GIGABYTE AORUS Master 16 with OLED, RTX 5080, and Intel Core Ultra 9 launches in India at ₹3,15,000
GIGABYTE has introduced the updated AORUS Master 16 in India. Compared to its previous generation, the 2025 model brings changes across CPU, GPU, display technology, and onboard AI features. The earlier AORUS 15/17 models were powered by 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors and up to RTX 4080 GPUs. The new AORUS Master 16 upgrades the CPU to Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU), and GPU options now include up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU based on the newer Blackwell architecture. Another major change is the inclusion of an OLED panel with Dolby Vision support. Previous AORUS laptops mostly used IPS-level LCDs with high refresh rates but lacked OLED contrast and HDR capabilities. The new panel is aimed at offering improved visual clarity and contrast, especially for creators. In terms of thermal design, the WINDFORCE cooling system in the 2025 model, now called WINDFORCE INFINITY EX, features a 230 W thermal envelope (compared to ~185 W in many earlier models). It introduces asymmetric Frost Fans, a full vapor chamber, and what GIGABYTE refers to as Icy Touch surfaces, which claim to maintain a lower temperature on contact areas. Another addition is GiMATE, a built-in voice assistant powered by a large language model. While previous AORUS models supported basic macro or function shortcuts through software like Control Center, GiMATE adds voice-based system adjustments and user interaction through a press-and-speak interface. GIGABYTE has also added support for NVIDIA NIM microservices in the new generation, allowing deployment of AI workloads locally. This reportedly extends the device's utility beyond traditional gaming and content creation workflows. The GIGABYTE AORUS Master 16 is expected to be available on Amazon and Flipkart soon, starting at ₹3,15,000.
