This LG OLED is one of the best TVs I've seen, and it's $900 off for Amazon Prime Day
LG's G3 TV may not be the latest model, but it's a sleek, top-of-the-line smart TV with some truly impressive features. The LG G3 OLED is on sale during Amazon's Prime Day, with the 65-inch model going for as low as $1,846 (about $900 off). Even though it's more than a year old now and LG has replaced it with the G4, this is still an incredible television. It's one of the best-looking TVs I've ever tested, both in terms of the display and the design of the set itself. It packs very impressive audio and a ton of features into its slim design, and any content I tried out looked beautiful. Also: How to buy the best TV on Prime Day: 4 things I consider when shopping deals The G3 is available in sizes from 55 to 83 inches. For the purposes of this review, I tested the 65-inch. Let's dive into what makes this TV so good. Right out of the box, I noticed how sleek the G3 is. At only an inch thick and with an almost non-existent bezel, it's designed to sit flush on a wall. Since I was only enjoying it temporarily, I instead opted to mount it on a stand, but it still looked elegant. Also: The best LG TVs of 2024: Expert tested and reviewed This set has four HDMI ports, all of them HDMI 2.1 eARC. All inputs are in a small cutout on the left side of the TV that I found easy to access. Some TVs place inputs right in the middle, making them difficult to get to, but I didn't have any issues connecting everything I wanted to the G3. I'm a fan of physical media, so the first thing I usually do when I put a TV through its paces is fire up a Blu-Ray. For this test, I picked a personal favorite movie: "Ghostbusters". I felt like I was watching it for the first time. There are quite a few darker scenes in this movie, and I was able to pick out details I hadn't noticed before. I felt like the G3 handled upscaling better than most TVs I encountered. Also: This Sony TV is my No. 1 most recommended TV right now - and it's on sale for Prime Day To test something a little more modern, I went to Netflix and started the first thing I saw - the new "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F." A good mix of bright and dark scenes impressed me even more. Colors were incredibly vibrant when they were supposed to be, and dark scenes were never washed out. I'll call this easily one of the better displays I've seen on a television. It incorporates Micro Lens Array technology, or a layer of microscopic lenses on top of the OLED pixels that supposedly takes brightness to new levels. I especially noticed this when I tested a few games, and now my everyday screen looks dull by comparison. In terms of audio, the G3 supports Dolby Atmos and claims that built-in AI transforms 2-channel audio into virtual 7.1.2. surround sound. While it isn't "actual" surround sound, I was very impressed with the audio, and I could tell it was a significant leap from standard TV speakers. There are several additional audio presets as well, such as sports, music, clear voice, and cinema, which adds a nice bass rumble to action scenes. Also: LG vs Samsung TV: Which brand should you buy in 2024? One of the small things I appreciated the most about the G3 is how well it handles harsh lighting. My living room has a lot of natural light spilling in from the side and a bright overhead light. While testing this TV, I had it sitting in front of my regular TV, which is a wall-mounted LED. The difference between the two was immediately noticeable. The side light didn't impact the G3 at all, and while a reflection from my overhead light was still visible, it wasn't distracting. On my everyday TV, it detracts from the display quite a bit. The anti-glare screen coupled with this set's 1,400 nits of brightness means you'll be able to enjoy content in any conditions, especially bright windows, the bane of most TVs. When it came time to give gaming a run, I quickly discovered this was going to be one of my favorite tests. As I mentioned before, the G3 has an incredibly vibrant display, and it truly shined here. No matter the game, colors were more vibrant than ever, but still quite natural at the same time. The 120Hz refresh rate is enough to make sure everything runs smoothly, and I never noticed any stuttering or slowdowns. Also: The best 4K TVs of 2024: Expert tested and reviewed I usually don't tinker too much with settings, but I enjoyed nosing around the Game Optimizer menu to see what changes different options made. Most gamers probably won't even notice these changes, but dedicated ones will. When the LG G3 debuted, it carried an MSRP of $3,299.99 for the 65-inch version. That price is at the higher end for an OLED, so it certainly scared some people off. But now that the G4 is out, the price for last year's set is down to around $2,000 at most retailers and even less if you catch it on sale. If you're looking for a new TV, that $1,300 savings should be awfully tempting. I really couldn't pick one area this set excelled at, as it did a phenomenal job at everything. If you're looking for a more premium OLED TV but can't stomach the premium prices that usually come along with them, you won't find many better options than the G3.

One great feature offered by this TV is it's ability to generate picture quality that's just as the creator's intended -- with studio calibrated picture modes specially designed for Netflix, Prime Video and Sony Pictures.

Amazon Fire TV Omni Series QLED is worth it for Alexa fans, and up to $170 off for Prime Day
The Amazon Fire TV Omni Series QLED is the next evolution of Amazon's TV offerings, with an all-new QLED screen for bolder colors, sharper detailing, and enhanced contrast. It also aims to provide you with a great streaming experience with rich, clean audio from twin 12W speakers and access to thousands of shows and movies. The Amazon Fire TV Omni Series QLED even works as a gaming TV with a dedicated gaming picture mode to enhance color and detailing so that characters and landscapes pop. Also: OLED vs QLED: Which is better? However, the biggest strike against the Omni QLED is that a lot of its cool functionality is locked behind Alexa. This means that in order to get cool features like making voice or video calls, playing trivia, or checking the weather, you'll have to buy an Echo device and set up an Alexa profile if you don't have one already. The 65-inch Fire TV Omni Series from Amazon retails for around $800, which isn't a bad price for a decently sized screen and all of the features. If you're an avid Amazon or Alexa user, it's worth every penny. If you aren't, it's a bit steep considering that you won't use half of the features. And requiring the added cost of an Echo device to unlock the TV's full potential is a disappointment. Since the FireOS is so closely tied to Amazon's proprietary technology, a lot of the cool features are locked behind Alexa functionalities like Skills. This problem is more evident with the $1,100 price tag for the 75-inch Fire TV Omni version, and highlighted further by the lower prices and somewhat better feature sets of competitor models. And right now during Amazon's Big Spring Sale, you can snag the 55-inch Omni QLED for just over $400 (saving you $180). For example, the Hisense A6 65-inch normally sells for about $470 while still providing premium-grade features like Dolby Vision support, voice controls, and screen mirroring. And TCL, the undisputed king of budget TVs, sells its 65-inch 5 Series for around $500 while giving you comparable picture and sound as well as VRR support for console gaming. Also: The 5 best budget TVs For as great as the new Omni Series QLED models are, the price is a big sticking point for me, especially since I personally don't use Alexa or want an Amazon-centric streaming experience. However, Amazon is currently running a sale on the 65-inch Omni Series QLED, bringing the price down to $550 -- this is much more in line with what I think this TV should be retailing for to begin with, making it a great, budget-friendly option if you're looking to upgrade. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to be as impressed as I was with the picture and sound quality of the Omni Series QLED. Since Amazon is so new to manufacturing, I was expecting a bare-bones TV with basic features and passable picture and sound. And I am very glad to be proven wrong. The QLED panel definitely seems like an improvement over the previous iteration, producing more colors, better contrast, and sharper detailing. It also supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ for enhanced settings when you need it, which is great news for movie and TV show buffs. And it is absolutely worth going through the HDR calibration process (which only takes a few minutes) to fine-tune your images to get the best picture possible. Also: Microsoft: This new Windows 11 app will tune your HDR display The TV also has a dedicated gaming picture mode. This gives your games a much-needed visual boost -- especially if you're playing an older console or digital copy of an older game. The adaptive HDR10+ settings automatically adjust brightness, contrast, and color to make scenes look sharper and more eye-catching. The TV also has integrated ambient light sensors, which automatically make the screen brighter or dimmer based on your environment. A lot of newer smart TVs have this feature. I'm glad that Amazon included it in this model upgrade. Our house catches a lot of morning sun, which can make watching the morning news a bit difficult on our Samsung TU-8000 (which doesn't have adaptive screen brightness). Another small gripe I have with the Omni Series QLED is the 60Hz refresh rate. While this is perfectly fine for most streaming and broadcast entertainment, if you're an avid console gamer or sports fan, it leaves a lot to be desired. And while I understand there are licensing fees for supporting AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync specifically for gaming, general VRR support would have gone a long way toward providing smoother on-screen action. Also: The 5 best gaming TVs The integrated speakers on the TV are a credit to the redesign, however, providing rich, clear audio that doesn't sound tinny or muffled like some stock TV speakers can. Dolby Digital Plus audio support also ensures that you'll get deep bass notes, as well as clear mid and high tones, so you never miss a line of dialogue or bit of music. If you want a more elaborate audio setup, you can connect your TV to Echo speakers to create a custom home audio solution or provide whole-home audio for streaming music. This is an excellent feature that I wish Amazon hadn't shackled to its own brand. Also: The 5 best video streaming services I would much rather see multi-device support for generic Bluetooth speakers and soundbars, since users might have audio equipment from different brands rather than a house full of Amazon-branded devices. You can set up non-Amazon speakers and soundbars with the TV but won't get that whole-home audio experience, which is a shame. As it's meant to be the centerpiece of your Amazon or Alexa-centered smart home network. the Omni QLED features native Alexa support via a voice-enabled remote, as well as a four-microphone array built into the unit itself. If you don't have an Alexa account already, you can use basic voice commands for turning the TV on and off or launching certain apps. And if you want expanded, hands-free controls as well as the ability to add Skills, you can either connect to an Echo device or the Alexa companion app. Though you will need an Amazon account to sign into the Alexa app as well as the TV itself to access many enhanced features. If you decide to download Alexa Skills, you can play music, games, check the weather, get daily trivia, or even make and receive video calls. Skills are what really set the Omni QLED apart from similar smart TVs from competitors like TCL and Hisense. Without access to these features, the Omni QLED is reduced to a pretty bog-standard smart TV with better-than-expected picture and audio capabilities. Where I was the most surprised with the Omni QLED is just how well it does with console gaming. I set up both my PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch and ran this TV through every test and challenge I could think of. And the Omni Series QLED is more than capable of delivering a quality console gaming experience. Also: Best TVs for gaming The dedicated gaming mode is automatically enabled as soon as the TV detects that your console is powered on and connected, which is great because you don't have to navigate through any confusing menus to get the best picture possible for your games. This picture mode automatically boosts contrast and color to give you sharp, clean images that make characters and landscapes really pop. I was most impressed with just how great Ghost of Tsushima looks, with its cinematic landscapes, rich character modeling, and sheer amount of stuff on screen at any given point. And even with the Omni QLED's somewhat lackluster 60Hz refresh rate, I never had any issues with screen tearing or artifacting; and I never had any issues with motion blur feeling excessive or like an annoyance. It does get a bit tricky when playing rhythm games, as it can throw you for a loop when trying to hit complicated beat combos, but it doesn't detract from most games. The Switch looks nice on this TV as well, especially since many Nintendo titles have bold colors and interesting art direction that work really well with the QLED panel. The original Paper Mario looks clean, if clunky in comparison with later entries to the series, and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is a delight. I usually play console games with a headset so I can better pick up on audio cues and dialogue, but the integrated speakers of the Omni QLED provide loud and clear audio that doesn't make you miss out on fine details like wind through trees, subtle music, and quiet character conversations. If you're in the market for a TV strictly for console gaming, I'd highly recommend the Omni QLED. Even at the full $800, it's still a solid option against competitors from brands like Sony and LG when it comes to picture quality and a smoother, more enjoyable gameplay experience. This TV was built from the ground up to be a one-stop-shop not only for streaming Amazon Originals and Prime Video offerings, but streaming from every one of your favorite apps. Upon startup, the Omni QLED drops you right into the FireOS home screen, which puts Prime shows and movies front and center. You can also access Amazon's other video streaming partners like Freevee from the home screen as well to watch free movies and shows with ads. Also: The best free movie apps The Omni QLED comes with a small suite of preloaded apps to get you started, but you'll have to manually download popular options like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ if you want them. This process is no big deal, as many new smart TVs only offer a small selection of preloaded streaming options. But to not at least have other Amazon-owned apps like Twitch preloaded and ready to go is an odd choice to me. Another home screen issue I have is the ads. They're not quite as invasive or annoying as what you'd see on a Kindle, but a good portion of the home screen is taken up by ads for various Amazon-produced shows and movies, streaming partners, and even tips for setting up and configuring your new TV. While these are generally helpful for finding new things to watch, if you're absolutely against ads, it's something to keep in mind. Especially since they don't always load on startup, leaving your TV screen a void of various shades of gray. Once you have all of your apps downloaded, you then have to configure your quick-selection menu. It's not a particularly difficult or time-consuming task, but it's a small annoyance that recently used apps don't show up on the home screen automatically. You have to access your full library by going to the settings menu, where you can then add your favorite streaming services to your quick-access menu. Thankfully, you really only have to do this once if you're like me and you stick to just a handful of streaming apps; but if you like to switch things up a lot, you're going to spend a lot of time tweaking your quick-access list. Along with apps, you can also share your mobile device screens via AirPlay or Chromecast. I will say that when the Omni QLED arrived at my house, I had quite a bit of trouble getting AirPlay to work properly. I ended up contacting Amazon for troubleshooting help. One factory reset and several firmware updates later, we were able to get the issue fixed. So if you're having issues sharing anything via AirPlay or Chromecast, I suggest checking the settings menu for the latest firmware update. And if that doesn't work, a good old-fashioned reset usually takes care of any software or connectivity weirdness. Which unfortunately means you'll have to go through your setup and home screen configuration process again. Also: How to AirPlay to a TV Once I got AirPlay to work properly, it was fairly easy to stream Twitch broadcasts, TikTok videos, and YouTube clips to the TV. A few image quality issues cropped up, like weird white balancing and washed-out colors, but I chalk this up to the way screen mirroring works rather than any fault with the TV. And unless you plan on scrolling through your TikTok FYP for hours, you're not going to notice much of a difference anyway. Animation is another area where this TV really comes into its own. Whether you're watching brand-new shows or childhood favorites, the Omni QLED can produce bright, vivid colors that make every frame feel cleaner and more exciting. Overall picture quality varies quite a bit, depending on the age of the animated show or movie you're trying to watch. But even original episodes of Dexter's Laboratory look clean and sharp; there's a little "fuzziness" at times with older shows and movies in general, due to the resolution limitations of the time. But the 4K upscaling does a great job of bringing out fine details without ruining the charm. At the end of the day, the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series QLED is a run-of-the-mill smart, 4K TV that aims to provide a solid streaming experience for Amazon and Alexa users. If you're not an avid Alexa or Amazon fan, you can still get a lot of mileage out of this TV, especially if you're looking for a more affordable TV for console gaming. The dedicated gaming picture mode lets colors and details pop while the integrated speakers provide clean, clear audio. And even older cartoons and films look amazing with upscaled 4K resolution, letting you revisit childhood favorites in a satisfying way. Many of the cool features are inextricably linked to Alexa functionality, so if you want to be able to take full advantage of the Omni QLED, you'll have to invest in an Echo device and set up an Alexa account. And this reason alone is why I think the $800 price tag is just a touch on the high side for this TV, since without Alexa Skills, it's just a basic QLED model. But right now, you can get the 65-inch Omni QLED for just $550 at Amazon, which is a much more appropriate price point to my mind. The Hisense A6 offers similar picture and audio quality along with features like Dolby Vision, screen mirroring, and a dedicated game mode. Though its list price is $470, it's currently on sale for about $80 less than the Omni's sale price and more than half of the Omni Series QLED's retail price, making it a great option for budget-conscious shoppers. TCL is best known for its budget-friendly smart TVs. But just because they're on the cheaper side doesn't mean they're cheaply built. The 65-inch 5-Series also uses a QLED panel with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support as well as 40 contrast control zones for enhanced detailing and contrast. It also has a dedicated game mode, but where it differs from the Omni Series QLED is that the 5-Series supports VRR technology. This syncs the TV's refresh rate with that of your console's video output, preventing annoying screen tearing and stuttering. The Omni QLED is locked at 60Hz, where the 5-Series is more flexible for smoother motion. The LG QNED80 is another great alternative to the Omni Series QLED. It retails for about the same as the Omni's retail price, but beats out the Omni QLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, Nvidia GeForce Now support, and Bluetooth surround sound support. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium VRR for smoother motion while gaming. The QNED80 also uses AI to create virtual surround sound, so you don't have to set up extra speakers for great film and TV audio or music.

One of the best soundbars I've tested is not made by Bose or Sonos (and is $500 off on Prime Day)
LG released the S95TR soundbar earlier this year as a high-end complement to its newest OLED TVs, following much hype. The soundbar and wireless subwoofer setup comes with a host of impressive features, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound, and lots of extra features accessible through its app. Also: This LG TV has one of the best displays I've seen, and it's not even the newest model I recently went hands-on with the soundbar to see if it was worth all the excitement. Let's dig in. The S95TR includes four components: a main soundbar, subwoofer, and two small rear speakers. The good thing about the subwoofer and rear speakers is that they're wireless, so no additional cords are needed aside from the power connections and main HDMI cord. The main concern that prevented me from committing to a surround sound setup in the first place was having to deal with wires running across my room, so I definitely appreciate the fact that it's wireless. Also: The best soundbars you can buy, tested and reviewed In order to take advantage of all the features, however, you'll need to download the LG Soundbar app. It's a little inconvenient that this is different from the LG ThinQ app that controls LG TVs, especially given that you'll probably use it regularly, but that's a minor quibble. Setup was simple. After plugging in the speakers in the instructed order, installing the app, and adding the soundbar to the app, the speakers go through a process that tunes them specifically to your room setup. I played a movie before utilizing AI Room Calibration, and I can attest that it made a noticeable difference in how things sounded. I then used the TV's built-in speakers to get a baseline for testing this soundbar. Over the noise of two kids and a dog in the house, I had to turn the volume more than halfway to hear comfortably: 65 out of 100. Conversely, when I switched the audio to the soundbar, it was more than loud enough in the 40s. Right away, I knew it would be a serious upgrade. Also: This all-in-one soundbar turned my old TV into the ultimate 4K theatre experience Another thing I like to test with audio equipment is how well it handles dialogue. With my everyday setup, I usually watch everything with captions because it's so easy to miss something. The main soundbar here fixes that problem with a small up-firing center speaker in addition to the traditional front ones, something LG claims makes dialogue clearer. When I turned on one of my favorite shows, I noticed a decent improvement over the TV's built-in speakers and a significant improvement over my everyday soundbar's audio. If you struggle to catch every word like I do sometimes, you'll definitely appreciate this feature. I then ran the soundbar through a variety of movie tests, including action scenes with explosions galore, suspenseful scenes in creepy woods, dialogue-driven scenes, and more. Also: I tested LG's new Mini LED TV for a month, and it beat my G2 OLED in 3 major ways The audio from the S95TR setup actually makes background sound stand out in a realistic way. The same went for the second scene in my test, which involved a conversation between people in a car. The ambient road noise wrapped around the back of my couch while the conversation stayed in front of me, just like it would in real life, and there was enough of a rumble from the subwoofer to sound like a real road. In every test, not only did the soundbar setup perform flawlessly, I felt like I heard things that I would have otherwise missed. If you're worried about sleeping kids or neighbors, there is a Night Time Mode - accessible via app and remote control. This feature keeps the surround sound active, but the subwoofer is noticeably softer and the audio toned down. My setup was on a shared wall with my daughter's room, and she didn't complain about late night movies, so that's a win. Also: One of the loudest Bluetooth speakers I've tested is also one of the most affordable Gamers will appreciate 120Hz HDR10 passthrough support, which makes sure there's no delay in getting sound through the speakers. I tried out several games on my PS5, and the experience of each one improved with this system. At one point, a sound behind me was so realistic that my dog shot his head up to see who was there. At first glance, the LG S95TR's price tag of $1,499 might seem a little steep, especially when there are budget, wired options available for under $400 with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. If you're wondering if it's worth it, the answer is yes. It absolutely is. In fact, it's $500 off during Amazon Prime Day, sweetening the pot. Not only is the wireless setup easier than any audio system I've encountered, the S95TR performed better than any system I've heard before, point blank. If you built your own setup that matched these components, you'd end up spending more anyway, so this may even be saving money in one respect. Just keep in mind that although the soundbar setup works with any TV, it works best with LG's B4, C4, and G4 OLED TVs - and you'll miss out on some features if you're not using one of those TVs.

The Samsung QLED TV most people should buy is $1,300 off for Prime Day
Samsung is currently discounting the QN90C Neo QLED model during Amazon's annual Prime Day sale. The 75-inch model I tested can be had for just $1,698 ($1,300 off). Since being introduced in 2021, Samsung's Neo QLED series of televisions has ranked high in its class, setting the benchmark for display quality and features. And while the 2023 QN90C TV is no longer the best model from the company, it's still one of the best offerings in general if you don't need all the latest AI features on Samsung's 2024 line. Also: Samsung has a new entry-level OLED TV and it costs $900 less than the S95D The set is available in 43 to 85 inches, but I tested the 55-inch for the purposes of this review. Right out of the box, this is just a good-looking TV. It has a very slim design and a super-thin bezel that truly makes the picture stand out. As I was unboxing it, the stand also caught my eye. Instead of two legs like almost all other TVs, the QN90C is supported by a single leg in the middle, similar to a computer monitor. Also: The best Samsung TVs of 2024: Expert tested and reviewed Though I have to admit, setting up that stand was a little cumbersome, so much so that after I read the manual and started putting it together, I had to refer back to the instructions because I couldn't figure it out. I'd consider that a small inconvenience, though as it's a "one and done" type of thing, I feel like the sleek, premium look was eventually worth it. The stand did have a slight wobble, especially when my kids ran through the living room, but I was never worried about the set toppling over. If inputs are a concern, the QN90C carries four HDMI ports (one eARC), all of them supporting HDMI 2.1. For an operating system, the set uses Samsung's own Tizen software. This was my first experience with Tizen, and while it wasn't as user-friendly as Roku or Google TV, I was able to navigate where I wanted to go without much trouble. On the display side, this is a Quantum Mini-LED, which Samsung first introduced in 2021. As the name implies, the LEDs are much smaller here than usual, leading to better backlight control. Samsung claims to take that a step further though, with microlayers inside the LEDs, eliminating noise. There's support for HDR10 and HDR10+, and online reports put the brightness at nearly 2,000 nits -- meaning it's bright enough for most home and office environments. My living room has a fair amount of natural light shining where my TV sits, and I'll definitely say this set's display thrives in that environment -- largely due to its anti-reflection film. There are times with my everyday television that I have to close my blinds because of glare, but the QN90C was bright enough which made that unnecessary. I fired up a personal favorite, Netflix's Stranger Things, to test the display, and it was honestly the most I've enjoyed that show visually. Also: LG vs Samsung TV: Which brand should you buy in 2024? The QN90C also utilizes local dimming control, which takes unused electrical power from dark areas of the screen and diverts it to brighter areas. I was impressed with how that worked here, as dark scenes were dark as intended, but black levels still had a contrast where things were clearly visible. Bright colors popped beautifully, and scenes with fast action showed no signs of blur. As far as upscaling content Samsung has its Neural Quantum Processor on board, which uses AI to add depth and sharpness to content regardless of the original resolution -- essentially making everything 4K. I tested this out with Ferris Bueller's Day Off and absolutely loved how things looked. I've had televisions where the upscaling produced results far too unnatural looking, but the QN90C does this very well. When it comes to sound, this set is plenty sufficient as-is. It supports Dolby Atmos, but even without a sound bar, I could clearly hear dialogue over the bustle of my two kids and dog. I keep closed captions on my everyday TV for this very reason, even when using a sound bar, and it was nice to be able to turn that off for a while. Like other Samsung televisions, it supports what they call object tracking, which sends sounds to the relevant part of the screen. For example, if you're watching a movie with a racing scene, you'll audibly notice the engine sound roar left to right along with the car. Also: Samsung has its own line of video game controllers now. Here's the first model When I started digging into the gaming features though, I found where this television really shined. It has a very low input lag (under 10ms), a 120Hz display, support for variable refresh rate, and Samsung's above-average Game Bar feature. Holding the pause/play button while a video game console is on brings up the menu overlay, and from there you can dig into the settings like Game Picture Mode (there are six to choose from, plus two custom options), Game Motion Plus (which reduces motion blur and improves picture quality), and an on-screen crosshair (with three color options). From that bar, there's a deeper game mode settings option, which lets you tune the black equalizer, choose "basic" or "advanced" for HDR, and even choose the level of judder reduction and blur reduction. Most casual gamers wouldn't dive this deep into these settings, but for serious gamers, this is a fantastic thing to have. It's the deepest level of customization I've seen from a gaming menu. In fact, I'd call this easily one of the best gaming TVs I've come across. The Samsung QN90C TV has a few minor annoyances -- I'm hesitant to call the wobbliness and installation process shortcomings -- but its picture quality in every instance and gaming features more than made up for those. If you're looking for a premium-level TV that does well in any environment with any kind of content, keep this one high on your list.

Amazon's Prime Day 2023 has kicked off with a bang, offering tech enthusiasts and home entertainment aficionados a golden opportunity to upgrade their viewing experience. The C2 Series boasts perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and a 120Hz refresh rate, making it an ideal choice for both movie enthusiasts and gamers alike.
Not to be outdone, Samsung's QLED TVs are also seeing significant price cuts. For those seeking a larger screen, the 75-inch Samsung Q60B QLED TV offers a immersive viewing experience at a more accessible price point 3.

This model is particularly appealing to PlayStation 5 owners, as it's optimized for gaming with the popular console.
For shoppers on a tighter budget, there are still plenty of options to consider. Amazon's own Fire TV series, including the Omni QLED TV, offers 4K resolution and smart features at a fraction of the cost of premium models 5. These TVs provide an excellent balance of performance and affordability, making them attractive options for those looking to upgrade without breaking the bank.
Prime Day's significant discounts on televisions are likely to have a ripple effect on the broader TV market. As Amazon sets the pace with these deals, other retailers may feel pressured to offer competitive prices, potentially leading to a general reduction in TV prices across the board. This event could mark a turning point for consumers who have been waiting for the right moment to invest in a new television.
With the sheer number of deals available, shoppers are advised to do their research before making a purchase. Factors to consider include screen size, display technology (OLED, QLED, or LED), smart features, and specific use cases such as gaming or home theater setups. It's also worth noting that while these deals are impressive, they are time-sensitive, urging interested buyers to act quickly to secure their preferred models at these discounted prices.
