Samsung's AI camera tech from its upcoming foldables could trickle down to older Galaxy phones
With summer just around the corner, we know that Samsung's next foldables are on the way, which means the brand has now started its promotional campaign by teasing possible technology we might see in its upcoming phones. And while we don't have all the details quite yet, we do have some credible leaks that indicate the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be quite thin, while also sporting a huge camera bump. Related Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung's slimmest and lightest foldable yet But exactly how thin? Posts 5 It remains to be seen whether Samsung's foldables will deliver when it comes to camera features and quality, but the brand seems to think so with its upcoming AI-powered features. While it was deliberately vague in its own press release, we're getting news that the brand could possibly debut something called GalaxyAI Pro-Visual Engine (via Android Headlines). Will Samsung's AI tech make its cameras better? Of course, it's important we take this information with a bit of skepticism, since we haven't seen anything confirming this detail as of now. According to PandaFlashX, the new AI tech will bring some notable camera improvements when it comes to Samsung's upcoming foldables. If the news we're seeing today pans out, you can expect the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 to get improved image quality with better digital zoom and enhanced stability when taking videos. For the most part, this all seems quite reasonable, considering we've seen other brands make these types of improvements using software as well. The big news here is that this AI technology could be implemented in some of Samsung's other phones as well. Although we don't expect it to find its way to the brand's older phones immediately, PandaFlashX shares that it could make its way to the Galaxy S25 series at the very least. Samsung's done some pretty great things when it comes to implementing AI in its devices, debuting Circle to Search, which has become one of the biggest features to come to Android devices in quite some time. For that reason, we have some big expectations when it comes to its upcoming AI tech that will be featured in its new foldable phones. Of course, we've seen some bad implementations of AI as well, with some feeling that Galaxy AI leaves more to be desired. Luckily, we won't have to wait long to find out how Samsung will take its foldables and Galaxy AI to the next level. While we don't know when the new phones are coming, we do expect them to be here within the next couple of months.

Samsung teases a 'smarter' Galaxy Z Fold 7 camera amid rumors of upgraded hardware
Samsung is in full hype mode around the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (and, to a lesser extent, Flip 7), with its latest teaser hinting at camera improvements, but only ones related to AI. In its continued "The Ultra experience is ready to unfold" series of teasers, Samsung vaguely hints at how AI will make the Galaxy Z Fold 7's camera "smarter." The company says: That's why Samsung Electronics approaches camera innovation as a holistic system, where each advancement is supported by tightly integrated technologies. This unified vision allows Galaxy devices to continuously redefine mobile photography, empowering users to capture, create and communicate more meaningfully. As AI evolves from text-based prompts to multimodal understanding, Galaxy devices are becoming smarter -- able to get what you're looking at and respond to situations. The camera is at the heart of this transformation. More than just a tool for capturing images, coupled with enhanced AI-powered features, the Galaxy camera is now part of the intuitive interface that turns what users see into understanding and action. Everything here is very nondescript, as AI teasers tend to be, but it's clear that Samsung is putting more emphasis on hyping up the Galaxy Z Fold 7's AI features over its camera prowess. That's a bit of a shame, as the company is apparently set to deliver some actual, meaningful improvements. Leaks suggest a 200MP main camera among other upgrades, making this the biggest camera upgrade on a Samsung foldable in three generations. But even if those rumors turn out to be untrue, you can rest assured, there's AI. Yippee.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 teaser suggests a big AI camera upgrade is on the way
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7's cameras are at the center of a third in a series of teasers from Samsung leading up to the expected launch of the new foldable in a few weeks' time. We don't get any details on specs, but we can still pick up what Samsung's putting down regarding how it goes over the importance of all elements of a phone's camera system. The teaser includes a video that seems to represent all the pixels that go into just a single camera of the three normally found on the back of Samsung flagship phones. Samsung then goes into how the camera of a smartphone is important for more than just photography, and can drive AI features to help a user understand the world around them. The post also highlights the importance of privacy, and how a foldable phone makes the camera experience even better. Samsung wraps up by asking users to "Stay tuned. The camera will only get smarter -- helping users capture life's moments more vividly and make everyday experiences more seamless, personal and impactful." The post is then signed off with the apparent tagline for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 -- "The Ultra experience is ready to unfold." Samsung knows how to make a good smartphone camera experience. After all, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the number one phone on our best camera phones guide. But this post is hinting at something more than just the promise of sharper, better looking photos that every new generation of smartphone carries. To me, it feels like Samsung could be hinting at the Galaxy Z Fold 7 adopting something like the iPhone 16 series' Visual Intelligence system, which allows users to explore the world through their camera lens via AI chatbot responses and image analyses. There's no equivalent feature on current Galaxy flagship phones right now, so it would make sense for Samsung to try its own hand at this kind of feature. Whether we get an ultra-grade or an actual Ultra-branded Z Fold (depending on how you interpret Samsung's previous teasers), it looks as if the new Samsung foldable will have a significantly slimmer and lighter design. Whether it's good enough to beat the best foldable phones is another matter, but hopefully we'll find out soon. Samsung normally reveals its new foldables in summer each year, and a July 10 launch date has been tipped for both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Massive Samsung leak tips Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 features -- here's what we could see at Unpacked
Samsung's next foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are likely to launch in the next month. With that leaks and rumors are still popping up sharing new claims about what we can expect from the Korean tech giant. While it's not specifically a list of specs, regular tipster PandaFlashPro posted on X a number of features that Samsung might showcase during the expect July Galaxy Unpacked event. Read on for five things Samsung could highlight next month from an improved camera to better AI. Apparently, Samsung is going to spend a good chunk of the next Unpacked discussing Google's Gemini AI model and how it integrates with the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. One of the highlights could be "Gemini Live," which lets you speak with the chatbot. You can also use your camera to "see" things or images and files as prompts for Gemini. Gemini and Gemini Live already exist for Pixel phones and in some manner on the Galaxy S25 series. It's possibly we could see new Gemini tools built-in to Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. If nothing new is announced than we expect Samsung will likely pitch how well Gemini Live should work on its foldable phones. Additionally, the leaker claims Samsung will highlight Galaxy AI generative edits and Now Brief, introduced in One UI 7 that sends you personalized notifications throughout the day. According to PandaFlash, Samsung won't be sharing too much about the camera set up on the new phones. However, they do note that there will be a 200MP main camera that Samsung should highlight. This does align with previous rumors that the Z Fold 7 will get the same 200MP lens as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. That's a major upgrade over the 50MP camera in the Z Fold 6. Alongside a new camera, Samsung will apparently discuss a next generation Pro-Visual engine and "log video." It's not clear if this is an update to the suite of AI tools that enables things like zooms at night and making sharper images. Samsung has highlighted how much thinner and lighter its phones are this year and the foldables will not be an exception. The company should also discuss the "all-new" ultra-thin glass used in the display. Earlier this month, Samsung promised, "the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet." Like the Z Fold 6 compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 7 should come with a larger 8-inch foldable display, plus a 6.5-inch cover screen. That would be the second year in a row that the company has increased the size of the foldable. Late last week, regular Samsung leaker Ice Universe posted on Weibo that the Z Fold 7 will weigh 215 grams (or about 7.5 oz) which is about 3 grams less than Galaxy S25 Ultra (or one ounce less). That weight should be more noticeable compared to the Z Fold 6, which weighs 8.4 oz (239 grams). There are different rumors about the actual thinness of the Z Fold 7 with some claiming it will be 4.5mm when unfolded. However, different reports suggest the phone will be even slimmer at 3.9mm. According to PandaFlash, don't expect much from Samsung regarding the clamshell foldable Z Flip 7. They said that the Samsung will only mention improved photo quality, a larger cover display and new cases. We've seen rumors that the Flip 7 could have the same cameras as those in the Z Flip 6. So any improvements will likely come from the upgraded ProVisual engine and other software updates. We have seen rumors that the main screen will increase slightly in size with the cover display leaping from 3.4 inches to 4 inches. Which would fit with new cases being announced to properly cover the larger phone. Last week, a rumor popped up that Samsung would show Project Moohan at the next Galaxy Unpacked, but not launch the XR headset. Since revealing the Android XR based headset in January, Samsung has repeatedly shown off Moohan at various other tech conferences this year. So, it's no real surprise that Samsung would have Moohan at its own event. The difference, we're hoping, is that the company finally shares more concrete details about the device. While we've gone heads-on, Samsung has been pretty mum on new details. We don't have a date yet, but all signs point to Samsung keeping its usual July launch window for its foldable phones.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 could get a big behind-the-scenes camera upgrade
The foldables have also both been certified in South Korea, suggesting they're launching soon The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could arrive with a major under-the-hood upgrade that delivers improved photos and videos, based on a new leak. We've previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have a new 200MP camera, but that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 might not be in for any such upgrades, with the same camera hardware as last year tipped. However, the Z Flip 7 could still be capable of taking better photos than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, as both upcoming foldables might have an improved version of Samsung's ProVisual Engine AI image-processing tech. This is according to leaker @PandaFlashPro, who claims that a new version of ProVisual Engine is coming to both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This upgrade will apparently allow for better photo quality, better digital zoom quality, and better video stability. So in other words, both photos and videos could look better on these phones than on their predecessors. ProVisual Engine debuted in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, and it's a suite of AI tools that works in the background to improve photo and video quality - as well as powering things like Generative Edit, which lets you alter photos you've taken. So it's not a new thing, but if this leak is right then the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will get a new and improved version of the tech. However, the source adds that this upgraded version will subsequently land on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as a software update, so you might not have to buy one of the company's upcoming foldables to get it. In other Samsung foldable news, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 have both been certified by SafetyKorea (as spotted by XpertPick). These certifications don't tell us much, but it's mandatory for phones to receive this certification before being sold in South Korea, so this both confirms that the phones are in the works, and suggests they'll land soon, since this certification would usually happen quite close to launch. That makes sense, since based on past form we'd expect both handsets to launch in July, with one leak pointing to a July 10 announcement.

Major Samsung leak predicts the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch highlights - here are 5 things to expect
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could be the next two major smartphone launches (all signs point to a July announcement), and at this point, we have a good idea of what to expect from both new devices. Leaks and rumors have detailed many of their possible specs and upgrades, and now, leaker @PandaFlashPro has even gone so far as to detail the specific features Samsung will supposedly highlight at the phones' July launch. So, below, you'll find the five things Samsung might focus on during its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked showcase - from camera tech to screen sizes. While Gemini and Gemini Live are Google features rather than Samsung ones, the latter company will apparently talk a lot about these tools during the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Gemini is Google's AI chatbot, and Gemini Live is a feature that lets you engage in spoken conversations with said chatbot. You can also show Gemini what your camera can see, or other images or files, and ask it questions about them. None of this is new, but perhaps we'll see new Gemini features baked into the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7, or perhaps Samsung will simply highlight how well Gemini Live works with a foldable form factor. According to this leak, Samsung will also highlight other existing AI features like Generative Edits for photos and Now Brief (a tool that delivers personalized briefings throughout the day). Samsung will also apparently highlight the camera capabilities of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in particular, including its widely rumored new 200MP primary snapper, which will reportedly replace the 50MP one on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. As well as new camera hardware, the company will apparently highlight new software, too, in the form of an improved version of its ProVisual Engine, which runs behind the scenes to optimize photo quality. Samsung will supposedly highlight the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7's thin and durable design at Galaxy Unpacked, including the "all-new" ultra-thin glass on its screen. The aforementioned leaker doesn't say exactly how this glass will be improved over the Z Fold 6's, but presumably it will either be thinner or more durable, or both. And we've previously heard from various sources that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be much slimmer than its predecessor, with one source suggesting the Z Fold 7 will be just 3.9mm thick when unfolded and 8.9mm thick when folded. That's down from 5.6mm and 12.1mm on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. As for durability, we've previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 might have improved water and dust resistance, and that it could have a tough titanium backplate. In fact, Samsung itself has even said the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be slimmer and more durable than the Z Fold 6. It's worth noting that some leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could also be more durable than the previous model, but seemingly, Samsung won't focus on that if this latest claim is accurate. Samsung reportedly won't focus as much on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which makes sense, since leaks suggest this device won't be getting as many upgrades as the Z Fold 7. But according to this latest rumor, one thing Samsung will highlight is the phone's improved photo quality. They don't specify here what the cause of that improved photo quality will be, but this is likely a reference to a new version of Samsung's ProVisual Engine, which is reportedly coming to both upcoming foldables and works behind the scenes to improve images using AI. From what we've heard so far, though, the actual camera hardware on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might be unchanged from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, so there might not be too much for the company to talk about here. The other Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 feature that Samsung will apparently focus on is its cover screen. The source here doesn't detail what this specific display upgrade might be, but we've previously heard that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may have a larger cover screen of around 4 inches (up from 3.4 inches on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6), so it's likely to be the size that's the focus. That increase should make the Galaxy Z Flip 7's display a lot more usable, and according to previous reports, the main display might also be larger this year, at around 6.85 inches (up from 6.7), but that's not mentioned here.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 leak reveals camera and hardware specs, new AI tools
We are inching closer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, and as such, the rumor mill has been circulating some new information about the devices. Samsung's new foldable phones are expected to launch this summer, and they may also come with more AI tools and some hardware improvements over their predecessors, according to a new leak. The information comes from a post on X from noted leaker PandaFlash. For hardware, Samsung is likely keeping things simple. PandaFlash says that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will sport a new 200 MP camera, along with a new visual engine and logarithmic video. There is no word on the cameras on the Flip 7, but PandaFlash notes that it should also receive "improved photo quality," which is no surprise. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. The Flip 7 is also slated to get a slightly larger cover screen. This coincides with a prior rumor from Ross Young, which said the Flip 7 cover screen could be around four inches, larger than the prior 3.6-inch display on the Flip 6. Adorning that screen should be some pretty slick wallpapers with transition animations when unlocking the screen. Both devices are also slated to be thinner, lighter, and more durable. PandaFlash's information lines up with a comically brief and vague blog post from earlier in June, when Samsung proclaimed that the next Galaxy Z devices would be their thinnest and lightest yet. How much thinner or lighter each device will be remains a mystery, but an IceUniverse leak from May suggests that the device could be as thin as 8.9mm when folded and 3.9mm when unfolded. IceUniverse's leak also predicts a 4,400 mAh battery in the Z Fold 7, which is the same as the Z Fold 6, while the Flip 7 will get a boost in battery to 4,300 mAh. Per the norm in 2025, Samsung also intends to pack as much AI into these devices as it can. PandaFlash says that a significant percentage of Samsung's next Unpacked event will talk about Google Gemini and the inclusion of Gemini Live, which launched on Android devices back in April. In addition, Samsung is expected to talk about new Galaxy AI features, Samsung XR, and Samsung's Now Brief feature. In terms of AI, the leaker states that Samsung could also announce new updates to its ProGen Visual Engine, a suite of AI photo and video tools that powers nighttime mode, telezoom, blur reduction, and more. Per the leaker, Galaxy AI will also power new Generative Edit photo features. This all seems to fit in well with what we know already. Samsung has stated that the upcoming foldables will be the first Samsung devices to run Android 16 and One UI 8, although you can sample the latter on the Galaxy S25 series right now. In terms of release date, early July seems to be the consensus. Samsung launched its foldables on July 10 last year, so it makes sense that we would see a repeat performance this year.

Samsung's new flagship Z Fold 7 might come with Veo 3 and other cool AI freebies
Samsung's upcoming foldable flagships, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, will include a Google AI Pro subscription and limited access to Veo 3 AI video generation, a new report claims. Android Authority found some tantalizing clues for this by digging through the code of Google's latest Android app, where Samsung's new foldables are mentioned as eligible for free Google AI offers. If this really turns out to be a free subscription for buyers of Samsung's new foldables, it'll be a very nice bonus, given that the Google AI Pro subscription costs $19.99 per month. It's unclear how long the free subscription will last, though buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S25 got six months of Gemini Advanced (the former name of Google AI Pro) for free. Besides being a nice perk, access to Google AI Pro will likely encourage Samsung phone owners to experiment with Google's AI tools. In the case of Google AI Pro, this means access to Gemini's most capable AI model, 2.5 Pro, as well as Veo 3. Veo 3 is Google's latest AI video generation model, and it's currently the most advanced AI video maker of its kind, delivering both realistic visuals and matching dialogue and sound effects. Per Tech Radar, this deal would give Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 customers free access to Veo 3 Fast as well as Flow, an AI filmmaking tool. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which are likely coming in July, have been detailed in numerous reports and rumors, giving us a pretty good idea of what the phones will be like. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, in particular, is likely to come with a new, 200-megapixel main camera, a large, 4,400mAh battery, and a thinner, lighter, and a more durable body. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will reportedly also boast an ultra-thin design and will have a larger cover display and a 4,300mAh battery. Samsung itself teased an upcoming foldable phone in a press release in June, saying that it will be the "next chapter of Ultra," but the company didn't share any specs or details. The exact launch date for these phones hasn't been announced yet, but it's probably happening in early July. For reference, Samsung launched its foldable phones on July 10 last year, so we're probably looking at a similar date this year.

New Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 image leaks hint at a thin frame and a big camera bump
It looks increasingly likely that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 are going to get their grand unveiling next month, and a couple of new image leaks have given us a better look at how the former handset is going to look. First up we have an image of a Galaxy Z Fold 7 case posted to Reddit (via 9to5Google) which shows how thin the phone is going to be - even when folded - and the significant protrusion the camera module bump is going to add around the back. Samsung has already confirmed that the foldable is going to be the thinnest one yet in the series, while other rumors have pointed to the possibility of a significant camera upgrade as well, which would explain the camera bump. Another leaked image, also posted to Reddit (also via 9to5Google) again shows off the thinness of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This picture seems to be of a stand made for an event - possibly the Unpacked launch event rumored for July. galaxyfold from r/GalaxyFold/comments/1laduur/fold_7_camera_bump_is_huge When it comes to the successor to the 2024 model, which you can read about in our full Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 review, we've already heard plenty in the way of leaks and rumors over the past few months. Yesterday we heard that the foldable could get an improved version of Samsung's ProVisual Engine AI image-processing tech, which will bring with it improvements to photo quality, digital zoom quality, and video stability. Other rumors have been a little more vague: a well-placed source has said the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is going to bring with it 'industry-first' features, without being specific about what they are. Substantial screen, camera, or battery upgrades could be involved. Samsung itself has been teasing an "Ultra" foldable that's coming soon, which may mean this phone gets rebranded, or has a lot in common with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. It would seem there's a lot to look forward to with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
[10]
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could launch with a big free bonus - and it's good news for AI fans
It's possible this bundled subscription will last six months Samsung often chucks in freebies with its high-end phones, and it's looking like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could be no exception, as they might be bundled with a subscription to Google AI Pro. This is according to Android Authority, which while digging around in code for the latest beta version of the Google app, has found reference to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 being eligible for free access to Google AI Pro. This is a subscription service that usually costs $19.99 / £18.99 / AU$32.99 per month, and unlocks access to Veo 3 Fast video generation, as well as Flow (an AI filmmaking tool built with Veo 3). Veo 3 Fast lets you turn text into videos with sound, while Flow lets you do things like edit and extend shots, and directly control the 'camera.' So, if you're interested in AI filmmaking then Google AI Pro is well worth having. Those are arguably the headline features of Google AI Pro, but it also gives you increased access to other AI tools like Gemini 2.5 Pro and Deep Research on 2.5 Pro, along with 2TB of Google One cloud storage. Of course, there's no guarantee the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will actually come with a free subscription to this. But it looks likely, as not only was mention of this spotted in the Google app, but the Samsung Galaxy S25 series launched with a similar freebie. In the case of the Galaxy S25 series you got six months free access to Gemini Advanced, which was basically an earlier iteration of what's now called Google AI Pro. So perhaps the company's upcoming foldables will also include a six-month subscription, but that's just speculation, as Android Authority hasn't found any information on the duration. We should find out exactly what - if any - freebies Samsung has planned soon though, as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will probably both launch in the first half of July.

Samsung won't stop teasing the Galaxy Z Fold 7: here are 3 things revealed already
We're getting a better idea of what the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be Samsung is expected to announce its next generation of foldable devices in the coming months, and while we await confirmation from the South Korean brand on when exactly it plans on revealing the phones it's continuing to tease the upcoming releases. Samsung's remaining coy on exact specs, but with each teaser it publishes we get a clearer picture of what we can expect when the Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch finally happens. Recommended Videos Galazy Z Fold 7 teaser timeline June 3: An 'Ultra' foldable is teased, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 names inadvertently revealed June 9: "The newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet" June 11: Samsung teases triple cameras with AI-powered features on a foldable An 'Ultra' foldable Samsung's June 3 teaser invited us to "meet the next chapter of Ultra" with an animation of a foldable phone which could be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. Samsung looks set to apply the 'Ultra' moniker to an upcoming foldable phone, which would suggest the device will be the best foldable phone the firm will be offering. It's likely to be pretty expensive too, but my colleague Gareth Beavis doesn't see that as an issue. This teaser also gave us a second reveal - whether Samsung meant it or not. I spotted the image used in the release appeared to confirm both the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 as it had the file name "Galaxy-Z-Fold7-Z-Flip7-Pre-tease-Bartype_1920x1080.gif". This release, and all subsequent releases, ends with the tag line "The Ultra experience is ready to unfold" - a Z Fold Ultra device looks almost nailed on to arrive this year. Super slim, but is it the thinnest? Six days later, on June 9, Samsung was back with another Z series teaser, declaring "the newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet". An animated GIF in the post appears to show the outline of a supremely slender foldable, but it comes with a disclaimer which reads "Image simulated for illustrative purposes", so it's not clear how accurate it is. Samsung certainly has its work cut out if it wants the Z Fold 7 to be the thinnest around, with the Honor Magic V3 measuring 9.3mm folded / 4.4mm unfolded, while the Oppo Find N5 is an even more svelte 8.9mm/4.2mm. Honor has itself teased that its upcoming Magic V5 foldable will be even thinner. Last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 by comparison comes in at a portly 12.1mm/5.6mm. Three cameras, with AI at the heart Samsung waited just two more days before unleashing the third Z Fold 7 teaser on June 11, this time focusing on cameras and AI. Another animated GIF was included, this time giving us a hint of a triple camera setup. This isn't huge news considering the Z Fold 6 also comes with three rear cameras, but Samsung pushes the AI-powered features angle by saying "the Galaxy camera is now part of the intuitive interface that turns what users see into understanding and action. "When paired with the flexible, expansive screen of a foldable, this experience becomes even more powerful, dynamic and immersive." This sounds like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have Google's Gemini Live feature built in (or a similar feature with Samsung's own branding), allowing you to open up the camera for the AI assistant to view the world around you and provide contextual information on what it 'sees'. Recent reports point to a Galaxy Unpacked event happening sometime in July, so we may be only a few weeks away from finding out exactly what Samsung has in store for us.

Samsung: Galaxy Z Fold 7 Cameras are Much Ultra
We may earn a commission when you click links to retailers and purchase goods. More info. If you follow Android news, then you're likely aware that Samsung has new foldable devices inbound. I will say, Samsung has gotten better at the whole "hypetrain" thing over the years, but they still have a ways to go if they want to get on a OnePlus or Nothing level or hype. Not that we want that, I'm just saying. The latest piece of marketing Samsung released is with regard to the cameras on the backside of what we assume to be the Galaxy Z Fold 7. You know, what Samsung is calling, "the Next Chapter of Ultra." And while we get no actual specifics, Samsung doesn't shy from mentioning AI multiple times across a couple of paragraphs. To maybe help build upon what Samsung is trying to do here, allow me to explain. The Galaxy S Ultra series of devices have long had better camera systems than the more-expensive Galaxy Z series. This year, it's expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 camera should be right in line with the Galaxy S25 Ultra's, so the people spending nearly $2,000 on a phone won't feel like they're missing out on anything. That's the rumor, at least, as Samsung still hasn't provided any real details. Galaxy Z Fold 7 (and the other new Galaxy foldables) is reported to be announced in early July. That's just a few weeks away.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 AI perks could include free Google AI Pro access - Phandroid
Samsung's next foldables might come with a little bonus: free Google AI Pro access. If you're eyeing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7, there's a good chance you'll get more than just new hardware. You might get a taste of Google's most advanced AI features for free. According to a teardown of the latest Google app beta (version 16.23.69.sa.arm64) by Android Authority, Google is prepping some kind of AI-related promo tied to Samsung's upcoming foldables. While the leak doesn't mention exact details, the wording points to a likely offer of Google AI Pro access -- the subscription previously known as Gemini Advanced. Galaxy Z Fold 7 AI perks could mirror the Galaxy S25's. That phone came with a six-month trial of Gemini Advanced earlier this year. So this wouldn't be uncharted territory for Samsung. The company also partnered with Perplexity AI earlier this year, giving some Galaxy owners a free year of Perplexity Pro in the US. This rumored Google AI Pro promo would also line up with previous leaks suggesting tighter Gemini integration on the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Whether it's for voice assistance, on-device summarization, or generative productivity tools, Google's AI is becoming a bigger part of Samsung's flagship pitch. The only missing piece right now is the duration. Will Z Fold 7 buyers get a generous six months like the S25 series, or will Samsung go all-in with a full year this time around? We won't have to wait long to find out. Samsung's Unpacked 2025 event is expected to happen in early July. Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will feature deeper Gemini AI integration - Phandroid
Looks like AI will steal the show at Samsung's next Unpacked event. A new leak from PandaFlash X suggests the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will lean heavily into Google's Gemini AI. They specifically point out "Gemini Live" as a core feature this year. According to tipster PandaFlash, Samsung plans to highlight Gemini AI integration as a key upgrade for both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. That's not a huge surprise. AI has been front and center in Samsung's recent launches, and this looks like the next step -- real-time Gemini features baked directly into One UI. The Fold 7 also features a new 200MP main camera, a "Next Gen Pro-Visual Engine," and support for log video recording. Samsung seems to want to give content creators more tools, even if it keeps camera talk to a minimum during the keynote. On the hardware side, Samsung is pushing the design narrative again. The Fold 7 is said to be thinner and tougher, thanks to a new "All-New UTG" (Ultra-Thin Glass) and improved hinge engineering. Durability was a pain point in early foldables, so this could be a big talking point. The Flip 7 will reportedly see "improved photo quality," a better cover display, and some new case designs. Other features to watch out for? "Pro-Scaler," "Galaxy AI Generative Edits," and updates to "Now-Brief" and "Samsung XR." No date yet for Unpacked, but if Samsung sticks to tradition, expect it to land sometime in July.
