OnePlus' OxygenOS will soon get more integration between Gemini and proprietary apps as part of a bigger AI push. Google recently began rolling out Gemini Live's screen sharing and camera mode to all Android users, so long as they were using a compatible device. The function allows both screen and live video to be shared with the AI model while you converse in real time. This comes as part of Google's larger Gemini package, with integration that usually comes in the Pixel lineup. According to OnePlus, OxygenOS will soon get a pretty big Gemini upgrade. For starters, Google Gemini will run a little deeper and work with the OnePlus Notes and Clock app. It sounds like a small change, but this change will allow Gemini to recognize commands and turn them into action, like creating notes based on online videos. Gemini Live is also available in OxygenOS with its camera and screen sharing function. The feature works similarly to how it does on the Pixel series, with an option to either share the display on your device or the camera. Both will activate Gemini Live's conversation mode. This comes as part of a larger AI push that positions devices with OxygenOS to be more useful and productive beyond Gemini. OnePlus doesn't go into further detail about timing for the expanded Gemini integration. The company notes that the changes will be "coming soon."
