs with 48GB VRAM, up to 256GB DDR5 memory, Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7, and advanced cooling in a 20L metal chassis, optimized for high-performance AI workloads. MaxSun has just introduced its new ARL-HX Micro Station, a new mini AI workstation machine packed with all-Intel hardware, including an Arrow Lake-S processor and dual Arc PRO GPUs. The new MaxSun ARL-HX Micro Station features an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (24 cores @ up to 5.4GHz), dual PCIe Gen5 GPU support -- with up to 2 x Arc PRO B60 AI GPUs with 24GB VRAM each -- up to 256GB of DDR5 which is overclockable to 7200MT/s, Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, alongside SlimSAS + PCIe x4 + 10GbE ethernet, and Wi-Fi 7. This all fits into a 20L compact, purpose-built AI workstation system that sports a full metal chassis, with MaxSun designing the case with a bunch of potential for cooling. We have vents and mesh grills on the front and sides of the ARL-HX Micro Station, with independent thermal chambers for the CPU and GPUs, making sure each component inside gets enough cooling when under maximum loads (especially in AI workloads). You can even install a standard ATX power supply inside of the MaxSun ARL-HX Micro Station. On the CPU side of things we've got the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX desktop-grade mobile processor, rocking 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores, with up to 5.4GHz CPU boost and a maximum TDP of 160W, with the CPU soldered onto the MoTD motherboard inside. MaxSun supports up to 256GB of SO-DIMM DDR5 memory (4 x 64GB sticks) at up to 7200MT/s OC speeds. MaxSun is using an interesting T-shaped design for its motherboard, with enhanced wiring supporting the larger OC speeds on the RAM. The ARL-HX Micro Station can support dual PCIe Gen5 slots, supporting dual graphics cards (each a dual-slot design) or a single GeForce RTX 5090 in a 3-slot design. In its default configuration, the ARL-HX Micro Station will be powered by dual Intel Arc PRO B60 graphics cards, each with 24GB of VRAM for a total of 48GB of VRAM for AI workloads. MaxSun also has its own dual Arc PRO B60 with 48GB, so it would be cool to see dual Arc PRO B60 cards with up to 96GB of VRAM inside of this Micro Station system. On the connectivity side MaxSun has you covered with 4 x Thunderbolt ports (2 x TB5 and 2 x TB4), a 10GbE + 2.5GbE LAN configuration, Wi-Fi 7 and plenty of USB ports on the front and rear to house everything you want to plug into the ARL-HX Micro Station. Maxsun Unleashes The ARL-HX Mini Station: Compact AI Workstation With Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, Dual Arc PRO B60 24 GB GPUs, 256 GB DDR5 Memory Support
Maxsun has introduced its brand new ARL-HX Mini Workstation AI PC, featuring Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU & Arc Pro B60 GPU. Maxsun Unveils a Powerful & Compact AI Workstation, The ARL-HX Mini Station: Equipped With Dual Arc PRO B60 24 GB GPUs, 256 GB Memory & Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, All For Under $2800 US Today, Maxsun sent us an announcement of its brand new product, the ARL-HX Mini Station. This PC was revealed a few months ago, but now, Maxsun is going in for the formal unveiling. The positioning of this Mini PC is within the AI Workstation market, and it happens to be one of the most powerful designs in such a compact space. A powerful 20L compact system purpose-built for AI professionals: * Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (24 cores, up to 5.4GHz) * Dual PCIe Gen5 GPU support - accelerate your AI workflows * 4x 64GB DDR5 up to 7200MT/s (OC) - massive bandwidth * Thunderbolt 5 + M.2 + SlimSAS +PCIe x4 + 10G LAN + Wi-Fi 7 * Independent CPU & GPU thermal chambers - cool under pressure Starting with the design, the Maxsun ARL-HX Mini Station makes use of a full metal chassis, which has been designed with lots of cooling potential. The chassis includes vents and mesh grills on the front & sides, while the independent thermal chambers for the CPU and the GPU make sure that each hardware component gets adequate cooling. The chassis also supports standard ATX power supplies, which is a big plus. For the internals, Maxsun has gone with Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX, a desktop-grade mobility chip, with a total of 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores. This chip operates at up to 5.4 GHz with a maximum TDP of 160W. The chip is a soldered design that is featured on a MoTD motherboard. There's support for up to 256 GB SO-DIMM DDR5 memory with up to 7200 MT/s OC speeds. Maxsun states that they have designed the board for the ARL-HX Mini Station with an innovative T-Shaped design with enhanced wiring to support the OC speeds. It will be interesting to see if this MoTD option is sold separately. For the GPU, Maxsun has integrated dual PCIe Gen5 slots on the ARL-HX Mini Station. This allows for two individual graphics cards (each up to 2 slots) or a single RTX 5090 (3 slots). In its default configuration, the Mini PC will be equipped with two Intel Arc PRO B60 graphics cards, each with 24 GB VRAM, for a total of 48 GB VRAM for AI Workloads. Maxsun also has a dual Arc PRO B60 48 GB graphics card, so it will be very interesting to see if that is also supported by the chassis. Besides the main components, you are also getting some high-end IO capabilities such as four Thunderbolt ports (2 TB5 + 2 TB4), a 10G LAN + 2.5G LAN with WIFI7 integration. Finally, we have the storage side where the ARL-HX Mini Station is positioned as a SlimSAS product, offering 3 M.2 slots, 2 SFF 8654-4i ports with 8x SATA interfaces, and a single PCIe x4 slot. There are also two DP-In ports with four Type-A ports on the front and 4 Type-A ports on the back. As for launch, the Maxsun ARL-HX Mini Station is expected to be shipped in September 2025 with a base price of close to $2800 US. The Mini PC is perfect for running LLMs up to 671B with its large 256 GB memory pool and 70B models on the Arc GPUs. It is also optimized for Qwen-32B models on DeepSeek.
