Trane Technologies to Acquire BrainBox AI for AI-Driven Building Technology
The deal is expected to close in early 2025, with all BrainBox AI associates joining Trane Technologies. Trane Technologies, a climate technologies company, announced on Wednesday, December 18, that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BrainBox AI, a Montreal-based company specialising in autonomous HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) controls and generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) building technology. BrainBox AI has developed an enterprise platform for autonomous building management. Its technology is deployed across more than 14,000 commercial buildings globally, including airports, complexes, office buildings, hotels, commercial retail and more, according to the official release. The acquisition integrates BrainBox AI's Artificial Intelligence technology with Trane Technologies' building management and digital capabilities to meet the demand for sustainable, autonomous building solutions, Trane said.
