EY launches Bengaluru AI centre to help firms test and scale AI transformation
EY has launched a state-of-the-art 40,000-square-foot AI innovation hub in Bengaluru, designed to support clients in the exploration and deployment of artificial intelligence solutions. This initiative is a key component of EY's major $1.4 billion commitment to advancing AI technology. Businesses from around the globe and within India can delve into innovative business strategies and enhance their operational effectiveness. Mumbai: As the Big Four professional services firms race to turn their India-based global capability centres into AI innovation hubs, EY on Thursday launched a 40,000-square-foot immersive experience center in Bengaluru aimed at helping global and Indian clients test, simulate and deploy AI-led transformation initiatives. The center is part of the EY organisation's broader $1.4 billion investment in artificial intelligence and will serve as a showcase for AI-led transformation, enabling companies to experiment with how technology can help them create new business models, increase efficiency and accelerate innovation. The facility was inaugurated by Janet Truncale, Global Chair and CEO of EY, who has been on a three-day visit to India. At the center, EY is bringing together strategy, industry expertise, engineering capabilities and execution under one roof so that clients can move seamlessly from idea to implementation. Business leaders can experience, test and assess the impact of emerging technologies before scaling them across their organisations. Using technologies such as agentic AI, robotics, digital twins and conversational AI, the facility will enable organisations to simulate business scenarios, assess potential outcomes and accelerate execution, helping bridge the gap between strategy and operational outcomes. "AI is fundamentally reshaping how organizations think, make decisions and create value. The ey. ai Center for Reimagination is where strategy meets execution, a space where leaders can test ideas responsibly and define a clear path to scale. By piloting AI in controlled environments, we are helping leaders reimagine their organizations with confidence," said Truncale. "It's our belief that the future will be shaped by leaders who can connect innovation and technology with purpose, trust and human judgment. The ey. ai Center brings that vision to life." Ajay Anand, Global Vice Chair, EY Global Delivery Services, said AI had moved beyond experimentation and become a business imperative. "Many organisations are still grappling with what transformation truly looks like at scale. The ey. ai Center for Reimagination is designed to bridge that gap, helping leaders move from intent to execution and translate AI ambition into tangible business outcomes," he said. The center will focus on sectors including life sciences, industrial products, consumer products and retail, banking and capital markets, and energy. EY said many of the technologies and use cases showcased at the facility are cross-industry in nature, making the center relevant for enterprises navigating AI-driven disruption across sectors. The investment is also expected to create specialised roles spanning AI engineering, immersive experience design, digital twin modelling, simulation technologies, human-centred design and business transformation. The company said that, at its core, the ey. ai Center for Reimagination is designed to help organisations tackle business challenges through immersive simulations while building the agility needed to adapt to increasingly complex technological and market disruptions.
