You can simply circle an area on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro's touchscreen to perform a search for it. And there's a new feature called Photo Remaster that can sharpen images with AI upscaling. The Galaxy Book 5 Pro also offers a new feature called Vision Booster that adjusts the display's contrast and colors to improve visibility outdoors. The 14- and 16-inch displays are rated for 500 nits of brightness, which is ample for indoors but not under direct sunlight should you find a nice spot in the park to work. Battery life estimates look pretty good for the Galaxy Book 5 Pro. Samsung says the 14-inch model's 63.1WHr battery will run for 21 hours, and the 16-inch model with its larger 76.1WHr battery will last 25 hours. Graphics pros eyeing the 16-inch Galaxy Book 5 Pro as a potential content-creation machine will be disappointed to learn that it offers only integrated Intel Arc graphics. You'll need to wait for a possible Ultra variant to arrive that might deliver an RTX GPU. The Galaxy Book 5 360 convertible is the step-down version of the previous Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360. It's based on an old-school 15.6-inch, 16:9 AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The lower-resolution display and big, 68.1WHr battery allow it to run for up to 31 hours, according to Samsung's estimate. Samsung has yet to share pricing, but it's safe to assume it'll be similar to that of the Galaxy Book 4 Pro line. The 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 costs $1,450, and the 16-inch model costs $1,650. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book 4 360 costs $1,350. The new models are slated to start shipping in February.

(Although that means the smaller model has a higher pixel density.) The 16-inch model is a svelte 0.49 inch (12.5mm) thick and weighs 3.44 pounds. It's estimated for 25 hours of video playback. Its 14-inch counterpart is a bit thinner at 0.46 inch (11.7mm) but is 21 percent lighter at 2.71 pounds. Its estimated battery life is significantly less at 21 hours of video playback. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book5 360 has a 15.6-inch AMOLED touch display with a mere 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. (Samsung launched a "Pro" variant late last year with a sharper and smoother 3K / 120Hz screen.) The company says its new model of folding 2-in-1 is good for 31 hours of video playback. All three devices can be fitted with Intel Core Ultra 7 "Evo" processors, but that only comes standard in the 16-inch Galaxy Book5 Pro. The 14-inch model and Galaxy Book5 360 use a Core Ultra 5 "Evo" chip in their cheapest configurations. Both Galaxy Book5 Pro variants offer 16GB and 32GB memory options and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage tiers. The Galaxy Book5 360 is limited to 16GB of memory and 256GB or 512GB of storage. Samsung says pricing and retail partner info are coming soon. All three Galaxy Book5 models will be available in February in the US, Canada, UK, Germany and France.

It also features quad Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers with 38mm woofers, double the size of the 18mm woofers on Galaxy Book 4 Pro.
