It runs on Intel's 200V Core Ultra series processors and will get Copilot+ features in a software update. On Tuesday, HP unveiled its first 2-in-1 AI PC, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch. The device has a 3K OLED display, a haptic touchpad and Intel's 200V Core Ultra series processors with a dedicated AI engine. Starting in late November, the PC will get Microsoft's Copilot+ capabilities as an update. The OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch has a 2,880 x 1,800 touch-sensitive OLED display with a maximum 120Hz variable refresh rate. With a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, the PC is only 0.59 inches (15mm) thick and weighs 2.97 lbs (1.35kg). The OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-inch starts at 512GB of storage, with 1TB and 2TB options also available. 16GB of RAM is standard, but more expensive tiers will boost that to 32GB. The 2-in-1 is rated for up to 20 hours of battery life, and it can fast-charge to about 50 percent in 45 minutes using its bundled 65W USB-C adapter. HP Omnibook Ultra Flip Arrives with a Super-Portable Design
HP just updated its 2-in-1 notebook lineup with the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip. Optimized for creatives, this Omnibook features the latest Intel chips, long battery life, and a stunning display. Designers and content creators will appreciate the compact but sharp 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a peak refresh rate of 120Hz. HP has shaved off the screen bezels to a minimum to create a 90.04% screen-to-body ratio. At 400 nits, the screen gets bright enough, but you can crank it up to 500 nits in HDR mode. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 keeps it safe. The screen rests on a flexible hinge that helps you flip this laptop into different modes: tent mode, tablet mode, and presentation mode. These modes are optimized to "draw or review creative designs," according to HP. The HP Omnibook Ultra Flip comes with every variant of the new Intel Core Ultra series. You can get it in Intel Core Ultra 9, Ultra 7, or Ultra 5 versions. All three chips support integrated Arc graphics and dedicated NPU cores for AI workloads. HP has paired these chips with 32GB of LPDDR5 memory (a base 16GB model is also available) and 2TB, 1TB, and 512GB NVMe SSD storage options. At 2.97 pounds and with the dimensions of 12.35 x 8.51 x 0.59 inches, it's a bit lighter and slimmer than some other 2-in-1 HP Envy and Spectre models. There are three ports in this build: 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports and a basic USB-C. No Ethernet or HDMI in this compact model, but there is a headphone/mic jack. All three USB-C ports work with its 65W power adapter that can deliver a 50% top-up in just 45 minutes. The battery is supposed to last up to 16 hours and 30 minutes on a single charge. Interestingly, the USB-C ports are located on the laptop's rounded corners, rather than the flat sides of the chassis. Close AI-powered gestures (including auto-lock if you step away and auto-unlock when you return), refined video calling via its 9MP camera, and Microsoft Copilot+ are also enabled by default. The Copilot+ feature will become active when Microsoft eventually pushes the update. The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip starts from $1,449.99, available in navy blue and gray. Source: HP

HP's latest EliteBook has AMD Ryzen AI processors and supports Copilot+
HP is holding its Imagine event this week, and with it, the company is announcing a new entry in its refreshed EliteBook series: the AMD-powered EliteBook X, which joins the existing EliteBook Ultra, featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Additionally, HP is also introducing new variants of the EliteBook Ultra and the HP OmniBook X, bringing the entry barrier a good bit lower. Finally, the company is launching the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip, though this model was announced a couple of weeks ago alongside Intel's Lunar Lake processors, it's just shipping starting today. Related HP's new OmniBook Ultra Flip comes with Intel Lunar Lake and everything you love about the Spectre x360 HP's Spectre x360 has a new name The new HP EliteBook X Close The HP EliteBook X is the company's latest business laptop, and the first one under the refreshed EliteBook branding to feature an AMD processor. Like every laptop since the brand refresh, this PC will support Copilot+, though these capabilities will only roll out to AMD (and Intel) processors in November. More specificlly, the HP EliteBook X is powered by "next-generation AMD Ryzen Pro processors", which HP isn't specifying, but are likely part of the Ryzen AI 300 series. The processor will feature up to 55TOPS of AI performance, similar to the OmniBook Ultra laptop, which features an exclusive AMD chip that only HP is using. Otherwise, the laptop features up to 64GB of RAM with very fast speeds up to 8,000MT/s, and up to 2TB of storage. One of the highlight features HP is touting is called AI Companion, which can "analyze and query" your files, which suggests it can pull data from your files to answer specific questions and help you with certain workloads. On the topic of AI, HP is also touting Poly Camera Pro, which uses the NPU to apply effects to your webcam, including background blur and removal. These features are also available on the OmniBook Ultra Flip powered by Intel's Core Ultra Series processors. A feature that seems to be exclusive to the EliteBook X is the ability to run certain security features powered by Wolf Security on the NPU, relieving the CPU to perform better in other tasks. The HP EliteBook X will be available sometime in December, and HP isn't ready to announce a price just yet. Snapdragon X Plus 8-core comes to more PCs Close The other big announcement from HP today is that the HP EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X, which launched earlier this year with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, are expanding into a more affordable price range by adding the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core chipset that was launched at IFA 2024. Related HP EliteBook Ultra review: Another win for Snapdragon, but not so much for HP These laptops are so good This new lower-tier of processor is still promising more CPU performance than an Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor, though the GPU performance also takes a big hit compared to the Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus 10-core. However, the NPU performance is still the same, so these variants are just as Copilot+ cable as the existing ones. With these new versions, prices for these laptops should come down significantly, making Copilot+ much more accessible. Plus, it brings the signature efficiency of Arm to a lower price point, too. You can check out these two products below, though the new configurations may not be available just yet. Additionally, there are new Pro-series monitors aimed at commercial customers today, ranging from 24-inch to 34-inch sizes, with the full lineup rolling out through November.
