It comes with a repairable design that lets you fix certain parts of the phone. HMD Skyline has officially launched after weeks of leaks and rumours. The new HMD Skyline comes with a repairable design and also looks quite reminiscent of the Nokia N9 with its boxy and sharp edges. The HMD Skyline has been made official in select markets including Europe, the UK, and the US. There's no word on its release in other markets but HMD is launching new phones in India on July 25th. HMD Skyline is priced at 499 Euros (Rs 45,620 approx) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in another variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and this one costs 599 Euros (54,765 approx). HMD Skyline comes in Neon Pink and Twisted Black colours. The HMD Skyline has a nostalgic design similar to the late 2000s Nokia phones. It looks somewhat like the Nokia N9 and even the Nokia Lumia 920 for its bright and peppy choice of colour. Other than its design, the HMD Skyline also stands out for its repairable parts. The back cover is easily removable to change it and other parts like the screen, battery and bent charging ports. This is possible with iFixit kits and spare parts that you'll need to buy separately. The HMD Skyline also has a customisable button on the side that gives you quick access to apps and features. HMD Skyline features a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood of the phone runs the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 710 GPU. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. You can expand the storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. With the HMD Skyline, you get a 108MP primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera with 4x zoom. The smartphone uses AI for its Capture Fusion feature that enhances detail in photos. For selfies, you get a 50MP front camera on the HMD Skyline. The new HMD smartphone packs a 4,600mAh battery with 33W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging support. On the software front, the HMD Skyline runs Android 14 and it will receive two OS updates and three years of security updates.
