HP OMEN MAX 16 with Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, RTX 5080 GPU launched in India
HP has introduced the OMEN MAX 16 gaming laptop in India. The laptop combines high-performance hardware with AI-driven features to deliver a seamless gaming experience, the company stated. The OMEN MAX 16 features a metal chassis in Ceramic White or Shadow Black, with an optional RGB light bar and a HyperX-inspired per-key RGB keyboard, both customizable through OMEN Light Studio. Its 16-inch IPS display offers a 2560×1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and full sRGB coverage. It supports variable refresh rate (VRR) to reduce screen tearing during gameplay. Powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and 64GB DDR5 RAM, the laptop efficiently handles demanding games. The OMEN Gaming Hub's Unleashed Mode allows users to adjust power settings for performance or efficiency. Equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU using Blackwell architecture, it supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Studio for enhanced graphics and AI performance, as well as NIM Microservices for AI-powered assistants and workflows. The OMEN MAX 16 supports Ultra Low Latency Gen 3 technology, enabling instant connections with up to three HyperX devices, enhanced by a new ULL radio frequency design and optimized antenna placement for reliable responsiveness. The HP True Vision 1080p FHD IR camera includes temporal noise reduction and dual-array digital microphones for clear video calls and improved low-light performance. It supports Windows Hello facial recognition and features a physical privacy shutter. The laptop uses sustainable materials, including ocean-bound plastics, recycled metals, and post-consumer recycled content, with eco-friendly packaging. It is ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT Gold registered, aligning with HP's environmental goals. The OMEN MAX 16 introduces OMEN AI Beta, an AI-driven tool that optimizes gaming performance by automatically adjusting system settings. It adapts to gameplay patterns, refining OS, hardware, and in-game configurations, starting with support for Counter-Strike 2. HP noted that OMEN AI, described as the first AI-powered game learning application, will evolve to support more titles, simplifying performance tuning for gamers. The laptop offers a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 500 nits brightness. The device comes powered by Intel Core Ultra 9-275HX (24-core) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. It houses 32GB DDR5 RAM which is expandable up to 64GB and gets 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. The thermal setup includes OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro, Cryo Compound (a hybrid of liquid metal and thermal paste), and a vapor chamber that covers 61% of the motherboard, all packed inside a premium aluminum chassis. The laptop also features a full HD IR camera with Windows Hello along with a privacy shutter. It also gets dual array digital microphones with noise reduction. The device also offers a per-key RGB HyperX-inspired keyboard along with an optional RGB light bar (customisable via OMEN Light Studio). The HP Omen Max 16 gaming laptop comes with a starting price of Rs 3,09,999 and is available on the HP Online Store and Amazon India. The customers can initially get Shadow Black colour while a Ceramic White variant is also expected soon.
