viaim's New Earbuds Don't Just Record Meetings, They Take Action
If you've ever left a meeting and forgotten half of what was decided, viaim thinks it has the fix. The company already makes earbuds that record and transcribe your meetings automatically. However, at IFA 2026, it introduced Rise. These are a new pair of AI earbuds built around a charging case that pops the buds up when you press the two side latches. This time, it goes a step further. Rise can turn your conversations into drafted emails and task lists that AI agents like ChatGPT or Claude can process. Why this matters if you sit through a lot of meetings Most people who record meetings still end up doing the annoying part themselves. That means reading back through notes, writing a follow-up email, and remembering who agreed to do what. viaim's earlier earbuds handle the recording and transcribing side of that work pretty well. However, Rise is designed to take things one step further. It extends that workflow by turning a recorded conversation into an editable summary, follow-up draft and task list for your AI agents to capture a more comprehensive context, from a plain recording gadget to something closer to an assistant that finishes work for you. In case you're worried about privacy, viaim says the earbuds don't keep raw audio unless you specifically start a recording. A background mode called Ambient Listening can build a running memory of topics and decisions from nearby conversation. The company says it processes that in short chunks and doesn't save the actual audio behind it, and users can schedule when the mode runs, and it stops when the app exits. viaim plans to add Ambient Listening in mid-October 2026. How the earbuds and case actually work Most wireless earbuds come with a case with a lid that you flip open and take the earbuds out. But with the Rise, viaim has built in a nifty mechanical party trick. Press the two side latches and the earbuds physically rise up, out of the case as recording starts. No phone unlock required. The case isn't just a charger, either. It has its own three-microphone array, so it can record a meeting sitting on a table even if nobody is wearing the earbuds. For sound, viaim is using an 11mm and 6mm dual-driver setup with support for high-resolution audio codecs. The company also says it's working with Bose on the audio tuning. This means that if you want to use the earbuds for music and movies, it is more than capable. It most definitely isn't a one-trick pony. There's also an 11-microphone system, including sensors that pick up vibrations through your jaw. This is meant to keep your voice clear on calls in noisy places. With ANC off, battery life is rated at 25 hours of playback combined between the earbuds and the case. The hardware covers the basics people expect now too, including Bluetooth 6.1 and IP55 water resistance on the earbuds. Also, surprisingly, there is support for Apple's Find My network and even MagSafe charging. Perfect for those who have adopted either MagSafe or Qi2. What the AI side is supposed to do with what it hears Recording is just half of the story here. The more interesting and pertinent question is, what does it do once you're done recording? According to viaim, it uses a feature called Space Intelligence. This helps users connect what gets recorded with your documents and project history, and can compare newly information with that context to identify changes, risks, unresolved questions and possible next steps. From there, viaim's assistant, called Vitana, can flag things like new risks or decisions buried in a meeting or mentioned in passing. There's also a system called Task Broker that can then route supported jobs you approve into other AI agent tools. That includes ChatGPT, Claude Code and other coding tools. The company plans to add more integrations through 2027. We've heard several nightmare stories of agentic AI going rogue, but don't worry. None of that happens automatically in the background. viaim says any external or hight-risk actions, including sending messages or changing data in another service, still need your approval before it's sent anywhere. That's actually quite important, given how much access an assistant like this would need to your calendar, email and files. At the company level, viaim reports ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications and a SOC 2 Type II report. viaim also maintains company-level capabilities and infrastructure designed to support HIPPA compliance workflows. Built for GDPR, users can access, correct, export or delete their data and withdraw consent at any time. The company says supported data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Pricing and when you can actually get one viaim hasn't published a final price yet. The company has floated an estimated retail price around $399, but that's not locked in. Early-backer pricing is expected to be announced once the crowdfunding campaign is live. As for availability, Rise is launching through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, not on store shelves right away. So, if you think that these earbuds are something that could boost your productivity to the next level, you can follow the viaim Rise Indiegogo page for launch pricing, shipping availability and campaign updates.

IFA Award-Winning viaim Rise AI Agent Earbuds Launch on Indiegogo September 8
In today's fast-paced mobile workspace, we constantly move between virtual meetings, phone calls, and spontaneous brainstorming sessions, often struggling to retain every critical detail. While standard note-taking apps and recording tools catch basic audio, they leave us to manually sort transcripts and update task trackers ourselves. Fresh off the 2026 IFA Innovation Award for 'Best in Audio' and being named a 'Best in Design' Honoree, the newly announced viaim Rise aims to fix this friction by turning wearable audio into an active productivity portal. More Than Playback: The AI Agent Earbud Concept Rather than functioning as passive hearables, the viaim Rise earbuds establish a fresh hardware category built around a simple framework: Listen, Think, and Act. Instead of stopping at simple audio recording, the system acts as a proactive bridge between spoken dialogue and your active digital tools: * Listen: Captures live conversations, phone calls, and audio streams automatically without requiring manual note-taking. * Think: Organizes recordings into dedicated project spaces, detecting key decisions, progress updates, and emerging risks across conversations. * Act: Transforms spoken discussions into structured summaries, actionable task lists, and follow-up drafts ready for immediate deployment. Hardware Breakdown: Audio & Performance Specs Underneath the AI capabilities, viaim has packed the Rise with solid acoustic and hardware specifications for audiophiles and power users alike: * Dual-Driver Acoustics: Coaxial dual-driver system featuring an 11 mm bass driver and 6 mm treble driver (20 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response). * Hi-Res Audio Codecs: Official Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification with support for SBC, AAC, LDAC, codecs. * Microphone & Sensor Array: 11 total microphones (3 mics + 1 VPU bone-conduction sensor per earbud, plus a 3-microphone array inside the Smart Case) for AI noise reduction and voice clarity. * Active Noise Cancellation: Adaptive ANC with natural Transparency Mode and voice pass-through. * PC Kit & LE Mode: Direct Type-C wired connection to PC allows the Smart Case to act as an external microphone, while LE Mode provides customized low-latency wireless audio during virtual meetings. * Battery & Charging: approximately 6 hours of music playback with ANC off, extending to nearly 25 hours total with the case, alongside USB-C and Qi wireless charging support. Smart Workflow, Vitana, and LLM Integration The Smart Case adds a physical shortcut for recording and Vitana interactions, it lets users initiate recordings or run AI operations immediately without opening the lid or unlocking a phone. Through the built-in Vitana voice portal, Rise is being designed to prepare task drafts and hand relevant context to leading AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini after setup. Once you confirm a draft or prompt by voice, the system automatically writes back results to your productivity tools. For international workflows, the device handles 78 languages and 145 accents with real-time tri-language auto-detection. Indiegogo Launch Details The viaim Rise AI Agent Earbuds go live globally on Indiegogo starting September 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET. Here is how the launch offer breaks down: * Super Early-Bird Price: $259 (offering savings against the expected $399 MSRP). * Included Bonus: Every campaign backer receives a complimentary 3-month viaim Pro subscription to access advanced AI models and features.
