motorola edge 60 neo with 6.4'' 1.5K 120Hz pOLED display, military-grade durability, IP69 ratings announced
motorola just introduced the edge 60 neo, the company's latest smartphone in the edge series, as the successor to last year's edge 50 neo. It retains the 6.4-inch flat pOLED 120Hz LTPO display with 1.5K resolution up to 3000 nits peak brightness, but this is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC with 12GB of RAM. It runs Android 15 and should get 5 OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates, similar to the predecessor. This gets IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistant and has MIL-810H standard for military-grade durability. The phone retains the 50MP rear camera with Sony LYT-700C sensor, 13MP 120° ultra-wide camera with macro option, a 10MP telephoto camera and a 32MP front camera. For video, Adaptive Stabilization is available to help keep shots steady. The phone's portrait mode offers a choice of four focal lengths and includes a "Dynamic Bokeh" effect with six adjustable intensity levels. The camera system can record videos in 4K resolution. However, the battery size has been increased to 5000mAh compared to 4310mAh in the predecessor. It retains 68W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless charging. The device incorporates moto ai, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform. The AI powers the Photo Enhancement Engine, which works to improve photo quality by blending exposures and refining details. Users can also apply a preset "Signature Style" to their photos, which is tuned by AI and professional photographers. Beyond photography, moto ai is integrated throughout the device. The "Next Move" feature recognizes content on the screen, such as a recipe or itinerary, and suggests next steps. Other generative AI tools, such as "Image Studio," allow users to create images, avatars, and stickers. The device also supports other integrated AI agents, giving users a choice in which assistant they use for different tasks. The motorola edge 60 neo comes in PANTONE Latte, PANTONE Frostbite, PANTONE Poinciana and PANTONE Grisaille colours and is priced at 399 Euros (USD 465 / Rs. 41,145 approx.). It will roll out in Europe first, starting this month, with other markets including India soon.
