If you think that offline translation could come in handy, but don't want to build or buy your own device, there are also free options available if you don't want to pay for a separate tool. Apple's Translate app allows for offline translation, but you'll need to enable it manually by heading to the Settings tab and downloading the appropriate language pack. The caveat is that Apple warns offline translation may be prone to inaccuracies. Google Translate also provides offline translation if you enable it and download the right packs, but it doesn't support audio at the time of writing; just text and images.
