The Google Pixel Tablet is at its lowest-ever price thanks to Amazon Prime Day
We may be onto day two of Amazon Prime Day but the deals keep on coming for anyone seeking the latest tech for less. Currently, you can buy the Google Pixel Tablet at Amazon US for $349 (was $499.99) or UK-based readers can pay £299 (was £399) at Amazon UK. In both cases, these are record-low prices for the tablet so if you're keen to step away from the usual option of an iPad or Samsung Galaxy tablet, this is a great opportunity. The Google Pixel Tablet isn't featured in our guide to the best tablets but it still looks like a great option for anyone seeking a reliable tablet. It has an 11-inch screen and it's powered by the Google Tensor G2 chip with Google AI keeping things ticking along nicely. The tablet has never seen a price cut in the UK while the lowest it's dipped in the US is to $379 so you save an extra $30 compared to its price just yesterday. In our Google Pixel Tablet review, we explained how the tablet offers great value as it doubles as a smart display. It's a little smaller than you would expect but there's great performance and sound here. It has useful Home Screen controls even if some apps can look a little cumbersome compared to using on your phone. The highlight is how well it streams shows with a vibrant screen and immersive audio making it a strong entertainment device. The Google Pixel Tablet is also great for playing games and even editing photos due to its speedy processor and useful features you'd only otherwise see on Google Pixel phones.

The 7a has exactly the same processor as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, resulting in speedy processing capabilities. This level of power will keep things moving, even if you're a keen multi-tasker. Prime Day deals discount the Google Pixel 8a to $449
That's the best price we've seen since the phone launched a few months ago. It doesn't get better than the Google Pixel 8a if you want a quality handset for $500 or less. But thanks to Amazon Prime Day, you can get the excellent Android phone for even less. Prime Day deals have knocked $50 off the Pixel 8a, bringing it down to a record low of $449 -- the best price we've seen since it launched a few months ago. The Pixel 8a sits at the top of our list of the best midrange smartphones thanks to its Tensor G3 chipset, 120Hz OLED touchscreen, excellent cameras and strong battery life. The G3 processor not only enables excellent performance, but it also provides handy AI features like Audio Magic Eraser, Best Take and Magic Editor. The 6.1-inch OLED screen produces deep blacks and vibrant colors, and the 120Hz refresh rate goes a long way to making it feel smoother when scrolling. The handset has an IP67 rating as well, so it'll be protected from dust and water. You're getting a rear camera array that includes a 64MP main and 13MP ultra-wide sensors on the Pixel 8a, same as those found in the previous Pixel 7a. But it punches well above its weight, producing images with accurate colors and sharp details, plus Night Sight mode does a good job taking photos in low light conditions. As for battery life, the Pixel 8a lasted over 20 hours in our testing and the handset supports both wired and wireless charging. If you don't want to spend too much money on your next phone but still want a handset with many advanced features, the Pixel 8a is your best bet. However, it's worth noting that Prime Day deals have also brought down the prices of the standard Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro to $499 and $699, respectively.

This is the one Prime Day phone deal you shouldn't miss
An Amazon Prime Day deal has the Google Pixel 7a down to a record-low price. The phone, which only launched last year, typically costs $500 but is available now for half off at $250. Even at its full price, the Google Pixel 7a is a well-rounded device that balances cost and power. At half off, it's worth looking at if you have an older (or lower-end) Android phone and want features and specs that won't be dramatically inferior to many flagship handsets. The phone resembles the Pixel 7, which it riffs off of, and has a two-tone design with a similar camera bar. The build uses thermal-formed polycarbonate (or, as Engadget's Sam Rutherford called it, "nice plastic") that feels premium. The Pixel 7a is also a solid entry point into Google AI if that's your thing. The phone supports Circle to Search, Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser and more. If you're more interested in hardware than AI tricks, the Pixel 7a offers an impressive 6.1-inch OLED screen with 2400 x 1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. ( The latter isn't something you always see in mid-ranged handsets.) The phone uses a Tensor G2 chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Performance won't likely let you down unless you're coming from a higher-end model from the last year or so. It also includes fast charging, IP67 water and dust resistance and a 64MP rear camera (with all of Google's machine-learning photography magic). Its camera held up surprisingly well against the Pixel 7 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra, its pricier generational peers. Its battery lasted over 17 hours in our video rundown tests, passing the Pixel 7 Pro.

Prime Day deals include up to $300 off Google Pixel 8 smartphones
Amazon Prime Day has brought a slew of deals on some of our favorite gadgets, including a top pick of ours for the best smartphone you can get. The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro handsets are down to $499 and $699, respectively, thanks to Prime Day deals. Those are record-low prices for each, with the steepest discount being $300 off the Pixel 8 Pro. Google Pixel smartphones have been some of our favorites for a long time, and if you're an Android loyalist, there are no better phones to get at the moment. In our review, these handsets impressed with their Actua and Super Actua displays, refined design, speedy performance and AI features provided by the new Tensor G3 chipset and improved battery lives. The Pixel 8 is the more compact of the two, with a 6.2-inch touchscreen, and it shares most of the same features with the Pixel 8 Pro. But the latter provides a few extra features including a higher max brightness on its display, a new temperature sensor and configurations with up to 1TB of storage. You'll also get a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 48MP telephoto lens in addition to the 50MP main camera on the Pixel 8 Pro. AI photo features like Best Take and Magic Editor are shared between the two handsets. If you want to get some of the benefits of a Pixel 8 phone without spending quite so much, the good news is that the Pixel 8a midrange handset is also on sale for Prime Day. It's down to a record low of $449, which represents a $50 discount.

This Amazon Prime Day, get the Google Pixel 8 for only $50 more than an 8a
Google Pixel 8 $499 $699 Save $200 The Pixel 8 is a fantastic phone and easily one of the best Google has made. Tensor G3 is a vast improvement over previous generations, and the move to 120Hz to match the 8 Pro is welcome. The Pixel 8 offered great value at it's launch price, so getting one for $500 is a bargain. $499 at Amazon The Pixel 8 is easily Google's best. It isn't perfect, but the Pixel 8 has been a solid improvement over previous generations. The Pixel 9 may be just around the corner, but that doesn't mean you should ignore the Pixel 8, especially when it gets a solid discount -- there's a reason we gave it 9/10 and an Editor's Choice award in our review. Read our review Google Pixel 8 review: The Pixel for the masses The Pixel 8 doesn't need every feature the 8 Pro offers, it's packing more than enough The Pixel 8 already offered great value at $699, especially compared to its competitors, but now you can get it for an absolute steal at just $499, saving 30% this Prime Day. That's for the 128GB model across all three colors: Rose, Obsidian, and Hazel. What's great about the Pixel 8? Close Pixels have always focused on camera quality, and the Pixel 8 is no different. The 50MP primary sensor is excellent, but the Pixel story has always been more than on-paper specs. Google's image processing is hard to beat. The Pixel 1 through 5 all had practically the same camera hardware. Still, it was only towards the end of the Pixel 5 generation that competitors started to pull ahead, only for Google to get back on track with the Pixel 6. The Pixel 8 also mixed machine learning into its camera experience in new ways, with features like Best Take and Magic Editor. Related What is Best Take on the Google Pixel 8? Best Take makes snapping that perfect group photo a breeze Outside of the cameras, the Pixel 8 is still a solid phone. Tensor G3 still has some issues, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of what came before with better cooling and more reliable reception. The Pixel 8 only has 8GB of RAM, which has limited some of the on-device AI features compared to the 8 Pro, but for regular use, this phone is as smooth as butter, as we've come to expect from Google's flagship phones. The 4,575mAh battery gets good longevity, even with a display that can reach 120Hz and 2,000 nits peak brightness, and it can be charged at 27W over USB-C and 18W wirelessly. The only caveat is that you'll need a 2nd gen Pixel Stand to charge wirelessly at 18W, with standard Qi chargers maxing out at 12W. The cherry on top is software support. The Pixel 8 is guaranteed seven years of total software updates, security patches, and feature drops, so although the Pixel 9 is on the horizon, you can buy a discounted Pixel 8 safe in the knowledge that it'll be up to date through to 2030, with spare parts and repairs offered during that time. Prime Day is only just getting into full swing, so check out all the other great deals available this year. Related Prime Day 2024: Best deals on all things Android (and beyond) It's Prime time 3

The Google Pixel 7a for $249 puts other Prime Day deals to shame
A phone with wireless charging, water resistance, and good camera quality for $249? The Google Pixel 8a, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro have all received discounts as part of Prime Day. The former device is currently on sale for $450 ($50 off), but it turns out the Pixel 7a has received an even bigger price drop. The Pixel 7a brings a boatload of features for just $249, namely an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, wireless charging support, a 90Hz OLED screen, and a capable Tensor G2 chipset. You're also getting a pair of good cameras, three major OS updates, and five years of security patches. The Pixel 8a does bring a few extra features over last year's phone, such as seven years of updates, a brighter screen, more AI features, and the Tensor G3 chip. But it's hard to argue that the Pixel 7a doesn't offer more bang for your buck at its discounted price. After all, how many sub-$300 phones offer wireless charging and water resistance?

Forget Pixel 9 Pro -- this Google Pixel 8 Pro Prime Day deal is too good to pass up
Yes, the Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are on the way in August. But if you're in the market for a new Android phone now, these Amazon Prime Day deals are just too big to miss. Right now you can get the Pixel 8 Pro for just $759 at Amazon, which is 28% off the regular price. This is one the best times to grab this AI powerhouse. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 has seen its price drop $559, a full 26% off. If you wanted a Google Phone then this is the best time to try and grab one. Both the Google Pixel 8 and the Google Pixel 8 Pro include a wealth of new AI features, and you would be hard-pressed to find an AI-capable phone at this cost. When we reviewed both phones we noted how easy and seamless the editing of images and videos felt. Both phones come with Audio Magic Eraser and Magic Editor, and recently got access to several other AI features, including the popular Circle to Search. However, the phones offer more than just improved AI capabilites, with Google improving the brightness of both phone's screens to solve one of the biggest issues with the prior models. Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 8 Pro has a new three-camera setup including a 50MP main camera, 48MP Ultrawide and a 48MP Telephoto with 5x optical zoom. However, the Google Pixel 8 isn't a slouch with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide. It should be noted that both phones run off of the Tensor G3 chip, although the Pixel 8 Pro can draw more from the chip than the Pixel 8. However, neither phone is quite as powerful as other phones like the iPhone 15 or Galaxy S24 but they have all they need. If you have been looking for an affordable smartphone that isn't weighed down with hundreds of flashy features that you'll never use then look no further than the Google Pixel 8 Pro. If you want the same, but want it a bit more compact, then the Pixel 8 is perfect for you.
