ASUS has introduced two new laptops in India: the Zenbook S16 and Vivobook 16. Both models come with AI-powered technology, enhanced security, and support for upcoming Copilot+ PC features, according to the company. The Zenbook S16 is a lightweight laptop, weighing 1.5 kg and just 1.1 cm thick. It has a 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) ASUS Lumina OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers sharp visuals, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and Dolby Vision support. It also reduces blue light by 70% and has VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification for deep contrasts. Under the hood, it runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor (up to 5.0 GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads) with a 50 TOPS XDNA 2 NPU for AI tasks. It includes 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD for fast storage. The 78Wh battery lasts up to 18 hours and supports quick Type-C charging. Connectivity options include 2 USB4 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, an SD card reader, and an audio jack. The laptop features an ErgoSense keyboard with a Copilot key and a large touchpad for easy navigation. It's built to last, meeting US MIL-STD 810H standards, and has a 6-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. Security is handled by a Microsoft Pluton chip and Passkeys integration. The Vivobook 16 sports a 16-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1200) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Certified by TÜV Rheinland, it cuts down on blue light and flicker for eye comfort. The screen can tilt 180 degrees for flexible use. Weighing 1.88 kg and 1.79 cm thick, it's easy to carry. It's powered by the same AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor (up to 5.0 GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads) with a 50 TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU for AI functions. It has 16GB of DDR5 memory onboard, plus a SO-DIMM slot for upgrades. The laptop includes a backlit ErgoSense keyboard with 1.7mm key travel, a NumKey layout, and a Copilot key. The smart touchpad supports gestures. For connectivity, it offers 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports and HDMI 2.1. An FHD IR camera with Windows Hello and a webcam shutter add security, backed by the Microsoft Pluton chip and Passkeys. It's also US MIL-STD 810H certified for durability.
