ASUS Adol 14 Air Fragrance laptop features AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APU, built-in fragrance
ASUS is preparing to launch its new Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition laptop for the Chinese market, powered by AMD's new Ryzen AI 9 395 "Strix Point" APU. Check it out: The company released the standard Adol 14 laptop in July, with the newer Adol 14 powered by AMD's new Strix Point APU, compared to the Ryzen 8000 series "Hawk Point" APU in its predecessor. The new edition laptop will smit a nice-smelling fragrance, which... well... I don't know, make you feel better I guess. AMD's new Ryzen AI 9 365 "Strix Point" APU features 10 cores and 20 threads of Zen 5 processing power (split between 4 x Zen 5 + 6 x Zen 5c cores) with the knocked-down Radeon 880M GPU (but still on the RDNA 3.5 GPU architecture, just less compute units). ASUS is using a 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) resolution display with a beautiful 240Hz refresh rate, inside we've also got LPDDR5-7500 memory and a 75Wh battery that the company says provides up to 14 hours of video playback on the new Adol 14 Fragrance Edition laptop. This isn't a new stylish gaming laptop, but it'll have enough integrated RDNA 3.5-based power to run some games at decent settings... but you won't be fully utilizing that 240Hz refresh rate on the ASUS Adol 14 Air Fragrance laptop, that's for sure. Still, the Chinese market is very different from the west, with the new ASUS Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition laptop built in collaboration with Anna Sui and Adol and priced ast 9199 RMB (around $1100-$1200 USD or so) and will be available in China starting October 1, 2024.

ASUS Launches AMD Ryzen AI 9 365-Powered Laptop With Built-In Fragrance
The ASUS Adol 14 Air Fragrance edition is a special edition laptop for the Chinese market that will emit a nice smell & features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APU. ASUS is debuting its special edition of the Adol 14 laptop, which had its original edition released in July. The new Adol 14 will now use the latest Strix Point APU instead of the Hawk Point Ryzen 8000 processors. This new edition will be Chinese market-specific and will emit a nice fragrance for a pleasant experience. The report comes from Weibo (via @realVictor_M), where ASUS announced its Adol 14 Air Fragrance edition, featuring the Ryzen AI 9 365 APU. The Ryzen AI 9 365 is a 10-core Strix Point Zen 5-based chip with hyperthreading enabled. It features 4x Zen 5 and 6x Zen 5c cores and brings Radeon 880M integrated graphics. The Adol 14 is one of the handful of laptop editions to use Ryzen AI 9 365 APU as the majority of premium laptops use the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The Adol 14 Air Fragrance carries over most of the specifications from its predecessor, bringing a 3K(2880x1800p) resolution on a 14-inch OLED display. The display runs at 240Hz for a smooth gaming experience and offers incredibly high contrast for vivid image details. Other specs include LPDDR5 7500 MHz memory and a 75Wh battery for up to 14 hours of video playback. Since the laptop doesn't feature any discrete GPU, it will have a good battery life for various purposes like gaming and productivity. To ensure users can have a nice smell all the time, a fragrance dispenser is placed on the lid with an infused fragrance sheet. Users can change the sheet with different scents as per their taste. The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition laptop is built in collaboration with Anna Sui and Adol and is priced at 9199 RMB. However, the laptop will be discounted for 8999 RMB (around $1200 US) at launch and will be available for purchase in China starting 1st October 2024.
