Google AI Pro now lets you generate three Veo 3 Fast videos every day
It has only been a few weeks since Google first debuted Veo 3 to the world. The company is moving fast with its latest AI video generator and is making a few changes that favor AI Pro members. In a social post, the VP of Google Labs and Gemini, Josh Woodward, announced some changes related to Veo 3. According to the executive, Veo 3 Fast is coming to the Gemini app and Flow. This tool is said to be over twice as fast at generation, while maintaining 720p resolution. The company has also rolled out "a bunch of serving optimizations," which means Google "can serve more of it." Additionally, Veo 3 Fast will now only take 20 credits per generation in Flow and random/gibberish subtitles have been reduced.

The Google AI Pro plan costs just $20/month. Pixel 9 users get a free year of Google AI Pro, which includes access to Veo and other tools. If you've been itching to try out Google's more impressive AI tools, like the brand's Veo 3 video generator, going with a Pro account is going to be one of the more affordable ways, considering that it recently got discounted to just $20/month. Of course, there are still limitations to what you can do when compared to the Ultra plan that costs $250/month. The news comes courtesy of Josh Woodward, who is the VP of Google Labs and Gemini (via 9to5Google). Going forward, Gemini Pro users will be able to generate three videos daily using Veo 3 Fast. Good things come to those who wait In addition, it also looks like Veo is making a small improvement that will fix text subtitles. Furthermore, Woodward shares that Flow Pro members will be able to create videos using Veo 3 Fast by using 20 credits per generation. Currently, the Google AI Pro plan comes with 1,000 monthly credits that can be used across a variety of Google's AI tools. Of course, if you don't want to spend any extra, and you still want to make more videos, you'll be able to do so using Veo 2. Just remember that you'll be getting a different quality video and there won't be support for audio. Woodward also points out in his post that if you're currently an Ultra subscriber, nothing changes for you, and you continue to use the service as is. If you're a Pixel 9 user, the phone comes with a free year of Google AI Pro, which means you'll be able to get it on all of this without spending any money. Of course, in addition to the above, you also get access to powerful tools in Gemini, along with Whisk, NotebookLM, and 2TB of storage space. If you haven't tried it, we recommend giving the AI tools a try since they're quite interesting. Thanks: Moshe!

Gemini app Pro subscribers now get three 'Veo 3 Fast' videos per day
Google is now giving AI Pro subscribers in the Gemini app more video generations with Veo 3 Fast after previously providing a 10-pack trial. Veo 3 is Google's latest model for video with the ability to generate audio. Veo 3 Fast is a new model for the Gemini app that is 2x faster (to generate), while maintaining the same 720p resolution. Google also touts a "bunch of serving optimizations" that means it "can serve more of it." Specifically, Google AI Pro subscribers ($19.99 per month) now get three Veo 3 Fast generations per day after previously being limited to a one-time trial. (Before the limit resets the next day, you'll be using Veo 2. Alternatively, there's the AI Ultra subscription $249.99/month for more.) Meanwhile, Veo 3 Fast only takes 20 credits per generation in the Flow. The updated usage charts for the filmmaking app are below: For Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast, Google has addressed "random/gibberish text subtitles." Looking ahead, the team is working to bring it to more countries. It's also working on bringing image-to-video in the Gemini app (just like Whisk Animate), as well as adding speech to those generations. There's also:

Google can now generate your AI videos more quickly than ever
Google's revving up its AI video-making engine Veo 3 with a sped-up version called Veoβ―3 Fast. Both Gemini Pro and Flow users can access the faster Veo 3 model, which produces 720p videos at more than twice the speed of the previous iteration. Gemini Pro users get three daily video generations using Veo 3 Fast as part of their subscription. Google Flow Pro users on Google's creative platform can now generate each Fast video for 20 credits, which is far less than the cost of 720p videos before. Gemini Ultra subscribers get far more for their 250-per-month subscription, of course. Google Veo 3 Fast doesn't just shorten wait times for impatient video-makers, though. It's part of scaling up Google's AI video infrastructure, allowing more people to use the tools simultaneously without waiting too long. Josh Woodward, who oversees Gemini and Labs at Google, has also outlined plans in the works to incorporate better subtitle rendering and smoother playback as a result of the improved video creation foundation represented by Google Veo 3 Fast. Making videos more quickly and efficiently is also useful, as it facilitates the incorporation of additional features. Google's already testing picture-to-video with voice prompts, where, instead of typing a prompt, you could just say "turn this selfie into a soap opera starring supercomputers" and watch as Gemini gives you a low-resolution clip of "Crays Of Our Lives." Businesses could also get involved, generating internal update videos or onboarding materials without ever filming anything. Google Veo 3 Fast also aligns with Google's strategy to integrate AI tools into absolutely everything it offers customers. They don't need new products every quarter when infusing AI features like Veo into Gemini and Flow attracts new consumers and increases use among existing customers. Now, Veo 3 Fast isn't perfect, of course. Topping out at 720p might leave resolution snobs a little cold, and better subtitles are not the same as flawless or nuanced subtitles. Words can be misunderstood, and those parenthetical emotional clues, like people speaking sarcastically or using irony, can be challenging for an AI to interpret accurately at times. Still, it's a lot cheaper to just try again with the model. Three videos a day means you don't have to be precious about your first idea. You can test and experiment with prompts and edits to get the video how you want it. Veo 3 Fast is not promising a Hollywood trailer in two clicks, but it is promising that you'll spend less time staring at progress bars and more time testing your wildest video creation ideas. It's a bit like using models or miniatures to visualize a scene before filming it for real. And even if a video made with the model won't win an Oscar any time soon, it could speed along the tests of ideas that help filmmmakers work out what they want to do when they turn to human actors and editors for the big, expensive set piece they only have one shot to get right.
