In a significant move to advance artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics research in India, GITAM (Deemed to be University) has entered into a strategic partnership with Sirena Technologies. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will lead to the establishment of a state-of-the-art Robotics & AI Research and Development Centre at GITAM's Bengaluru campus 12.

The partnership aligns with the Government of India's ambitious vision to position the country as a global leader in AI and emerging technologies. Recognizing the transformative potential of AI in revolutionizing industries and reshaping the future of work and innovation, this initiative aims to foster deep expertise in AI within the academic setting 12.

Key Objectives of the Collaboration

The newly established R&D centre will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research, product development, and hands-on training in robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. The collaboration aims to:

  1. Conduct groundbreaking research and foster innovation in robotics and AI
  2. Provide valuable internship and employment opportunities for GITAM students
