Samsung R&D Institute Noida and IIT Bombay sign MoU to drive AI and Health Research

Samsung R&D Institute, Noida (SRI-Noida), has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) to advance research in artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, and other emerging technologies. This partnership will enable joint research initiatives, offering IIT Bombay students and faculty the opportunity to work closely with Samsung engineers. The collaboration aims to enhance students' industry readiness and provide valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields. In turn, Samsung engineers will receive specialized training and certifications in AI and digital health technologies from IIT Bombay's expert faculty. The MoU was signed by Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of SRI-Noida, and Prof. Upendra V. Bhandarkar, Associate Dean of Research and Development at IIT Bombay. The signing event was attended by key faculty members from IIT Bombay's Koita Centre for Digital Health (KCDH), including Prof. Ranjith Padinhateeri, Head of KCDH, Prof. Nirmal Punjabi, and Dr. Raghavendran Lakshminarayanan.
