Govee launched a handful of new lighting options at IFA 2026, ranging from another ceiling light that responds to daylight to COB LED strips that use prompts to generate your lighting conditions. Govee has been pushing to become one of the biggest names in smart home lighting, competing with massive brands like Philips Hue, GE Cync, and more. It's recently begun expanding into ceiling lights, with a release earlier in the year that hinged on creating "living art." The ceiling light collection is growing with Govee's IFA releases. The new Govee Sky Ceiling Light is an "AI-powered mood-responsive" option, because this is 2026 and every device needs a little AI. Right? Calling it an AI light does it a bit of a disservice, because it sounds like a genuinely cool concept. Govee is working around the comfort wavelengths using the "vitality spectrum technology." In essence, the ceiling light produces wavelengths that make up for deficiencies in natural lighting. Govee says this helps users maintain alertness during darker days. The Sky Ceiling Light has a color temperature range from 1,000K to 10,000K, reaching up to 7,000 lumens of white light. Users will get the most out of it by using the "DaySync" feature in the Govee app, which uses weather and time data to adjust comfortable lighting conditions. The massive ceiling light comes at a cost of $399. On the more vibrant side of things, the Govee COB Strip Light 2 Pro uses AI in a similar way. Users can write prompts to generate lighting conditions for their space. It's all need-dependent, and the AI Lighting Bot 2.0 model will create light sequences for different scenarios. COB lights produce flicker-free output, and the Strip Light 2 Pro has 1,344 LEDs per meter with a triple-layer groove design. Govee says this ensures flawless output in single-color and dynamic color modes. The color temperature range echoes that of the ceiling light at 1,000K to 10,000K, and it uses Govee's LumiBlend+ color engine to produce accurate colors. The Pro model is Govee's flagship LED strip at $169 per 5m, but the COB Strip Light 2 will also be available at a more affordable $99. Govee Debuts $400 Matter-Enabled Sky Ceiling Light

Govee today introduced three new lighting products, including theSky Ceiling Light, COB Strip Light 2 Pro, and Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro. Govee says the $400 Matter-enabled Sky Ceiling Light is a "mood-responsive" light that uses AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to set the color of the light based on the user's mood or request. The light has a 478nm sky-blue spectrum for use indoors when daylight is limited, which Govee claims supports the body's "natural vitality and rhythm." It also offers white light across a 1,000K to 10,000K temperature range, with up to 7,000 lumens. The $170 COB Strip Light 2 Pro displays custom light scenes using AI text prompts. Govee says users can curate ambient lighting for gaming, parties, movie nights, and more. The light strip has 1,344 LEDs and 16 ICs per meter, plus a triple-layer groove design for smooth output in single-color and multi-color modes. Govee's Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro feature a dual-layer design with two independently controlled ICs per light head, which allows the top and bottom zones to show different colors and effects at once. Like Govee's other lights, the Outdoor Lights 2 Pro can be controlled with AI Lighting Bot 2.0 and are priced starting at $500. The Sky Ceiling Light and COB Strip Light 2 Pro will be available from Govee on September 4, while the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro will launch on September 7.
