The only big change will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 which is expected to bring Oryon cores. It's safe to say that in the last three years of S series devices, innovation has kind of gone for a toss at Samsung HQ as all phones since the S22 have consistently looked the same. While we would've loved to tell you that the S25 Ultra could break the boring design cycle, we're afraid that's not happening. At least that's what the latest leaked renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra suggest. We finally have a look at the upcoming flagship, and here's all you need to know. The leaks come courtesy of OnLeaks and Android Headlines. The leaked S25 Ultra renders are of the Black variant, and there are a few differences that you can spot right away. The first and obvious one is the slightly rounded corners from pointed edges on the S24 Ultra. The next difference is in the sides of the display. The S24 Ultra had a flat display but the edges were still a teeny tiny bit curved. That's set to change with the S25 Ultra as the phone embraces completely flat sides, much like the Pixel 9 series. Besides, the camera array placement and overall back design look identical to last year's S24 Ultra, which is quite disappointing. It's evident that not much effort has been put into bringing a new design for almost three iterations of the S series now. As for the other rumored specifications, the ultrawide will be upgraded to a 50MP sensor. The main sensor is 200MP, and the 5X 50MP and 3X Telephoto 10MP shooters are expected to remain unchanged, just like its dimensions (162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm). Design-wise, there seem to be prominent lens bezels around all cameras, as we say on the Z Fold 6 and ZFlip 6. The S25 Ultra is also expected to be a bit lighter at 219g compared to the S24 Ultra at 232g. Samsung is sticking to 5,000 mAh battery and 45W charging speed. The only big upgrade will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC which is expected to bring a performance boost thanks to the Oryon cores. Overall, as my editor Anmol pointed out, it looks extremely boring and sad. As for when the S25 Ultra is expected to come out since the Galaxy S24 series was announced in January this year, you could expect Samsung to launch the S25 series in the first two weeks of January. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra renders just leaked -- and they look a little iPhone

A few weeks ago, a set of renders leaked, purporting to show off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and now we have a new quartet of images to compare against. The newest images come to us courtesy of Android Headlines and regular leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, OnLeaks on X, put together new pictures of a black version of Samsung's next flagship device. We should see the Galaxy S25 Ultra debut in January of 2025, similar to when Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 lineup and the Galaxy S23 series. From what we can tell, the biggest exterior change to the S25 will be flat sides and much curvier corners, similar to the design of the Pixel 9 and the iPhone 16. For the S25 Ultra, Samsung is to keep several things the same, including the cameras, save for an upgraded ultrawide lens and the current 5,000 mAh battery from the last few Ultra phones. They will most likely utilize the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which should get more details in October, and we're sure many new AI features. Allegedly, the S25 Ultra will come in at a light 219g compared to 232g for the S24 Ultra and 227g on the new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Interestingly, Ice Universe, the purveyor of the previous set of S25 Ultra renders, reacted to OnLeaks images and pointed out some errors, blaming them for missing details from the CAD files they had access to. For one, they said that the bezels and metal framing of the phone have errors. We couldn't see much difference with the bezels in a brief study of the different renders. The framing also mainly looked the same, with some detail pieces moving or missing. They also said that the "texture details of the rear camera" are based on speculation, saying that OnLeaks borrowed from the style of the Z Fold 6. They added that this may be "completely wrong and currently the real design is unknown." To their credit, none of the renders show the back of the phone. It should also be noted that there is no S-Pen or SIM card slot in the renderings. We highly doubt that Samsung will remove its stylus from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. That would be a considerable change. However, whatever CAD file OnLeaks and Ice Universe are basing their images on probably doesn't have all the phone details. As always, it is a good reminder to take renders and leaks with a grain of salt as things change or aren't true.
