Larsen & Toubro will build India's largest AI infrastructure for Together AI. This mega order involves deploying ten thousand NVIDIA B300 GPUs in Chennai. The project marks L&T's significant entry into the AI Factory business sector. This facility will support large-scale AI training and inference workloads. The AI Factory is planned as a gigawatt-scale infrastructure site. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said it has secured a mega order to build what it described as India's largest single-cluster AI infrastructure, deploying 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs at its Chennai data centre campus for US-based AI cloud company Together AI. The order is classified to be in the range of Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 15,000 crore. The project marks L&T's entry into the AI Factory business as the company looks to expand its presence in AI infrastructure. The facility will support Together AI's AI-native cloud platform, catering to large-scale AI training, inference and fine-tuning workloads. The shares of Larsen Toubro were trading at Rs 4046.55 apiece on the BSE, up 1.37% on Thursday as of 11.40 AM. The AI Factory will be developed by L&T's AI infrastructure subsidiary LTN Compute, part of Vyoma.AI, and hosted at Vyoma's Chennai data centre campus. The Chennai campus is planned as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site. Its first phase is designed for 250 MW, with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, allowing the company to expand AI Factory capacity in the future. The infrastructure will combine data centre capacity with accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects, parallel storage and AI infrastructure operations. The platform is designed to allow customers to deploy and scale AI workloads through a single infrastructure stack. The company said these services will cater to governments, enterprises, cloud providers and AI companies as demand for computing infrastructure grows.

India's Larsen & ?Toubro said it secured ?an ?order worth up to $1.6 billion from U.S.-based cloud company Together AI to build ?an Nvidia AI factory that would be India's largest such AI infrastructure deployment. Vyoma.AI, an L&T company, will deploy Nvidia B300 graphics processing units at its Chennai data center campus to power Nvidia-backed startup Together AI's AI-native cloud platform for large-scale training and inference, L&T said Thursday. The AI factory will have capacity of 10,000 B300 Nvidia GPUs, making it India's largest single-cluster AI infrastructure. The order is worth between 100 billion ?rupees and 150 billion rupees, equivalent to between $1.05 ?billion and $1.57 ?billion, L&T said. It said the order was secured through LTN Compute, an AI infrastructure subsidiary of Vyoma.AI, marking ?L&T's foray into the AI factory ?business. LTN Compute builds digital infrastructure in India through hyperscale AI data centers, sovereign cloud platforms, AI factory services, GPU-as-a-service and managed AI platforms to support governments, enterprises, cloud providers and AI innovators. Together AI last month raised $800 million in a series C funding round at an $8.3 billion valuation that included investors such as Nvidia, Aramco Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.
