Ray Ban's Meta Smart Glasses Just Got $60 Cheaper Thanks to Cyber Monday
The era of smart glasses is upon us and the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are arguably the best pair of smart glasses right now. My colleague Sagnik had an extremely positive experience using them when he tried Ray Ban Meta Smart Glasses, and now it's time for me to drool over the Cyber Monday deal which puts them at 25% off. The Shiny Black variant of the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Wayfarer is now available for $239, a notable $60 off. The glasses come with Meta AI and 12 MP cameras and are overall a great purchase for the price. If you're someone who loves the concept of integrating AI smarts into things that you regularly use, such as sunglasses, the Ray-Ban Meta glasses are for you. It's got two 12 MP cameras that you can use to live stream, a five-mic setup to capture crisp audio, and making use of both these hardware elements is Meta AI which you can use to ask questions about the things around you. The speakers are also surprisingly audible. Battery could be an issue since it doesn't last that long but for a product that's one of its kind, you honestly cannot complain. That said, if you want to customize it more and add things such as prescription lenses, you can't do that on Amazon. Instead, you will have to visit the official Ray-Ban website. What are your thoughts on the Ray-Ban Meta Cyber Monday deal? Let us know in the comments below.

Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses are 20 percent off for Black Friday
If you've been curious to try Meta's Smart Glasses but their $329 price has put you off from buying a pair, now is a great time to take the plunge; Amazon has discounted a handful of the Wayfarer models by 20 percent and is offering a $90 promotional credit until November 30. Combining the two deals together, it's possible to buy the glasses for just over $173. Included in the sale are the Matte Black and Shiny Caramel models, which feature transition lenses. You can save a bit of money by going for a pair with polarized lenses, but if you want to use your new smart glasses indoors, your best bet is to spend a bit more for one of the two colorways mentioned above. Engadget Senior Editor Karissa Bell reviewed the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in 2023, awarding them a score of 85 at the time. Compared to Meta's original Ray-Ban Stories glasses, she found the newer wearable was a more polished product. Not only does the new device feature a slimmer frame and charging case, but Meta also managed to improve audio and camera quality. Additionally, the option to livestream to either Instagram or Facebook makes the Meta smart glasses feel genuinely more useful. Earlier this year, the company released a substantial software update that greatly improved the capabilities of the wearable's Meta AI. For instance, Meta added a feature that allows users to look at something in their surroundings and ask the software to send a reminder about it. The company also made the AI more conversational. Considering Meta AI was one of the weaker features of the smart glasses when they first arrived in 2023, the update makes it easier to recommend the wearable. As long as you feel like you'll get enough use out of the Meta Smart Glasses to justify their price, it's hard to imagine finding a pair for less than they're on sale for right now.

I own two pairs already but these Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses deals could convince me to buy a third
Meta's super-cool spy specs are still my favorite Cyber Monday tech deal The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are my favorite gadget of 2024 - the AI wearable is stylish, useful even when it's out of juice, and offers a handful of neat features like built-in speakers, a camera, and a surprisingly helpful assistant. And for a few more hours, you can score them with a significant discount thanks to this year's Cyber Monday deals. In the US, the cheapest Ray-Ban smart glasses are now $239 (instead of $299), while in the UK, the cheapest Ray-Ban smart glasses are £239 (down from £299). Those are for lenses of one solid color (such as shaded or clear); for polarised lenses, you'll pay $263 / £263, while transition lenses cost $303 / £303 - though both of these prices are less than you'd usually pay thanks to the sales. With savings of $60 / £60 or more to be had, this is the best time ever to pick up a pair of these smart glasses if you've been on the fence about nabbing some. Based on my experience with them I'm sure you'll be a fan too, and now if you'll excuse me, I have a third pair of smart glasses to order. While the specs of the glasses are on paper not the most impressive these smart glasses are more than greater than the sum of their parts. The in-built 12MP camera is perfect for events or sharable activities by serving as a first-person action camera. You can record a fireworks display or a birthday party celebration without being stuck behind a phone screen, or alternatively use them to record your close-up magic act or snowboard excursion from a first-person view to share online. At the same time, you can rely on them to soundtrack your day thanks to the built-in speakers. They're not better than my favorite open-ear headphones, but as part of the Ray-Bans' versatile package, they're passable. When you pack in the admittedly handy Meta AI with features like Look and Ask, you've got a seriously fun gadget in a sleek and stylish package that I think everyone should try. You can learn more about them in our Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses review.

I love the Meta Ray Bans, and they're now 20% off for Black Friday | Stuff
Smart glasses are popping up left, right, and centre these days. But Meta offers one of the best packages with its Ray Bans. I wear glasses everyday anyway, so I think this is the ideal form factor for a wearable - especially one that offers AI. The Meta Ray-Ban glasses have been on my face for a while, and I've gone as far as putting prescription lenses in them, so I can wear them all the time. And they're more compelling than ever this Black Friday, with the smart specs discounted by 20%. Black Friday 2024 is here, and we're busy covering the best deals across the web. Whether you're looking for a new phone, laptop, or stick vac, we'll be highlighting the biggest savings around. Check out the early Amazon Black Friday deals (US) and the early Amazon Black Friday deals (UK) While the Meta Ray Bans aren't on offer over on Amazon, if you shop directly with Meta, you can score 20% off. In the US, this brings the smart glasses down from $299 to $239 for the most basic Wayfarer style. And in the UK, an identical discount brings the specs down from £299 to £239 for the same Wayfarer style. The Meta Ray Ban glasses include down-firing speakers that fire straight into your lugs. These speakers are great for playing music from your phone, just like a set of wireless earbuds. But I've found their best use to be when taking phone calls. You also get the camera on the lenses, which is ideal for taking POV photos or videos. It's only a 12MP snapper in 1080p quality, but I'm impressed with the image quality. But the AI smarts are what really make the Meta Ray Ban smart glasses special. They offer Meta AI, which is powered by the Llama model. It's essentially an AI chatbot in voice format. You can ask it queries, and it'll give you answers - and pretty much nothing is too much for it to handle. What really stands out is the vision feature. The glasses can take a photo with the camera and work out what you're looking at.

I wear my Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses every day -- and now you can get them for $60 off in this Black Friday deal
I've worn glasses all my life. There are pictures of me as a nerdy-looking two-year-old with them strapped to my head. I have a very high prescription and an aversion to things poking me in the eyeball, so I've never got on well with contact lenses. My face looks weird without glasses. I've had everything from thin-framed round glasses that made me look like Harry Potter to thick spectacles that gave Austin Power vibes. My latest facial fashion foray comes in the form of a pair of Ray-Bans -- with an AI brain. The Ray-Bay Meta are the best glasses I've ever worn, not just for the smart features such as access to Meta's voice assistant or being able to take photos, but because they are comfortable, stylish and well-made. And right now you can get the Ray-Ban Meta glasses for just $239 at Best Buy, which is $60 off and the lowest price we've seen yet. Meta has been dabbling in the wearable waters since 2021 but things started to become interesting last year when generative AI was added to the now iconic Ray-Ban frames. Lots of companies have attempted to create an AI device, including the Rabbit r1 and Humane's easily forgotten Pin. However, thanks to a pair of cameras, microphones, speakers in the arm and Meta's Llama AI model -- the Ray-Bans are the only 'AI device' that makes real-world sense. I got my first pair about six weeks ago and finally got prescription lenses for them a month ago. Since then they've been my constant companion. I've asked Meta AI to make phone calls through my phone, check ingredients for potential allergens and identify a spider species. I've used the camera to film fireworks and photograph my food. The camera needs some work, but for convenience alone, it is worth the money. The battery lasts all day if you're careful and don't overdo it, but if it dies and you have a second pair of spectacles, you can't just put it in the charging case. However, the smart glasses are also Ray-Bans. This means they also work fine without the AI or smart features. This is what sets them apart from other AI wearables. The focus was as much on creating something stylish as it was on making a device. It is very "Apple" in that regard. In fact, these are the type of smart glasses I'd have expected to come from Apple rather than Meta. Meta appears to have cracked the AI wearable space. There are still things it needs to improve such as linking to more services including podcasting, radio and non-Meta messaging apps -- but as a phone companion, it is worth every cent. With $50 off, those cents go a lot further.

Ray-Ban Meta glasses just got a huge Black Friday deal -- save 20% plus get $90 Amazon credit
Meta's latest software update for the Ray-Ban smart glasses brings with it a host of new features. And they have a really big discount for Black Friday. Right now the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are just $263 on Amazon, which is 20% off the $329 retail price. Plus, Amazon is throwing in a free $90 Amazon credit. The Ray-Ban smart glasses have been my pick for perfect AI device form factor for some time. Ignoring the fact they look great, being able to converse with an AI that can see what you see is a massive benefit over just having it built into a phone. As you'll see in our Ray-Ban Meta review, we really liked the sleek design, improved camera quality and the ability to live stream to Instagram. The audio quality is also better, whether you're listening to music or making phone calls. And the specs are water resistant. Meta has also revealed new celebrity voices for the Ray-Beta Meta glasses, including John Cena and Kristen Bell. Initially, you could only access the voices through the Meta AI chatbot in apps like Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp but they've now also come to the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses. You can hear John Cena say "Dad is calling". With the latest update, we're also getting more language support from the AI including French, Italian, and Spanish. The other big change is a new "adaptive volume control" and "loudness boost", available in audio settings. Woodland says: "when you have Adaptive Volume Control on and volume is at loudest setting, it'll still situationally go a little louder." Finally, there is a new music detection tool. If you're listening to a track through the glasses you can say "Hey, Meta what's this track". Perfect for when you're tuned in to an Apple Music station or a random playlist. Woodland says there are many more software updates to come adding new AI and non-AI features to the smart glasses.

There's never been a better time to buy a pair of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses
The only AI wearable worth your time are their lowest price ever this Black Friday There's only one AI wearable worth paying attention to - it's stylish, useful even when it's out of juice, and offers a handful of neat features like built-in speakers, a camera, and a surprisingly helpful assistant. I'm, of course, talking about the Ray-Ban meta smart glasses, and as part of this year's Black Friday deals, they've got a solid discount. In the US, the cheapest Ray-Ban smart glasses are now $239 (instead of $299), while in the UK, the cheapest Ray-Ban smart glasses are £239 (down from £299). Those are for lenses of one solid color or that are clear, for polarised lenses you'll pay $263 / £263 while transition lenses cost $303 / £303. With savings of $60 / £60 or more to be had, this is the best time ever to pick up a pair of these smart glasses if you've been on the fence about nabbing some, and from my experience with them, these are a gadget you'll want to give a whirl. I've been calling the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses my favorite social antisocial gadget because they perfectly straddle this line thanks to their feature suite. The on-the-face camera is perfect for social events as you can easily record photos and videos without missing them because your face is behind a phone screen. I've worn them to concerts and firework displays in recent weeks, and while the images aren't as high quality as those taken on my phone, I enjoyed the glass's ability to let me feel more present in the moments I captured. But when I do want to shut myself off a little more - say when I'm taking the tube home from a work event - the built-in speakers are perfect for listening to music, mainly because the open-ear design allows me to still listen out for announcements or what's happening in the real world - unlike a pair of noise-canceling cans. The audio quality doesn't compete with dedicated open-ear headphones I love (like the JBL Soundgear Senses), but the glasses, being an all-in-one device, do have their uses, like when you want to travel light. When you pack in the admittedly handy Meta AI with features like Look and Ask, you've got a seriously fun gadget in a sleek and stylish package. You can learn more about them in our Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses review.
