Bloomsbury Publishing secures millions from Anthropic settlement over AI training on copyrighted works
Bloomsbury Publishing will receive approximately $21 million from Anthropic's $1.5 billion copyright settlement, the largest in US history. The payout covers 14,087 titles at roughly $3,000 per work, split equally between authors and publishers. A federal judge approved the deal Monday, resolving claims that Anthropic used pirated books to train its Claude AI models.
