WhatsApp Gets Meta AI Chatbot In Hindi And More Languages To Tap Millions Of Users - News18
WhatsApp is bringing a new update for the Meta AI chatbot that will make it popular for more users in India and more countries. Meta AI on WhatsApp is now able to help you with responses and other queries in Hindi and 6 more global languages from this week onwards. Meta has also confirmed that its AI chatbot on the messaging app is available in as many as 22 countries with the addition of Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Cameroon among others. The AI chatbot for the messaging app is also getting some new feature updates that help you edit the AI-generated images, and even see yourself in an AI avatar created by the AI model. Meta brought access to its AI chatbot on WhatsApp and Facebook for Indian users last month which lets you create images, answer queries and even help you make a quick search for a restaurant and more. Meta has been testing the AI chatbot with a wide range of users over the past few months and adding support for Hindi feels like a big step for the platform. Meta AI uses the Large Language Model (LLM) to help you generate AI images based on prompts and descriptions given by the user. The text-to-image generation can happen using prompts like, cat flying in a spaceship with a rat and dog, which is created in seconds. The company claims Llama 3 is its most-advanced LLM till date and it seems confident enough to bring it for everyone, especially in a market like India where you have more than 400 million daily active WhatsApp users and Hindi is a big part of the user base in the country. However, the updates for Meta AI don't end there. WhatsApp users can now rely on the AI chatbot in the app to help them edit their AI-generated images using these steps: - Type 'imagine' to create the image by describing the details - Now type Imagine edit to make changes to the created image Meta says the edit feature is available in English for now but more languages will be added soon. Meta AI is also now able to show you in creative images with the help of the Imagine me prompt on WhatsApp. Using this prompt you can add a new hair colour or see yourself with tattoos or even like a superman/woman. Meta assures that, "You can reset or delete your setup photos at any time which we are hoping means the photos are stored on-device and not shared with a cloud server.
